Geet opened her eyes while tears staining her cheeks!!! She said crying bitterly "What haven't I done for you ??!! I gave you everything!! I trusted you more than anybody!! Bhagwaan se zyada aap par bharosa kiya!! Wo pal, jo mere liye bhagwan ki puja se bhi zyada paak aur pavitra tha, aap ne wo pal ko ek bhayaanak shraap bana kar chhod diya!!! Jis pal ko soch kar kabhi mere dil mein khushi aur aankhon mein pyaar uttar aata tha, aaj ussi pal ko soch kar mere dil mein nafrat aur aankhon mein dard uttar aata hai!!! Why did you do this to me Maan??!!"

She closed her eyes in pain and another image came in front of her eyes... image that was way more sinister... image that broked her every single dream into pieces... image that filled her with remorse towards Maan...

She is so happy!!! It felt like every happiness of the world is at her feet today!!!! The most beautiful feeling of the world...that she has heard people talk about but has never experienced before!!!!

She remembers doctor's words to her just half an hour ago... words that changed everything for her...in a best way possible!!! She smiles to herself as doctor's words echoed in her ears...

'You are pregnant!!'

Her hand instinctively went on her tummy!!!

Her baby!!! Maan's baby!!!! Their baby!!!!!

She didn't cared that they weren't married yet (which they were getting married next month)... She didn't cared what her parents would say... She didn't cared what everybody would say... All she cared about was that she has a part of Maan inside her!!

A vision of a tiny little baby with the same features of Maan's in her arms flashed in front of her eyes...and a more prominent beautiful smile decorated her face...

And she realised how necessary all of a sudden the fulfilment of this vision has become for her!! She wanted this child, Maan's child, just like the air to breathe!!! Not a choice—but a necessity!!! It was funny how his child has become such an important part of her all of a sudden!!! Before it was just Maan that she couldn't live without, but now there's two people that she cant live without!!!

Tears of happiness rolled down her cheeks as she headed towards her Maan, her life, their child's father...

She imagined how he would react when she'll tell him this news... She imagined him screaming in joy to the whole world that he's gonna be a papa... She imagined him taking care of her and his love for the baby growing with each passing day in her remaining 8 months pregnancy... She imagined how he will hold her hand and console her while she'll give birth to their baby... She imagined how tears of happiness will escape his eyes as they'll take their baby for the first time in their hands... She imagined how he will take care of the baby as he will grow up... (Yes she already wanted a boy—a boy who will be just like his father... in looks as well as attitude!!)... She imagined how he will spoil their baby inspite of her screamings and shoutings as he will grow up... She imagined how their baby will grow up just like his father... She even thought the name for him.. Armaan Singh Khurana!! Their Armaan!!!

She reached his home and asked the servants about his whereabouts, and they told her that he is in the study but is in a very bad mood!!!

Geet smiled as she knew that she has a permanent solution to turn his frown upside down for forever!!!

She went to his study while taking her every step with extra care now!!!

As she entered his study, she stopped in her steps as she saw everything scattered on the floor... It looked like a tornado has come in his study leaving everything upside down!!!

Her eyes searched for him and she saw him standing near the table with his hands resting on the empty table and his back towards her... She could tell that he is the cause of all this mess in the study without even looking at his face... She could tell from his posture that he is in immense anger and pain and has just broken down after getting helpless of ruining everything around him!!!!!

Suddenly she felt a pang in her heart for his pain!! She cant see him broken like this!!! She could tell that something big has happened... something that was out of his tolerance level!!!

She whispered with pain in her voice "Maan!!"

Maan looked back at her and his expressions made her take a step back in fear unknowingly...

His expressions were hard as a stone while his eyes were cold and distant with hatred and anger!!! She didn't know if she even know this man at all!! She has never seen him with so much hatred in his eyes and she could tell that it was pointed towards her!!!

In the next instant, she found herself being pulled into a jerk and got cornered against the wall... She gasped at the sudden movement and her hand instinctively went on her tummy...

She looked at him shocked not understanding the reason for this outburst and said "Maan?!"

He said angrily gritting his teeth "Kiyun Geet?? Aakhir tumne aisa kiyun kiya???!!! Kiyun??!!"

