DABH places a lot of emphasis on education. It is important and fundamental that every one receive education at least to graduation level. However, there are millions of people who are unable to get formal education or the opportunity to get professional education. That does not mean that they are not intelligent or lack brains or even lack skills. There has been a whole generation, almost all of our grand parents who did not go to college and amongst them women who were either illiterate or semi literate. But they were not uncouth, ill mannered or uncultured. They were skilled and very cultured. We are what we are today because of their values and vision.

They were also highly successful, visionaries and created great wealth. There are many examples of men and women who never went to college or did not complete their degrees but were highly successful- Bill Gates of Microsoft being one example, Steve Jobs of Apple, Raj Kapoor did not study beyond class 7 and neither has any one from his family ever completed school. Dhirubhai Ambani of Reliance was a school drop out and a petrol station attendant. Neither is his wife. Yet all of them were articulate, soft spoken, astute, clever and wise.

An example close to Bhabho's Rajasthan is the Birla group where until the present generation, no one had any formal education. But they had a strong Hindu beliefs and did much for the promotion of education, hinduism and charity.

Therefore, much as education is fundamental, necessary and important lack of it does not make a person uncouth, stupid and aggressive.

DABH is showing correctly that Sandhya does not hold anything against Suraj because he has not been to college. She respects and accepts him for his good values and character and his love for his family. So why have they portrayed Bhabho as complete harangue?

I don't watch this show so I trust you when you say this show seems to place value on education. If that is so please CVsmake the hubby realize his umbilical chord was cut at birth and not his back bone. He needs to stop being such a mamas boy! Or else sandhya needs to say "hell with you all" and become an IPS officer. Although if the show believed in education when her parents died why did she not pursue her studies, who says in this day and age the only solution for woman is marriage. That can be the solution if you do not want to study not if you want to study!
I think CVs you must make Sandhya an IPS officer and then she should file a case of mental harassment on santosh! Only if you show how hard life can be for santosh when she is jailed will people like her realize this in real life, that being a Ghar ki Lakshmi does not mean you have to be illiterate! why are you insulting the goddess Lakshmi by letting the character santosh use it! That is stupid CVs - please refrain from letting Santosh use the phrase "Ghar ki Lakshmi" "Ghar ki Lakshmi" ko toh humre ghar meh izzat karte hain - ghar se nikalte nahi
And Lastly please don't compare this "illiterate" character to Bill Gates or Steve Jobs, they are btw college drop outs which means first that they completed high school, and also one of them is a Harvard drop out so this guy is no where in the same league! Wow and comparing Birlas with this godsaken family - that is not fair at all! The first Birla will be turning in his grave! His values and what santosh values - as likely to be the same as North and south Pole meeting! the only thing they have in common is that they were from Rajasthan, but there ends the similarity!
