@everyone, there was a warning given on the BU Thread 26th Dec, the warning was not given because of what Omana had said but because there was a newbie on that page using the BU Thread to attack and put snide comments on people's views on the EDT Thread about criticising Archana. The newbie was on page 4 of BU Thread December 26. I hope this clears out everything😊

A thread was opened about Purvi yesterday but I didn't think the Topic Opener used any harsh words against Archana, Purvi and Sulo and they were just trying to state their opinion on what Purvi did yesterday, I think the post was fine, I don't think anyone bashes Archana and Purvi, we just criticise them when they're wrong like they were yesterday. Purvi shouldn't have wrote a threatening fax message to Manav to go on strike and she was wrong to expose Mr. Malik on mic. and she was only one responsible for what happened to Punni, as she exposed her in the worst way possible, she should have told this to Archana or Sulochana but she wanted to expose Punni in front of the family, it must have been embarrassing for Punni and Purvi has also ruined Ruchi's reputation too. Why are members accused and bullied for having their own opinion about Archana?

I also don't agree the names for Purvi and Archana are offensive, as they are talking about a fictional character and not a member. I had predicted that Archana would teach Purvi tricks on how to get Arjun under her thumb as that's what Archana did to Manav before, Manav went against mother for Archana and Sulo. I think Purvi will do the same to Arjun.

I hope I didn't offend anyone by saying my opinion, I'm sorry if I did.

Kool Di, fab post👏 Agree with you 10000%. The name calling of Savita isn't nice either like Mother India, queen Savita etc. I think calling Archana and Sulo "Do Chanas" and Manav as "ULM" and Queen Bee Sulo is ok, as we are just describing a fictional character, not a member

i dont think archana ever kept manav under her thumb... i wish she would have done dat... she wouldnt be lonely ... she never came between manav and his mom... she could have easily seprated dem by telling him about her mother's deed... but she never did dat

And they had many many Archu fans as friends from before ...That too Is understandable . What I cannot understand is the Coldness towards me when I did not say ANYTHING personal to them , ever . Suddenly all of them stopped interacting with me . One or two even came on EDT thread in issues not involving them at all to pick a fight .

Please do not take offense at last para . It was just an emotional reminiscing . I still support Manav but Sushant is not playing Manav anymore .

Kools, I will answer this part cos I somewhere feel I am one amongst those addressed. (Sushant fan, Manav fan, your friend, never called you Di)

Trust me when I say that you supporting Hiten as Manav has nothing to do with the whole thing. At least not from my side and not from the side of others I know. Having interacted with them, I know many of them are Hiten fans as well. If you notice, many of the Manav fans had gone away even before Sushant left the show. The Soham gifting track ticked everyone off. I had come on EDT and told that Manav is dead for me, I do not recoginse him. Even before that I hardly came to discuss the show, except when it was about cute little Soham. Most of the people had got fed up with PR anyway. They wanted Sushant to quit the show.

But yes, there have been various instances when I (and some others I know) felt that it is not possible to have a genuine discussion anymore in this forum. The reason- the whole 'fan' consideration. Multiple times I have felt that if you express an opinion, people analyse it as a fan speaking. When we said we find it difficult to accept replacements, we are accused of cribbing and again and again said that one should watch the show for the characters only. When I asked Varsha Di once, with due respect, to please refrain from making statements which could be interpreted as comparisons between actors or Sushant-Manav and Hiten-Manav (even if she had not intended to mean it that way) saying it was not fair to BOTH( and even led to a fight later in the forum on the same issue) I was asked not to nitpick and told fans should not read into these things too much. Resham came and gave a warning for the same, when I had only tried to voice it out and end this matter, since I believe discussion clears issues, and since I anyway felt you are all friends and one could be this frank. I did not feel comfortable stepping into the thread again. This is just one example. Similar things happened with friends of mine. Multiple times people get the vibe that we fans are not wanted anymore in the forum. The frequent references of 'go to Sushant FC if you miss him' worsen the situation. Can we not stay in the forum please?

(Still I ventured into your thread sometimes, sometimes with stupid songs, or jokes. But that is a different matter.)

Today this forum is not the same as earlier. And I say this with respect to one thing--- opinions. Earlier, Manav fans, Archu fans, non fans, everyone gave opinions. We debated all day long, discussed, there was an exchange of ideas even when we did not agree. Yes I was a Manav fan, and Tanya Di was an Archu fan, but when we debated, we never made statements saying you are fan of this person so obviously you will be biased. The bias thing was never brought in conversations at all.

This thing is there in the forum now.

A few days back, when Prasad posted something which others did not like, and opposed it, it was said that Archana fans oppose any such thread in any way to get it closed and find societal issues only in threads pertaining to Archana. The truth is- there were few Archana fans at that time. There were many Manav fans who too did not like the views and had opposed them, but their opinions were not held as just that- opinions. The whole bias thing was dragged in.

Later, when Bonne questioned it (again not an Archana fan) and Jia tried to speak about it in EDT too, no one responded back properly regarding the whole issue in the first place. (Here I blame the mods for ineffective handling and not getting to the root of the matter). Rather again, the fans and non fans thing was brought up. Jia was blatantly ignored inspite of being respectful and taunts were made at her.

Today, I feel even I watch the show, I would not want to discuss in the forum anymore. Reason? If I criticize Archana, people will say 'Oh this is bcos she's a Manav fan.' If I criticize Manav, people will say, 'Oh yes, this is bcos Sushant is no longer playing the part.' (I'm not joking here, this did happen to Poppy when she commented something on the show.) It's not just EDT, but the forum as a whole. Many Manav fans, Sushant fans have gone away.

The forum no longer has an atmosphere condusive to discussion is what I feel. You want to praise Hiten, go on, no one here is petty enough to pick on you bcos of that. At least I'm not. I agreed with part of Lunza, Jia, Nisha's posts and hence supported them. I agree with some parts of your post too, I will not hesitate to say that.

The entire thread has been taken as a ground to fight the lost battles i feel, people all these grievances should have been addressed under the grievance thread, we have made tht one right, this thread shd have been remained as the rules post only.

wow...this was so not the point of this post...as they say everything is 20/20 in hindsight...i will admit my fault in the way this thread was worded...giving only one example definitely gives off a vibe that i didnt intend to give at all...it was generalization and i was using the freshest thing that was on my mind since i was dealing with it yesterday itself...im not supporting any particular group (though i think most of you dont believe that)...however, i apologize if any one group felt attacked or if members felt attacked because that was the opposite of the purpose of this thread...
