"IPK is not for mature people." - Don't throw anything at me, I read this in a post I didn't bother to respond to.

I am left wondering how far along this show has come from being the show we kept our children away from to the show where the children are the true appreciaters of the comedy being shown. (Maybe it's because I am boring and wouldn't know a real good joke if it walked up and mooned me).

Let's be honest. This isn't the same show it once was. There is no hint of Mills and Boon anymore, there is no glimmer of intense love story and there is no more opposites attract - unless we use this whole sangeet Guptas versus Raizadas thing as a loose (and I mean so loose, your pants dropped to the floor) interpretation.

Do you think the PH will bring it back around to what this show was supposed to be? Or is this the way it will be going forward. An appeal to the family audience - a jack of all trades for the masses, so saas bahu and baby can sit around and guffaw at the macchar slap dance, the saas and bahu can sit around and watch a tepid one way love story where the girl shows absolutely no interest in any 'dhak dhak' and transforms a man with speeches on sanskar - that if the bahu ever gave to the saas' son, would earn her a one way ticket to her maayka.

Can it go back to right before La left? SaRun don't feel inspired by this script anymore. I don't see the sparks. I did for an instant yesterday at the start of the episode and poof! it was gone. I am hanging on by a thread.

You are right Anu.

The show was inspired by Mills and Boon and we all know what age group Mills and Boon caters too.

This show was not originally meant for 12-13 years olds. I am surprised to see that 12-13 year olds were allowed to watch the show after the second episode when the pearl strings were ripped. My parents would never allow me to watch it if I was 13.

I was surprised that the channel gave it the 8:00 pm slot.

They should have aired it at a later time slot with a rating. In that way the original plot could have been maintained

To make it suitable for the family audience the show has been diluted and the storyline has completely deviated.

Now I seriously wish I was 12 in order to appreciate this show. 😕

Yeah Anu! IPK s definitely not for mature people...
It s for people who wanna c human version of Tom n Jerry! (heck, I love dat too...but I m satisfied with animated version)
It was no more the show where the male yanked strings of the gal's blouse ...Actually, he shud have pulled her pig tails...no side plait! so dat she can take revenge by hiding his pen!

My dear Anu, this qualifies me a bore too --- cuz I am trying hard to tickle my funny bone and haven't found the humor in this track yet!!! Infact, this leaves me a bit disillusioned since I don't recognize the characters anymore. I am getting confused with this show and another one on at 7 pm!!!

Thanks for posting this!

i wish barun and sanaya could have atleast understood the impact IPK has had on the viewers... and requested the PH to do justice to d show...

its true that they have to follow the script blindly.. and they remain totally unaffected by their onscreen characters.. but i wonder.. havent they become ataached to ASR and KHUSHi in a way like v have?
i aint bashing them at all.. just my thinking..that if they explain lalit, and the PH.. about the viewer's choice.. it might make a difference...coz PH has completely forgotten what the story is actually supposed to b...
ur anu right? a warm . 🤗to u.. a really nice post...

I think Barun & Sanaya are aware of our reactions to the show & how we all feel, but I don't think there is anything they can do about it. They are at the mercy of the scriptwriters & the CVs pretty much.

Anu I totally agree with you - This show has gone down the drain - it is no longer meant for adults, rather for kids - this should be called the new comedy circus on Sony

There was complaint earlier that it is getting too much physical
I think the CVs had taken it seriously

I really hoped they did'nt! It is very much needed in this show to show the intensity of feelings! I felt that way too, whether it has disappeared! but i saw little (very little progress) today, between the leads! 😊 That makes me believe it's not gone out completely, but 'll come back in time! 😊 (hoping, really!)

That has nothing to do with good writing. They are butchering the characters with no story to hold them up.
ASR is intense - he bashed in face of a gunda - where were the cries of too physical then.
I did not like ASR's ripping of the dori or when he bruised her AT ALL, but we did not even give him a chance to repent before cutting his knees off.
