Generally the ways to get TRPs in the higher bracket is to tighten the screenplay and to make is as logical as possible...to give dialogues that make sense and to maintain the characterisation of the various characters as much as possible..Variations will be there but that does not mean that characters start pingponging...the dialogues start not making any sense for majority of the time and the screenplay goes topsy turvey. The leads (here RaDev) also should be there in the screenplay and the story should revolve around them...they might not be there together but parallel tracks should be maintained. All the top shows have all these properties. Most of the shows show crap some time or the other but people still watch them because of the way the shows are written, enacted, packaged and marketed. If there is a slip in any of the departments then the show also starts slipping. Here in the case of CB acting by mostly everyone have been very good but the other departments have to pull their socks up. Also people do get tired of too much evil things happening in a show...People are usually watching a show for entertainment (I am not talking of hard core fans but general public), but if a show continues giving them headache they will switch off.
