MONA'S BACK TO FICTION

Actress Mona Singh, who catapulted to fame with her plain Jane act in Jassi Jaisi koi Nahin, opted to stay away from daily soaps and went on to do a spate of reality shows. Singh has hosted many shows including Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega.
However, she was conspicuous by her absence in the fiction rung. But breaking away from the norm, the actress is back to fiction with Sony Entertainment Television's latest show Bas Itnii Si Baat to be produced by Ekta Kapoor. After the successful show Bade Achhe Laggte Hain that showcases the theme of long lasting love in arranged marriages, Kapoor has shifted gear to focus on the lives of married couples who have no time for love in their humdrum lives. Aptly titled Bas Itnii Si Baat, the show revolves around the lives of the lead couple — Mona Singh and Pavan Shankar — who are married for more than a decade. They are occupied with numerous responsibilities, children and the home. Where is the time left to pay attention to each other? Mona's character will be that of a dutiful mother and a perfect wife.
