Do you do a Sanity Check?
I believe we need one at times. A bit of reasoning and reflection will do us good.
It could be about work, relationships, behavior, studies etc.

The greater freedom we have the larger is the chances to make mistakes or go astray.
The world is full of pitfalls and many if us may lack the discipline.

Example:
Too much food makes us lazy and sleepy. So over indulgence is bad, but often we get carried away and suffer the consequences. But the scales will not lie and neither the clothes that do not fit anymore.

Work/Studies:
Are we getting too complacent and neglecting our duties or procrastinating?

Summer, It is good that we do sanity checks. The problem is what to do after the results come out. If we were to act on those we wont be needing future checks lol.

We've all got to keep a check on what we're doing all the time, or we deviate quicker than we can imagine but I guess that's all to it, you can't really keeping checking if your sanity's still intact cause for all we know, ouch, some don't even have it to lose any. 😳

Yes it is true to some extent.
However, humans and machines both need regular maintenance. But once perfection is reached then no maintenance needed.
There is one part if us that is perfect and another part, the shadow, that is imperfect.
Sometimes we do not realize our faults ..,

Shakespeare wrote "the eye see not itself but by reflection ..."
He had great insight and understanding.

i don't know if by sanity check you mean Introspection Summerji?
I do introspection from time to time...especially when something goes wrong...to see if I share part of the blame...

Blue Ice ji you need no sanity check.
Introspection is reflection and soul searching. Yep this is at a higher level.
Sanity check applies less to persons with good habits and displine. Happens that the mind is a dangerous creature and gets carried away by worldly distractions and habits.