Geet frowns in confusion and said "Aisa bhi kya kiya hai maine Maan, jo aap mujhse aise baat kar rahe hain??"

He clenched his jaw in anger and said sarcastically "You didn't do anything huh??!! So sleeping with my brother behind my back is nothing for you!!??"

"MAAN!!!" she yelled angrily while picking up her hand to slap him on his face but he holds her hand in mid air!!!

Geet felt like he has slapped her on her face with his words!!!

How could he say such a cheap thing to her!!!??? How dare he accuse her of such a low-act??!!!

He clenched his teeth in anger and left her with a jerk!!!

She thought to walk away from him right now and never see his face in her life again!! If he don't even trust her, then what's the base of their relationship??!!!

But as the thought crossed her mind, a sharp pain crossed her heart with the mere thought of never seeing him again!! Her love for him was made her weak!!! Her love for him was so immense, that she couldn't even think of staying away from him!!! He is like air for her...she cant breathe without him!!! She didn't know when he became a necessity for her... necessary than even her self-respect... but it felt like she can't exist without him!!!!

And now there's another reason that has joined their lives together... Their baby!!!!

Her priorities have changed now!!! She is thinking about their baby's needs before her own now!! And their baby needs his father... as much as he needs his mother!!!

So leaving Maan was out of question, even when he insulted her and questioned her character!!! So the only option in front of her was to forgive him for those words... because she somewhere knew that this was not how her Maan was!!! He must be having some misunderstanding, otherwise she knew he would never hurt her with his words like this!!

So she decided to clear his misunderstanding!!

She said trying to pacify him "Maan, aapko zaroor koi misunderstanding hui hai!! There is nothing between me and Dev!! Dev is just my friend!!! I just love you!!! Please trust me Maan!!!"

He glared at her angrily and held her arm with a jerk!!! He dragged her harshly towards the table with him and her hand instinctively went on her tummy with his harsh pull...

He left her arm near the table and picked up some pictures from the ground and said angrily "Misunderstanding?? Mujhe misunderstanding hui hai Geet??!! To ab tum ye kahogi ke ye tasveerein bhi jhooti hain!! Hai na??" he threw the pictures on her face...

Geet picked up the pictures from the ground and her eyes widened in shock as she looked at them...

The pictures were of her and Dev, but they were not real!!! They were very vulgar but they were made with trick photography!!!

She was still looking at the pictures confused by who could do such a thing??!!! She could understand Maan's anger now, but at the same time she wished that he trusted her instead of some fake photographs!!!

He said angrily "Bolo Geet! Jawab do!!" He said sarcastically "Keh do ke ye tasveerein jhooti hai!! Keh do ke tumhare aur Dev ke beech mein kuch nahi hai!!" he slammed his fist on the wall in anger and frustration!!!

She said mechanically "Haan ye tasveerein jhooti hain!! Mere aur Dev ke beech mein aisa kuch nahi hai!!!"

He said angrily "Mere chehre par bevakoof likha hai kya Geet??!! What do you think? That you can fool me this easily Geet??!!"

Geet tries to pacify him "Please trust me Maan!! Maine aapke ilaava kabhi kisi ki taraf aankh utha kar bhi nahi dekha!! Please mera yakeen kijiye Maan!! I love you!!! Ye tasveerein jhooti hain Maan!!! Please trust me!!!!" she begged him.

He said sarcastically "Trust??!! Trust aur vishvaas jaise shabd tumhare muh se achhe nahi lagte Geet!! Mujhe to sharam aati hai, ke maine tum jaisi ladki se pyaar kiya!!! Lekin aaj ke baad mujhe apni shakal bhi mat dikhana kabhi!! Samjhi tum!!" he said with hatred and turns to leave when Geet holds his hand and said while tears flowing from her eyes "Please Maan!! Please mera vishvaas kijiye!! Main sach bol rahi hoon!!! Mere aur Dev ke beech mein aisa kuch nahi hai!!! Please mujhe chhod ke mat jaayiye!! Mujhe aapki zaroorat hai... I'm pregnant!!!!" she said in the hope of cooling down his anger when he'll know about their child.

