It was some thing maan could not decide….. he had still kept geet's letter with him… her last letter…. And that photo in his table……again he was reading the same letter for the unempth time….. this was the only thing that had kept him close to her during this three years of their separation….. he had become a rude… arrogant and a harsh woman hater from a sweet charming and ever smiling Casanova…… he hated the very existence of woman…. And every one thought it was because of geet….. because she had left maan and his company on the day of his engagement…… all just knew that one week prior his marriage he had called off his marriage and now he had become totally addicted to alcohol but hated woman very much…. And all secretly wished that geet should return back….he knew about the rumors being apread but he said nothing because it was the truth….. he had changed because of geet….. after she left he reallised that he loved geet and that geet too loved him…. He was angry because he could not stop her….. as he read the letter she kissed it lightly and then procedded to do his meting….

EMPTINESS...

It was almost three hours hetic meeting ….. had geet been there it had been done in 30 minutes… his company was not going so well…… it was after her that he cameto realize how much work she used to handel and he was missing her terribly and he was not able to handle it so efficiently….. with these thought he went inside his cabin only to find someone sitting on his chair and was facing its back…..

who the hell are you???? how did you come here????how dare you sit in my chair?????

Getting no response from it he called the security when he heard a female voice….

Planning to throw me out of my own company mr.khurana??????

And the chair turned to reveal a smiling woman sitting there wearing a green colored salwar

Geet asked as she went through the files sitting in the MD'S chair and drinking tea with maan sitting In front of her in other chair and eating biscuits with coffee…. Just as they used to do…..

When he first saw her smiling….. he could not believe his eyes and walked to poke her because he often dreamt of her sitting her there and saying the same words…. But when she just laughed to his poking he hugged her really tight….. and then bombareded her with many question as to where she had gone etc… etc….. to which she said that she would answer him in the right time….

Maan – toh kya phir se join kar rahi hai??????

Geet – haan ji…. Agar MD ka permission ho toh…..

Maan - of course mian abhi tere papers ready karwa deta hoon…..

Geet – great….. suna hai tu angry young man….. the casanova turned Casanova ban gaya hai…..

Maan – haan yaar ab ladkiyon pe intrst nahin raha….

Geet – achi baat hai…. mian kal officially join karungi…. Aaj thoh office ka time khatam ho gaya hai…. thoh ab ghar chalein…..

Maan – oye yaar tu rehti kahan pe hai????

Geet – mera ek apartment hai…. bhul gaya kya????

Maan – ok… tu chal main baad main jaunga…..

Geet – mujhe pata hai tu abhi club bhagjayega….. tu seedhe seedhe ghar chal raha hai…..

Maan – tu ja….. ian ghar chala jaunga …pakka….

It was almost 11 pm when they heard a familiar voice in the khurana mansion…. which they hadnt heard since many years...

Kaka… kaka……

This voice raised all the inmates of the mansion and they were surprised to see a heavily drunk maan being held by geet who was pushing her inside the mansion….. kaka was happy to see geet and knew that every thing will come to normal now….

Kaka…. Help karo….. is mote ko uske kamre tak le jane mian help karo…… saala kitna khata hai tu…. She asked punching maan's stomach lightly…… kaka helped geet and they both took maan up to his room and all the while he was blabbering un relevant things….. but kaka stopped outside his room….

Geet – kaka… ruk kyun gaye???

Kaka – tu inhe rakh do beti… mian yahan hoon…..

Geet dragged him inside his room and kept him on his bed… took out his shoes and then covered him with the duvet…… closed his room door and then came out to see the whole khurana family standing to whom she royally ignored and hugged kaka….

Kaka – kab aayi wapas?????

Geet – kuch hin dino ke liye aayi hoon kaka….. paanch che din pehle aaayi hoon…. Dikh raha hai ki mere absence ain kafi kuch badal gaya hai…..

Kaka – toh itne dino tak aayi kyun nahin???

Geet – kasam khae thin aw kaka… ki is ghar mian kabhi nahin aaungi… whoh toh aaj bar se phone aaya… warna aaj bhi nahin aati..

Kaka – han beta…. Maan sahib aab ghar raat ko 4 se pehle nahin lautte….. pure pike laut te hain…..

