| TV actor Samir Soni has done a disappearing act from the television scenario since the past six months. The actor was last seen in Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin. He walked out of the serial four times and then came back, each time with an assurance of a great role ahead. However, the great role never happened and finally he walked out for good. The actor has just returned to Mumbai from Delhi after shooting for Sooraj Barjatya's Vivaah starring Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao. "It's not that I am not taking up television assignments, but nothing interesting came up. Then I was off for a film shoot and that kept me occupied. I am definitely not saying good-bye to television." Speaking about his role in Vivaah, the actor says, "I play Shahid's elder brother in the film, and Anupam Kher plays my father. Shahid is a very sweet person, full of enthusiasm. It was fun working with him and Amrita." The actor added that, after his role in Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin, he also did a cameo for Star Plus's Kumkum — Pyara Sa Bandhan. Samir adds that, within a few days he might also be signing a new film. "But it's too early for me to disclose any details," he adds. |