Maan looks back at her shocked "What???!!!!!!"

Geet thought that he is cooling down with this news...(who wouldn't??!!)

She looks down shying and said with a shy smile "Yes Maan! I'm pregnant!!! Hamara bachcha!!!" she puts his hand on her tummy without looking at him...

She heard him say angrily "To ab tum kisi aur ke paap ko mera naam dena chahti ho??!!!"

Geet looked at him shocked!!! She became numb with shock!!! Her hands loosens from his hand that was still on her tummy and he took his hand away!!!

In that moment, everything finished!!! Love, life, meaning... everything!!! He not only insulted her love, he not only broke her dreams, but he also insulted her child!!!

Yes, in an instant, he became her child from their child!!!!

Maan walks out angrily leaving Geet still standing there in shock!!!

She still couldn't believe what just happened!!!

She didn't know when she walked out of his study mechanically!!! She walked out of his house while still numb with shock!!! She didn't hear when his Dadima called her from behind...

It was like physically she was walking, but internally she was dying!!!

She wasn't crying anymore... Her tears had given up on her!!!

She reached outside and just walked towards nowhere without any sense of direction...

She was just blank!!!

Physically, she had reached outside, but mentally she was still standing in his study where he was still insulting her, her character, her child...

All the moments that she has spent with him... moments which she has held in her hands so gently and caressed them with love and care... flashed in front of her eyes!!!

She still cant believe that he was the same Maan who would've fought with the whole world if someone even pointed a finger at her!!! That same Maan was himself pointing finger at her love, her loyalty, her child's existence!!!

Maan who always stood like a wall between her and any sorrow that tried to touch her, today himself gave her so much pain that her life is looking like a burden to her!!!

Maan who was not just a part of her life but her life in whole, today has just walked out of her life after accusing her of infidelity!!! Infidelity – the word which never had any place to exist between their relationship, is standing and mocking between them today like a wall!!!

Maan who once trusted her more than his life, today broked her trust just because of some fake photographs!!!

Maan who showed her dreams of their future together, today left her after breaking every single dream of hers!!!

She has given everything to him that she had!!!!

What does he think?? That just because she had given herself completely to him before marriage, that she is of loose character??!! Just because she slept with him, he concluded that she sleeps with every other guy!!! So this was what he wanted from her...her body!!! And now that she has given herself to him, he doesn't want to marry her!!! That promise of marriage was just a trap to sleep with her!!!

She felt disgusted with this new conclusion that she came on!!!!

She said with determination "I've never seen a disgusting man than you Maan Singh Khurana!!! You are using accusations on my character as an excuse for leaving me??!! Because you got what you wanted!!! So that you don't have to accept this child!!!" she touches her tummy "But don't worry Mr. Maan Singh Khurana!! Main itni kamzor nahi, ke mujhe apne bachche ke liye tum jaise ghatiya insaan ki zaroorat pare!!! Main apne bachche ko is duniya mein zaroor laaoongi, aur wo bhi tumhaare naam ke bagair!!!"

She turned to leave with determination, when a pair of headlights blinded her vision and everything went dark...

Geet opened her eyes slowly and saw herself in an unfamiliar surrounding!!! After few moments, she remembered everything and her hand instinctively went on her tummy!!!

Just then a doctor enters her room and Geet asked the doctor worried "Doctor, mera bachcha--???"

Doctor looks at Geet sadly and said "I'm sorry Mrs. Khurana, we couldn't save your baby!!"

Geet felt like the world stopped with her words!!! She was in shock that she didn't even realised that the doctor has addressed her as Mrs. Khurana!!

Everything finished!!! Her last reason to live... is gone!!! Her baby... her Armaan... gone!!!

In just one day, she has lost everything!!! First her love, and now her baby!!!!

This is all because of Maan!!! He is jinxed!!! He crosses whoever's path, gets ruined!!! First her, and now her baby!! He had put his bad eye on her baby... which has killed her baby!!! He didn't wanted this baby, that's why she has lost her baby!!! She will never forgive him for killing her baby!!!

She saw him walking into her room...

