Misti ... enjoyed reading your analysis and the rest of the comments on this thread

Dont have a whole lot more to add to what you have said ...
- it was a good episode ... loved Avinash's portrayal of the various complexities in dev
- i too think that dev has, at this time, chosen to go with his gut instinct bcos of his fear of losing rads
- to some extent, rads enabled his behavior towards her ... so RK being stern with him was perfect to get him to back off from having her prove herself over and over again
- as you pointed out, he has been fed on dadaji's ideals and bends over backwards to show his family that he is being fair ... in his eagerness to appear impartial to them, he has put rads through a lot
- your point about leaders who are so obsessed with their ideals and how it impacts the people who are closest to them is very well made ... hope dev slowly realizes this
- i dont think he has stepped out of dadaji's shadows yet but he is beginning to take the first baby steps towards it ... would be very interesting to see his progress
- dev wants to appear like a leader in front of his family and does not want to second guess himself ... but privately has plenty of self doubt ... loved the scene where he talks about not wanting to open the book bcos he does not know if he will like the answers he will see there ... that is his problem with a lot of things going on in his life right now
- if he were to find out that virat was the one who actually tried to kill barkha, what will he make of why barkha was lying to him about it being rads
- liked rk's insistence on knowing why dev did not trust rads the first time around and how it is different this time ; also the refusal to put rads through one more test
- for padma, she sees herself in barkha but she is also steeped in dadaji's ideals and does not want to lose the life she is currently leading

- I am bummed that dadaji died ... would like a fully evolved Dev (at some point of time in the future) to take him to task for all of the havoc he has created in their lives

For me, acting wise it was Avinash, Rubina, Padma ... BB is hilarious with her expressions and dialogue delivery regarding rads being a bhooth

Am curious to see what trps will be for last week ...

Neerja love is of different types...I don't think dada knew the meaning of unconditional love (atleast from the way they have depicted him in this story) ...he was too much in love with his own ideals to even realise that. Dada loved Dev but he loved his ideals and the prestige more than he loved Dev. Radhika was considered as a "characterless girl" and dada was stopping Dev from being associated wuth Radhika because according to him that will destroy Dev's future and his families prestige. In real life also any father or grandfather will do that...they will not let their son/daughter get married to someone whose character has been questioned by society. But he went about it the wrong way...if he had really loved Dev unconditionally he would have kept in mind that Dev loves Radhika and wanted to marry her, he also knew who exactly the guilty party here is and if he really wanted justice happening then knowing that Rohan is more responsible for this, he would have seen to it that Rohan's name comes out in front of society. In that way Radhika's name would have been cleared, Dev could have married Radhika openly and he would have also become RP with Radhika as the RPtian...But dada again let his love for his image and family prestige win, he kept quiet about Rohan and let everything fall on Radhika's head. Yes Radhika did wrong in going in as the false wife but Rohan did far greater wrong in forcing an unmarried girl spend the night in his room and emotionally abusing her to act as his wife infront of society . . Dada was one of the most complex characters in this story and the actor enacting as dada was brilliant...and that is why I was dissapointed when they killed dada. I would have liked to see the awakened Dev coming up against dada...the emotional conflict that would have generated there would have been interesting to watch.Anyway what has happened has happened.
As for Dev, yes only Radhika gave him unconditional love...Dev is probably an introvert becuase most probably he realised very early on in his life that it is no use telling anyone because no one is there to listen and act on it.People willeither shout at him or will pat his head...and yes regarding the scene that you have mentioned...he did looklike a little boy ...and yes he is the garantee for this family's easy life style.

Thanks misti for the clarification on proofs

Res he is far from self realization and for whatever reason guilt/fear he is not ready to accept BHs version i still feel Dev has lots to understand and go thru before actually match rads caliber or be worthy for her acceptance once again..i really really wish to see rads giving him taste of his own medicine before accepting him or forgiving him...but thats just my wishful thinking😉
for some reason i cant symphathize with his charcater..not so soon or may be i am wayy unrelenting on him this season (somewhr he isnt in my list of favs. from begining😕)
