Kids to entertain viewers in Sa Re Ga Ma

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005 did wonders for Zee TV by providing a platform for singing talents across the country. Hoping to continue the same spell of success, the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa team is ready with yet another trump card called Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champ — a kids special.

"Little champ is a children's special wherein eight to 14 year olds across the country can participate," reveals Gajendra Singh, the man behind the success stories of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and Antakshari. "Auditions will be held in Delhi, Kolkata, Lucknow and Mumbai wherein the best of the pack will be selected and brought for the shoot," says Singh. The show is expected to go on air in July this year.

Explaining the reason behind deciding on a kids' special, Gajendra Singh said that whenever he had special episodes on kids in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, the response they got was overwhelming, so they thought of doing an entire series on children. "Another high point is that Shaan is coming back as the host," adds Singh.

And what about the winner, will he/she also be cutting an album of his/her own the way Challenge winner Debojit did?"It's more than that," smiles Gajendra. "The winner will get a scholarship, which means free education for life."