There was a time when she would've wanted to break down in his arms at a moment like this, but now she doesn't even have tears for him!!! She will not let him see her breaking down!!! If he has come here to see her broken, then she will not give him that pleasure!!!

Maan sits near her and held her hand in his hand... He took her hand near his mouth and kissed the front of her hand while crying on her hand...

Geet felt a pang in her heart to see him crying but then she controlled herself knowing that these are just crocodile tears... and she is not gonna fall for his innocent-looking eyes!!!

He said crying on her hand "I'm so sorry Geet!!! Main gusse mein na jaane tumse kya kuch bol gaya!! Mujhe tum par vishvaas karna chahiye tha!!! Please mujhe maaf kar do Geet!!"

Geet looked at him blankly not believing any of his words anymore!!! She could forgive him for what he did to her, but she can never forgive him for killing her Armaan!!!

He said crying "Hamara bachcha Geet!!"

"Mar gaya!!" she said coldly without any emotion in her voice or her face!! Her voice sounded so cold and distant... even to herself!!!

Maan looked at her face surprised by her tone... He tried to wrap his arms around her in a hug but she picks up her hands to stop him from hugging her!!

Geet snapped at him "Don't touch me Maan!! Aapke haathon par mujhe mere bachche ke khoon ke chheente dikhte hain!!! Don't touch me!!!!"

Maan looks at her shocked by this sudden accusation!!! He said in pain "Geet!!!??"

Tears made way into her eyes and she said "You killed my baby Maan and I will never forgive you for that!!!"

He said with pain in his voice and eyes "How can you say that Geet??!! Tum mujhpe mere hi bachche ki mout ka ilzaam kaise laga sakti ho??!!"

Geet narrows her eyes and said angrily "Aapka bachcha??!! No Mr. Maan Singh Khurana, this baby was NOT yours!!! You lost the right to call him your baby the moment you questioned his existence!!! He was just my baby!!! Aapke liye to wo sirf ek paap tha na??!!" she wipes her tears and said "To achcha hi hua na Maan, k eek paap is duniya mein aane se pehle hi khatam ho gaya!!!!"

Maan felt like someone has stabbed him in his heart mercilessly!!!

Geet continued "I'm happy ke ye bachcha is duniya mein aane se pehle hi mar gaya, kiyunki agar ye is duniya mein aata, to aap jaisa insaan iska baap hota!!! Aur wo har pal mujhe aapki yaad dilvaata... aapke saath bitaaye huye us pal ki yaad dilvaata...jo pal kal tak mere liye bhagwaan ki puja ki tarah tha, lekin aaj wo pal ek shraap ki tarah hai!!! Ghin aati hai mujhe ye soch kar bhi, ke maine kabhi aapke saath wo pal bitaaye the!!! Sharam aati hai ye soch kar ke maine kabhi aapse pyaar kiya tha!!!!"

She could see that he was in pain with her words... and her heart was breaking apart by seeing him in this condition!!! But she don't have anything else to give to him anymore other than pain... because that's what's left with her!!! Just pain!!!! Her life is just symbolic of pain now!!!

He said while tears flowing from his eyes "I'm sorry Geet!! I know I've hurted you immensely!! You can punish me any way you want to, I wouldn't even utter a sigh... but please don't snatch the right from me to call this baby mine!!! I know I was wrong!! And I have to die in each moment of my life for my doing!!! But please Geet, don't turn away your face from me!! I cant live without you!!! Please punish me Geet!!! I'm not asking for forgiveness, I'm asking for punishment!!! Please punish me for my sins Geet, but please don't leave me!!!"

Geet looked at him and said mechanically "Punishment?? You want punishment Maan?? Then I will punish you!! Aapki saza ye hai Maan, ke aap apni saari zindagi mere bina guzaarenge!!! Jaise main apne bachche ke liye pal-pal marungi, waise hi aap bhi mere liye pal-pal marenge!!! Main aapki zindagi se hamesha ke liye jaa rahi hoon Maan!! Aaj ke baad bhool jaaungi main, ke maine kabhi Maan Singh Khurana naam ke shaks se pyaar bhi kiya tha!! Bhool jaaungi, ke kabhi main aapse milli bhi thi!!!!" she starts to walk away from him as he is looking at her with pain-filled eyes...

