I'm actually too stunned to write anything,but here goes.
They had being standing on the razor's edge for a long time now-Sharon on the brink of an epiphanic realization,Swayam on the precipice of heartbreak.And yesterday,we saw them falling off the cliff,finally,after repeated resistance.Where they've fallen,its a dark crevasse,where they can't see anything,except,strangely,themselves.
Sharon Rai Prakash...the Diva,the Cultural Secretary,the most popular girl in college,the most desired,the most unattainable,the incorrigible brat-thats how everyone sees her,thats the image she's created for herself.
Simply...Sharon..an ordinary girl,a simple girl yearning for love,the most beautiful girl in the world,the girl with the most sensitive heart,the most amazing person in the world,a girl who makes mistakes,repents,a girl who is to be loved...not desired,but worshipped-Swayam's Sharon.Thats the way Swayam sees her.Thats the way Sharon had loved seeing herself,till then.
Had the girl with the most beautiful heart in the world debased herself so much,so as to allow a random guy to come close to her,only to prove to herself that she could do without Swayam?Had her ego taken her to such drastic levels,that she could allow herself to be defiled,only to get even with Swayam for not giving her the attention she so yearned for?The Diva mask never existed for Swayam...but yesterday,for the first time,Sharon saw it wearing off.She tried wiping off her tears,putting a bit of make up on,but all she could think of,was what she had just done.
Her ego would cause her disaster-he had told her.Yesterday,she realized he was right all along.
She looks at herself in the mirror...there is no Diva mask,there i no make up,there is not a vestige of the usual flair she has-yet,she doesn't feel like the girl with the most beautiful heart either.
The others would never bother-she would put on a bit of makeup,a dash of attitude,and voila-job done.
But should Swayam come to know,would he still love her as much?Because,as she now realized,her whole world has started revolving around him.
She had already lost a major part of him in the abandoned corridor-would she lose him completely,then?
For Swayam-he was trying his best not to give in.He ould not cry-he was Swayam.The pillar of strength for everyone,the shoulder for everyone to cry on.He comforted people,solved their problems-he could not cry.He WOULD not cry.
Yet,his mind reverted back to the moment he saw HIS Sharon close to another guy.How could she allow herself to do that?How could she allow another man to kiss her,to hold her so close?Did she not think of him,even once?Did his words,his tears,his pain,his earnestness not stop her?Did she not remember him even once?
No,he would not cry.The armour of steel must not wear off.
Again,something in him asks,was THIS all that he had invested his love,his life,and himself for?
The maelstorm of violent emotions chokes him,and he finally gives in to the pressure-it all tantamounts to a catharsis,and he cries,for what life had left him for.
I would like to applaud the use of only Sharon's voice when they both cried-it was not just Sharon's voice-it signified ONE voice-for,even though they do not understand it-they are one,their grief is one,he is her and she is him.
Thank you CVs-for not making it a 'villain trying to molest heroine'hero coming there and beating up villain-heroine dazzled by hero' scene,but handling it with so much maturity,so poignantly.
Shantanu and Sneha-I'm not going to even try to say anything,as whatever word i use would not be enough to express how brilliant they were.They were sheer brilliance-never before has a couple brought tears to my eyes.as these two have.👏
SwaRon-simply the best written love story i've ever seen on Indian Television.
