Hello everyone 😊,
I am a silent reader of this forum and this is my 1st topic here so please be kind. And don't mean to offend anyone here, if you do disagree with anything in this post please say so in a civil manner and I will be more than happy to discuss it.

Anyways I would like to share my opinion on the show and give you all a glimpse into my personal life as my family has some similarity to relationships portrayed in this soap.

I would like to begin with the devil lady called Swamini and closeness with Viren. Many term it as unhealthy and possessive. I can speak from personal experience as I am very close to my 'bua' and call her badi maa as well. I have 5 buas but I only call one of them badi maa because I am closest to her. Since I started calling her badi maa all my cousins and my sibling call her badi maa as well. Just because I call my buaa badi maa does not mean that I love my mom any less. I respect and love my mother to no limit however every important decision I have taken in my life I have consulted mom and badi maa, They both are very important to me and each of them hold a very important place in my life.

You don't have to give birth to baby to be motherly towards a child. Swamini's love or some would call it obsession is not because Viren is her son, she is drawn to Viren as he is first born and she shares a special connection with him just like my badi maa shares a special connection with me. Having said that Swamini's behavior is over the top and her love for Viren is getting a little out of hand but then this is a show and if it was not over the top what would be talk about? And what would we watch on tv?

Coming to the hot or shall I say a touchy topic on this forum i.e Manvi and Jeevika (please don't throw shoes at me lol) I am the older sister and shall I say more responsible then my younger devil sister lol. Having said that I am not goody two shoes like Jeevika I am human and I make a lot of mistakes, upset my parents, upset my badi maa, upset my friends. My younger sister is goofy and screws things a lot more but is not a complete goofball like Manvi. What we have to understand is that these are television characters and balance is not what they etch. All these characters are very unidemensional and sadly that is not how real life is. We all have different facets to ourselves and that's what gives us our distinctive personality.

Manvi and Jeevika share a very special relationship and to compare them is like comparing apples to oranges. Both are special and their lovely relationship forms the basis of this show. These are two special sisters and from perfect jodi's with their respective male leads. What would be the point of watching the show if Viren-Jeevika behaved like Virat-Manvi or vice-a-versa. All four characters give life to the show and make it an interesting watch. I love the banter of Virat-Manvi and the mature intense love of Viren-Jeevika. For me this show would be incomplete without each of them and I am very glad that I get to watch a show where I get to see love in every aspect. Badi maa's love disguised in possessiveness, a sister's love disguised in anger at the moment, a brother's love disguised in disappointment currently and a husband's love disguised in distance. So let's rejoice love in all it's forms, shapes and sizes ❤️.

Hello there! Finally decided to post?! 😉

This show has portrayed every relationship very beautifully with a lot of substance. Frankly I don't really understand why the slightly over-the-top love is classified as 'unhealthy'. Relationships are tender and need to be judged on their own merit. It's easy to judge from far and call it obsessive but if you're not that in position then you don't really 'get' it. I've always said that the opposites in this show are the sisters not the couples for a change and that's refreshing to see.

I'm looking forward to see how all these varied relations grow. Needless to say JM are the ones I am most intrigued by.

Sab se pehle welcome to the forum! 😃
I super agree with this post! I love the relationship Swamini and Viren share! I always adored them and have always liked Swamini! She is not obsessed with Viren but she loves him like hell! She doesnt have any kid and Viren being the eldest and first child of that family Swamini loves him much more! And esp his etiquettes and his principles! He is like the adarsh son, so she loves him even more! I loved the scene on wednesday! That slight tear that came out of her eyes while over-hearing the four's convo was outstanding! And like said Viren is extremely hurt that he unknowningly hurt her! Love this bond between these two! 😳
About Virika, super love the way you added 'mature' to their love! Love these two for silently loving each other! Their actions speak for them! Remember the new year eve when Virman were gayab and Virika were silently only through their actions consoled each other! Loved that scene! And every other scene between these two! These two just create magic when they're onscreen! 😳

first of all.. like yer avi.. forget like LOVE IT.. secondly yer user name.. eyes wide shut.. has it got anything to do wid d movie.. coz i like tht movie too😃 bold true.. but very open and free.. in its concept..

like how you put it.. i agree for the most part.. i dont yet think Swamini is out of line in her sentiments.. she is entitled to it.. she has gone into a shell.. she is not messing with anyone.. she is just upset wid viren.. and by right of their mutual affection showing it TO HIM.. her anger is vented on him.. and Viren on his part.. is just distancing himself from everyone till he can sort it out between both of them.. esp coz he is upset and he doesnt want to say or do anything that would hurt J or M or anyone else..

as human beings we are all entitled to our space esp when something too close for comfort is threatened.. its called natural RECOIL.. its not spineless on viren's part to not take a stand.. coz maturity entails in giving the other time.. Swamini and Viren know each other best and are the best to figure how to dissolve the situation.. the rest should just wait and watch.. Manu is young and just cant see this aspect of life or personalities in her simple mind.. and there lies the problem. .she is doing more harm coz Swamini may end up feeling that now Viren's wife and her family are trying to interfere in a space meant for only SV.. which is already slippery in her perception..

Finally kudos for acknowledging the role of a mentor and foster parent cant be undervalued.. we come from a land of preachings of Guru hi saakshaat parambramha, tasmaishree guru ve namah.. most ppl just dont seem to see it

Hey Reemz 😊 so yes after a lot of hesitation I took the plunge and here I am with my first topic. Firstly, thanks for stopping by and reading this long essay 😉. Now unto the discussion before someone tells us to get a room lol. I completely agree with you that each relationship is unique and needs to be judged on it's own merit. It is easy to term Swamini's love for Viren as unhealthy and these judgements stem from one's own insecurities. Viren's mom (sorry don't know her name) seems to very secure and content with her relationship with her elder son so she has no reason to be judgmental and pass snide comments about Swamini's closeness to Viren.
I believe during the wedding pooja she gave Swamini all the right to perform the duties of a mother. Similarly my mom is very secure with her closeness and my relationship with her. She is overjoyed that I get motherly affection from my badi maa and she is very proud that I respect my badi maa very much. She once told me that my respect and love for badi maa validates her upbringing.
To sum it up, no one can take a mother's place in a kid's life but if there is another motherly figure in the family it only fosters the child to become a better human being with all the right values.
