It was great! I went without any expectations, but the crowd reaction was amazing. My favourite shows were at Toronto, New York, Washington and Houston. I also got to meet with two best friends from school who are settled there and we went hiking and biking whenever we got a break. I love adventure sports and we had a great time doing all that.

Apparently you were insecure about Salman's popularity?

Rubbish! In fact, when I was offered the shows, my first reaction was that I need to go with a senior and when they said it was Salman, I was more than happy. Let me say this — I have never felt more secure in my life than on this tour. There was so much to learn by watching Salman.

Since you were just recovering from your accident, how did you perform?

Since I couldn't walk or dance, I had a special act designed with a chair and couch with songs from Zinda and Jism. Audience loved my act.

Did you and Salman fight over the choreographer's fees?

I am not a stingy person. It's unfair to single me out and say that I didn't want them to be paid. In fact, when such stories started Salman and I were sitting with the rest of the show members and calculating the money to be given to the dancers. We are all why I was made the fall guy. To single me out and say I had a fallout with Salman is unfair!

Did you get insecure because Salman was promoting Mallika over you?

I am not an insecure person. I don't need to be (smiles). I got an amazingly encouraging response from the audiences there.

Apparently Salman has walked out of a new film because it also stars you.

That's news to me. Salman and I became fond of each other during the trip. He was very helpful and guided me a lot throughout the tour. If he took charge, it was because he's a senior and I respect that fact. He's been on tours before and knows a lot more.

Have you tried talking to Salman ever since these rumours started?

No I haven't spoken to him, but I would love to and clear the air. I am sure he doesn't have any problem with me because there were never any problems. This news is shocking for me as we all had a nice time.

Normally, other shows have lots of backbiting and bitching going on, but for our show it never happened.

Now that you're back what do you plan to do?

The first thing that I am headed for, is a haircut at my hairstylist's for Babul. My hair has grown quite a bit.

Has your leg healed completely?

No, I am still in a lot of pain and limp a bit.

Have you cut down your biking after your accident?

I can never do that. I am never gonna stop riding bikes. I live to ride! Riding is probably my first love and I am not going to stop or cut down on that for anything or anybody in the world!
