Hey guys,
I am an avid fan of Bigg Boss 5 and have been a silent spectator on the forums as i've never felt a strong enough urge to agree or disagree with any of the topics being discussed.
However, I feel pretty disgusted by the interpretation provided for today's episode's Mahek and Sid scene.
For crying out loud, they weren't arguing over who was 'akela khadda'?!
If you watch and listen properly, Sid is wanting to know why Mahek doesn't feel that he was right in the jailer task when he was arguing with Sky alone and she does think he was right in yesterday's argument.
The beauty of Mahek is that she will never refrain from telling the truth so of course just because they're good friends she doesn't back down and say yes you were right in the jailer task.
She explains to him that in my opinion you weren't right because you were shouting as much as him and she doesn't believe that that is right as it doesn't make you a better person. It is when Sid points out that he didn't stoop down to Sky's level yesterday when his family was mentioned that Mahek points out:
"Exactly, maine aapko uss waqt bola bhi, "You know what? I'm proud of you that you did not wapas mudkar uske family ke upar keechad nahin phenka."
The reason why we adore Mahek is that she will always stick up for what she feels is right and that has been her biggest strength but also her biggest downfall as although the masses have loved her honesty, we live in a society where there is a minority who cannot tolerate the truth and always hide or run away from it.
In all honesty, I was a huge Mahek fan from the early days and was extremely upset when she was evicted and wished that there'd be some miracle in which she'd come back and she did.
When she came back, there was a risk that she would be big headed, playing for the cameras, use the knowledge that she had gained from the outside world to instigate fights between the contestants and for these reasons I was scared that she'd ruin the reputation that she had built.
This was a huge advantage and who wouldn't use it?
Of course, if she was in the house to play tedious games (like Amar, Juhi and Sky) then she would have undoubtedly done the above.
The reason why i'm an even bigger fan of Mahek Chahal today is that she didn't use ANY of this to her advantage but stuck to her roots.
Also, had she not come back we would never have witnessed such a beautiful but hidden part of Sid - he has grown the most in this show and has won so manyy more hearts in the last few weeks.
This is why we love you Mahek Chahal, you're not the jagrahlu character you're made out to be by others - after today I fully understand that you *only* defend the right and don't compromise that for any friend/situation at any cost. Not many can do that.
I wish Mahek all the best for the final's. Here's to hoping that she wins and always stays like this.
