| But that's not all. Shruti will soon be seen in a Pakistani sitcom called 'Rang Birangi', shot in Dubai. She plays Priya – a spoilt, rich, Indian brat. About her role, Shruti reveals, "A close reference would be Jennifer Aniston's role of Rachel from 'Friends'. Priya comes to Dubai because her London-based billionaire father wants her to learn how to survive in the big bad world on her own. Funnily enough, Priya has enough credit cards to buy a country!" With this role, she hopes to change her image of the bubbly girl-next-door. "Other than the fact that I'm shooting in Dubai, it's a great experience working with an international team. Moreover, I've never played a 'Priya' before – she's very clueless but endearing," informs Shruti. About the kind of roles she wants, Shruti says, "I don't want to hang around in a frame. I'm open to doing anything that adds value. I'd love to do action-based roles and even comedy." Having worked with Kunal Kohli in her debut film, she hopes to work with directors such as Sudhir Mishra and Nagesh Kukunoor in the future Single, with no boyfriend in sight, Shruti definitely doesn't have marriage on the cards anytime soon. And having discovered the benefits of yoga, she's never felt better. As she puts it, "Yoga is the best gift I've given myself; it's altered my life. I feel so calm and relaxed. In fact I've never felt better!" |
