Maan was all stressed hearing the story of Vinod. He could not believe what Vinod had to witness when he was so small yet not that small to forget everything….

Seeing his mother crying holding her daughter… His darjee snatching taking the child from a mother and handling it to Maan's dadima , His father all helpless trying to console his wife, pleading to Darjee and the giving up to something. And then next day his sister was gone never to come. Dadima was angry on all and then his mother's health decreasing everyday.. seeing his father everyday in guilt… Vinod had seen so many things since childhood and he had not even the inch of idea of these things. Not only him, he has kept his sisters also away from all this.

He was deep in thought when Geet entered..

"you just left me all alone to face everyone…. Do you have any idea, kaise kaise sawal puch rahe the sab mujhe… you know how embarrassed I was, per aapko kya…"

"hmmm" Maan said

Geet who was busy complaining till now turns towards Maan who is all lost, Its weird, he was in such a good mood in the morning.

She comes near him

"Maan is everything Ok…. You look tensed" Maan looks at Geet, he off course is tensed but he suddenly pulled Geet near him and wraps her tightly in his embrace. He doesn't know why but he is suddenly scared of loosing something…. He was all worried about Vinod but he himself doesn't know why he is feeling like holding Geet tight as something may happen to her… maybe hearing this all he needs some piece and that he is trying to find with her… he consoles himself.

Geet now gets really worried

"Maan is everything OK… suddenly why do you look so tensed to me"

"Geet sab theek hai" "Maan please tell me what the problem is….I can't see you like this"

"Thordee der bas unhee mere pass baitho na"

Geet just sat there with him without asking any question and Maan laid down there for long, his head placed on her lap.

Then he left from there. He went to see Dadima. Vinod was already there. He was confessing that he said everything to Maan. Dadima now knew everyone has their own restless ness so she wanted to leave everything to destiny and how Maan would react to the whole truth was her worry. She knew in case of Vinod he will never give Up.

And the same happen…

"Dadima it's enough… lots of hide and seek… I want to know the the whole truth… Bhai sab deserves to know whole truth… how can you ever do this to him…"

He gave her the real warning…. If she doesn't tell he will take Geet with him and she will never ever be able to find them… she will have to face the same pain as Vinod.

Dadima had at last no option.

"Then listen you both, but the strm that will come after this… Maan especially you…. You will have to face with it and deal with it."

Maan did not understand why was this warning for him but he accepted… he wantd to know the truth.

"When Vinod's 3^rd siter was born, everyone was very happy except his Daarji. It was consecutively a third girl. He was badly expecting a boy. One very strong reason he did not want was that Handa family gave good percentage of property to girl after their Marriage. Handa family had big fortune but then the amount with that percentage will also me huge. He was OK with two girls taking away the fortune of Handa to other house but now third. What will be left for Vinod and Handa… he was not liking it but could say nothing.

Everyone else was happy… the namkaran was immediately done… But every childs Kundeli was made by head priest of your family. The head priest was gone somewhere out and was supposed to be back after 6 months. They waited for 6 months but then the news came that he will come after more 6 months. Daarji wanted to get it done soon now. He badly believed in that.

So the son of head priest was called but this was the biggest mistake… he was just learning things but daarji was confident of him…

He made the slight mistake in the Kundali and and everything came out wrong . Pandit announced that this Girl may destroy the Handa family and especially the boy of this house. She was made for destruction in this family and should be sent far away. The pandit was very confident of his words. Daarji could take it no more. This girl would destroy the family and then Vinod's life was at stake…. He could not take this. He announced the girl would be sent faraway from their knowledge.

Your father was also shocked with this…. But he got into delima…. Whole family would be at destruction…. Daarji was forcing…. His wife no where listening to anyone… She did not want to give away her child for silly superstition. I tried to explain your Daarji so much… he was no where listening… your father in delima of family and one child at last with heavy heart went for family. I was very upset with him. Your mother could not control.

They got initials of your father and mother on her hand…. Six month old child… my heart cried….

So I took the girl…promising never to give her back to Handa family."

Both Vinod and Maan were completely shocked…. Not knowing how to react… it was heart wrenching.

"Then you know how your mother could not bear this Vinod and she did not live for long…. Your father was in guilt but he had taken the descision with Daarji… he was at fault, I have no mercy for him….

Then after anither six month the head peirst came and he rechecked the Kundali, you know what… he found the fault of his son….

'Yeh kya ker diya app logon ne…. the girl was shining star for family… with her you all thew away the happiness of this family '

He declared…. Your father could not take this all and he also left this world after struggling for year….

After that your Daarji also was no more and all responsibility of family came upon you.

How much I said to them not to believe in superstition.. see a silly thing destroyed the whole family happiness."

Both Vinod and Maan were speechless… silence prevailed in room for long.

Maan gathered after long "Bhai sahib ke kya galti hai… why is he to face all this"

"Why should that girl face all this… when ever you feel like, throw her out and when you feel guilt.. to remove it bring her back… what is the fault of that girl Maan"

Maan knew his dadima was completely right but he also knew that after knowing the truth Vinod will be more in guilt… he will kill himself within like his parents… he somehow wanted to stop this.

"We can talk to her… see what she thinks… maybe she want to be back home…" he said with heavy heart, knowing very well what he was saying was not fair, but he could not see Vinod this way.

"Why don't you do this work for yourself Maan, if you think what you are talking is right" His Dadima said.

Maan knew he was not right but seeing the broken Vinod in front of him… how could he let his bhai sahib in such pain of guilt.

"I will, who is she"

"Geet… tumharee Geet…" Dadima said. Maan felt like whole world was upside down for him…. His head started spinning… everything felt meaningless… It was a complete shock, a big RISHTON KA ULJHAN.