She stops after few steps and said without looking at him "Main dua karungi ke aaj ke baad hum kabhi na milein!! Lekin agar kabhi zindagi mein firse aamna-saamna hua, to hum sirf do ajnabi honge!! Ajnabi!!!"

And she walks out...

Geet opened her eyes and she was still standing in the narrow alley...

She said looking into the sky while crying bitterly "I'm sorry baby!! Mumma aapse kiya hua vaada nibha nahi paayi!! Mumma aapko is duniya mein laane mein nakamyaab rahi!!! Magar Mumma aapko bhooli nahi hai Armaan!! Aap aaj bhi aapki Mumma ke dil mein baste ho!!! Don't worry Armaan, Mumma will never forgive your killer!!!" she said determinedly "Aapne mujhse mera baby chheena hai Maan, iske liye main aapko kabhi maaf nahi karungi!!! Kabhi nahi!!!"

"Tum bhool rahi ho Geet, ke wo bachcha mera bhi tha!!"

Geet looked back and saw Maan standing there.

He started walking towards her and said "Manaa ke mujhse galti hui thi Geet, mujhe tum par vishvaas karna chahiye tha!! Magar meri ek galti ki itni badi saza to mat do mujhe!! Main pichhle ek saal se tumhare bina pal-pal maraa hoon Geet!!! Har pal mein tumhare bina khoon ke aansu roya hoon!!! Please mujhe maaf kar do Geet!!!"

Geet said angrily "Yehi aapki sazaa hai Maan!! Ke aap sari zindagi khoon ke aansu royein!!! Aur main aapse pehle bhi keh chuki hoon, aur ab phir keh rahi hoon, ke woh bachcha aapka nahi tha!!!"

"Sirf tumhare keh dene se sachai badal nahi jaayegi Geet!!! Aur sach yehi hai ke wo bachcha mera bhi utna hi tha, jitna ke tumhara!!!"

Geet narrowed her eyes and said sarcastically "Oh really??!! Aapko kisne keh diya Maan, ke wo bachcha aapka tha?? Ek bachche ka pita kaun hai, is sawaal ka jawaab sirf uski maa de sakti hai!! And according to you, I'm the kind of woman who could sleep with any man right??!!"

"GEEET!!!!!" he didn't let her say anything more and pulled her in a jerk towards him angrily.

She looked into his eyes and said "What happened Maan??!! I'm just using your own words!!! So why are you feeling angry?? Or is it that you can accuse me of anything but I don't have any right to utter even a sigh???"

Maan's hold loosens on her arms and he said with pain in his voice "Ek galti ki kitni sazaa dogi Geet??!!"

"Aapki us ek galti ne, mujhse meri duniya chheen li Maan!! Mujhse mera bachcha chheen liya!! Main aapko kabhi maaf nahi karungi Maan!! Kabhi nahi!!!" she said determinedly.

She started to walk away when she heard him say "Maaf to tum karogi Geet!!" she looks back at him and he said with intensity in his voice "Aur shayad tumhaare dil ne mujhe maaf kar bhi diya hai!!! Sirf ikraar karna baaki hai Geet!!!"

"Aap galat hain Maan..." she tried to contradict him but he didn't let her finish and said casually "Tum kiyun bhool jaati ho Geet, ke tum mujhse kabhi jhooth bol hi nahi sakti ho!! You might not admit it Geet, but its true that your heart still beats for me!! Its true that you have always just loved me!! And very soon you will admit it too!! I can endure it if you are just punishing me Geet, but I will not endure you punishing yourself!!! I will not let you hurt your heart because of your anger!!! You will have to admit that you just love me!!!"

Geet's heart craved to admit to him that she has forgiven him, but her mind stopped her!! She said coldly "You can dream whatever you want Maan!! There's no tax on dreaming!! But don't be stupid to think that your dreams are ever gonna come true!!!" and she walks off...

He said looking at her retreating form "This is not a dream Geet!! You are just mine!! And I wont let you punish yourself for the past!!! You have to admit that you still love me!! And that's a promise!!!!"