Geet – hmm…. fikar na karo kaka…. Yaha nse jane se pehle us gadhe ko sahi raste pe lake jaungi…… fine kaka abhi chalti hoon…. Bahut raat ho gayi hai…. subah 7 baje meeting hai…. is gadhe ko leke bhi jana hai…. toh main subah ko aungi…. Good night kaka….

It was morning 6:15 that geet came into the mansion wearing a while coloured salwar with her tied in a plait…. Kaka opened the door and she wasn't surprised to see kaka up so early because he knew her schedule and was neither surprised to see dadi and mrs.khurana sitting in the living room … she had predicted them to be up as they had clearly heard her conversation … but wasnt it two days ago????? frusturating family...

Good morning kaka… she greeted him as she hugged him tightly…

Kaka – morning beta…. Tumhari fav. Chai is ready ….

Geet – thanks kaka…. Jab tak main us mote ko jagake aati hoon… tab tak can you please make any thing to eat…. I am very hungry…. She said smiling

Kaka – sure bte… par maan sahib chilaenge aap pe….

Geet – kaka .. first I am always tum or tujh for you not aap…. So stop calling me that and I know how to tackle a spoilt brat khurana…..

She said as she started to go up to his room…. Kaka… bread pokoda milega??? She turned to ask….

Surely beta…. Kaka smiled and went to make it for her….

She entered his room but felt nothing as she thought she would have felt but all she felt was an emptiness.. a hollowness… and nothing else….

Maan… maan … uth…. Oye… uth…. She said as she called maan but he did not respond and this was also expected owing to the heavy drinking he had last night….

Finding no other option she came with a bucket of water and threw it on him….

WHO THE BLOODY HELL…..

He shouted and got up full angry only to see geet standing near his laptop and looking at him smiling… as he looked at her from up to down she looked like a angel…. Looking at her early in the morning ….could the day go any better than this????

Your friend….. she calmly replied….

Maan – huh????

Geet – tune poocha naw who the blody hell…. So I answered I am your friend….

Maan – tu yahan itni jaldi kya kar rahi hai???

Geet – its already 6:20 and we have a meeting at 7 toh tujhe lene aayi hoon…

Maan – toh paani kyun dala?? Utha bhi toh sakti thi?

Geet – I had tried dear….. but as you were sleeping like a gadha so I had no other option other than to put water on you face…

Maan – huh….

Geet – ab chal ready hoja…. Mian tera neeche wait kar rahi hoon…. 15 minutes….

And grudjly came out of his bed and walked to wards his washroom ….

Wah kaka…. Aapke haaton main abhi bhi wahi jaado hai…. kya pakode hian….

Geet said as ate the bread pokoda and tea sitting in the dinning table while kaka was standing beside her… by this time the whole khurana family had gathered there… they had heard maan shouting but did not hear anything after that and then saw geet coming down totally exoressionless and without looking at the khuranas she sat in their dinning table and was busy in her mobile fixing the meeting and necersaary pther things…. And now she was sitting and eating without even looking at them….it was frusturating!!!!!!

And then to their surprise they saw maan coming down totally ready and sat in the dinning table after wishing them….

Geet – toh mr.khurana aap aa gaye???

Maan – tu mere se baat mat kar…. Nakul breakfast de….

Geet – yeh kya tarika hai kaka se baat karne ka????

Maan – miane kya kiya?????

Geet – do you think I have not seen any thing????

Maan – tu kuch nahin janti 3 saal main kya kya hua…… tu thi hin kahan????

Geet – tujhe sach main lagta hai ki mian kuch nahin janti???? She asked challenging him….

He knew it was not a good idea to challenge geet because she never lost one….

Maan – you did not even ask me…. It has been near to a week…..

Geet – kaka… aur ek pokoda milega …. She asked kaka. And he went to get it and she leaned towards him and said …. To know about you I don't have to ask you….

I was always with you maan… but you could not recognize me… and that's not my problem…..

Maan – I have changed geet…. He said dejectedly…. And I so miss the old days….

Geet – but I have not…. Neither I miss the old days…… because I cherish them….

And just then kaka came there… but maan was too stunned to realize what had happened….

Geet – any ways maan … main kaka ko le ja rahin hoon… you have many servants lined up here and I see you don't need him so I am taking him with me….

She said seriously and maan knew that she wasn't joking…..

Maan – kyun???? Tum nakul ko nahin le ja sakti….

