Kinjal feared what happened a while back. If GMC was going to sue her, she would be completely ruined. Not only she would not have enough money to compensate them, she would also lose face in the modeling industry as no one would want to work with her again. Sure she would be in the spot light, but this negative publicity was going to harm he whole miniscule career. She knew she had no choice but to seek hep from the Modis on this one. She decided to talk to Jigar as she knew that Ahem would just leave saying she should handle her own mess. She gave Jigar a twisted side of her story somehow portraying herself as the victim. Jigar reassurred her that he would look into the matter to get it defused.
Modi Shareholders' End of year Meeting:
Ahem was anxiously waiting to meet the CEO of GMC, however he was slightly disappointed to know that instead if would be the CFO of GMC, Mr. Sumit DeJesus attending the meeting with the CEO being available on conference call.
The meeting had long fairly well, and everyone was pleased with the outcomes, and on what needed to be looked at in the next year. At the end of the meeting, the Modis delayed Mr.DeJesus, as they wanted to reassure themselves with their largest non-Modi shareholder. Sumit DeJesus heard their concerns and reassured Chirag and Ahem that GMC has seen that there is potential in Modi Limited, and that it just wants to channel the potential in the right direction which would benefit the Modis and GMC as well. Jigar softly and yet a little hesitantly asked if he could request something from GMC. Both Chirag and Ahem started to look at him wondering what he wanted as this was something that they seemed not aware of. Jigar politely and softly explained Sumit the Kinjal situation and requested them to rethink. Sumit grinned at the thought, as he too had heard the fiasco, and coolly told the Modis, "If this had not happened in front of Ms. Modiana then I would have found a way to dismiss. However, since she was the one to say then tell me how can I override my boss?" Seeing that Jigar looked very upset and helpless, Sumit suggested, "However, I can call her if you want and you can speak to her directly regarding this matter", and dialed Gia Modiana, and handed the phone over to Jigar.
Ahem was looking furiously at Jigar, as he hated to drag his most important shareholder into controversy, and that too because of his bratty sister Kinjal who created the mess. He did not want his business to suffer for her foolishness. After Jigar finished, the call he looked somewhat relieved, but he was still a little stressed. Sumit asked him how the call went, and Jigar narrated to everyone how Ms.Modiana asked that Kinjal make a officla aopology in written and in public to the GMC employee in the presence of the Modis and the GMC staff that was present at the time she had done the verbal abuse. If she could do that, then GMC would not file any lawsuit against her.
Sumit contended that was rather generous of Gia as she really treats her staff with respect. For her it doesn't matter whether she's talking to to say even the janitor, she will do so with respect. The fact that she gives respect, she also receives the same respect and affection abck from her staff. Chirag piped in, "She definately has good values which these days are rare to be seen a successful person". Sumit added, "Yes, and that at such an early age. She is probably one of the most humble people you will meet."
While they were all discussing Gia, Ahem had resolved that he would personally ensure Kinjal does the public and written apology, as he could not let her ego and foolishness hamper his company and that too with their largest non-family shareholder.