Geet – miane kab kaha ki main nakul ko le ja rahi hoon… main toh kaka ko le ja rahi hoon…..

Chal ab time ho raha hai.. meeting khatam karne ke baad…. I have furnitures sifting to my house…. Uske liye bhi jana hai….

Maan – tu yahan kyun nahin rehti …. Pehle ki tarah???? Tera karma khali hai aab tak…..

He said … he wanted to keep her near him at any cost…..

Geet – sorry…. tu bhul raha hai… pehle bhi main yahan kabhi nahin rehti thi… only when it was quiet late…. Aur waise bhi pehle yeh mera dost ka ghar tha… but now you have changed and now you are just MD of KC…aur ek MD ke ghar mian rehna is not good….

Chal we are getting late….

She said as she got up from the table and went outside munching ….leaving maan all thoughtfull….

It had been 15 days since geet had returned and KC has seen un believable changes…..

All the unefficient employes had been thrown out and new ones replaces…. Old machines were replaced by new ones… new rules…. New tricks… new ways….

All the deals were cracked and the company had made much improvement from the losses it has faced since the three years…..

Among all the improvement there were things that instead of improvement they had gone worse or maan realized just then….

Although geet was still cheerful , and hard – working outside but…. But… but….

She no longer the same flirt she used to be…. Though she still flirts but ………

She no longer smiles…. Though she still smiles but…..

She is no longer close to him….. though she still knows every thing about him but……

She still works with him day and night but……..

She still enters the KM gate but……

This what was killing him… there was a but to every thing….

But one thing was sure that in her every action… every step.. and every thing she did…

There was an emptiness…..

She said as she tried to pry off his hand as it had always been since 15 days…. But his hold tightened….

Pehle there was no awkwardness between us…. We were close weren't we????

But now… every time I touch you… you walk few steps back as if my touch repels you…

Every time I take one step close to you… you walk away turning your back….

Whenever I ask some thing you just ignore it…..

You come to home but still you never step inside the mansion….

And then maan knew that it was more than any physical tireness…..

It was 6:30 pm and geet had not yet arrived….. all the guest had arrived only the MD of the company had not yet arrived…. His whole family had also arrived….. all were waiting for geet to show up…. She was important because every thing was done by geet… but the woman in question was no where to be seen…

Suddenly some one iinformed them that MD is coming…

Maan – now this is the height…. Where is she till now??????

And then the MD entered with geet by his side and they were laughing and smiling….. maan was tunned to see them both…

MD – oh.. mr.khurana… you look handsome… but not more than the beautifull lady standing beside me…

Geet – shut up rahul… you have said it thousands of time…. I broke my car in the middle of no where and he gave e lift …

But maan was left dtaring at her….. she was looking beautiful with a red coloured saree….

Maan – you are looking beautifull….

Geet – thanks maan…. Well excuse me… I have to see the last minute changes…

It was almost 7:45 and the party was going well…. Geet and maan were standing with the khuranas … they were worried seeing the distance between them….. they wanted their son to be happy and he was happy with geet … but geet was maintain a very strict distance from maan….

As they wer just formally talking geet suddenly received a call…. Her face seemed to be happy after many days…..

Geet – haan nani….

Dono saitan ache hain naw????

Kya???? (she looked worried….)

Nahin nani… aap sab packing karo main aa rahi hoon wahan….

Maan – every thing all right????

Geet – no .. I have to leave for shimla now…

Geet – Krishna aura man ki tabiyat kharab hai and I have to go…. She said as she walked out but maan held her hand…

Geet – mere bache hain maan…. They are my twins….

Maan – kya??? Tere bache??? Par teri saadi…. All were stunned to hear that

Geet - *sighed* bola toh tha ki main meri saadi ke liye ja rahi hoon….. and these are my twins….

Maan – tune kabhi kaha nahin geet….. he turned angry…..

Geet – kal hin kaha than aw ki ek week main bata doongi…. And the truth is maan… I am married and I have a twin of 7 months……

Maan – you cant go unless you tell me every thing….

Geet I will… but first I have to go….

Saying this she ran off….

And then suddenly every thing became clear…. She maintained distance because she was married and had a twin…….

Jo bhi ho jaye… if they are geet;s children then I am ready to accept them also… but I want geet and I will get her….. thanks kaka…..
