Desi Boyz Has Big Fall On Tuesday

Desi Boyz had a big fall on Tuesday as collections were around 20-25% lower than its Monday collections. the film collected around 2.50-2.75 crore nett on Tuesday. This takes the films five day collection to around 31 crore nett.

The film is on a downward trend and not much business can be expected from here on.

Circuits like CPCI and Rajasthan all fell more than 25% on Tuesday than Monday. Delhi/UP also saw a big fall while East Punjab was the steadiest circuit.

The best business from day one was in Delhi, Punjab and Rajasthan multiplexes but now even these are on a pretty big decline on a daily basis. The film may not cross the five crore nett mark in East Punjab or the ten crore nett mark in Delhi/UP.

Watched it the day before yesterday!(:

Ahahaha...I LOVED IT! 😆 Honestly, from the trailers and what not i didn't think i would like the movie, at all. My cousins had to drag me to watch it. I am so tired of the typical "mindless and not funny" movies...but, i loved Desi Boyz. Yes, its not completely sane but its a good comedy. I was on a roll, laughing! The movie is just so much fun!(: The perfect comic-timing between with Akshay-John makes the movie great. They are hilarious. I loved both of their characters and acting. Not to mention the hotness on the screen!(; Deepika was good too and ohmygosh, this Chitrangada girl is amazing. Finally a new comer that can act! Lol. I loved her...she has great screen presence; looking forward to her work. And Sanjay was good too...who else would play that character. Ha! And as much as these characters were fun and the actors were good...my favorite HAS to be the dad aka Anupam Kher! 😆 He is HILARIOUS! Every time he was on screen i was totally focusing on him..."don't get ambitious"...🤣 He says that line and HOW! Lol...I was in splits. Ever since i have watched the movie i have been saying "don't get ambitious". Ahahaha...just thinking about it makes me laugh. Oookkkaaayyy...this is not a review now, its just me rambling...Ooppss! Sowie!:D So, overall...The story is tolerable-okay, the cast is great, the music is good, the dialogues are funny. The movie itself is funny...puts a smile on your face after you have watched it. Give this one a try!(: A fun watch.

Akshay Kumar's Desi Boyz Nets Rs. 40 Cr In Week 1

Desi Boyz took quite a flying start last weekend (Rs. 28-29 crore) but the drop started from Monday onwards so that the week closed at Rs. 40 crore.

Considering that Eros managed to sell its satellite rights for Rs. 27 crore, music rights for approximately Rs. 6-7 crore and would be getting a subsidy of Rs. 15-16 crore from the UK government, a week of Rs. 40 crore is not at all bad for a film with an investment of Rs. 65 crore.

The Akshay Kumar starrer has behaved well in Overseas, having grossed around Rs. 14 crore in the first week. The shares from India and Overseas theatrical are, therefore, Rs. 21-22 crore and Rs. 6-6.5 crore respectively. Profits have already come in.

I loved it too!!! Watched it again last night. Uff! Akki and John were so hot. The best part were the bloopers at the end. Akki has such a potty mouth: HOTNESS! Deepika has the cutest laugh ever!!!

Omi: I'm a huge fan of his. His comedic scenes were fantastic along with Anupam kher's. I wish Akki's gujju mommy was played by Kiron kher--it would have been so epic good! But loved loved loved it!!! Super entertaining and quite funny. It lagged a bit towards the end, but still worth the watch.

The little boy was so adorable, loved Deepika's hair and costumes. And yes Akki and John's dancing: funny and so HOT!!

I give a solid 8.5/10!

Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl Mixed Opening The Dirty Picture SUPER HIT

Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl had a mixed first day with many places recording low first day collections but some multiplexes recording 50-60% for the first day. The collections at multiplexes of Delhi city picked up well and came out with good collections on day one. The film will need a good jump on Saturday to come with a decent weekend.

The Dirty Picture had a huge first week and is a SUPER HIT film and should go on and collect do big lifetime business. The collections are down around 75% on its 8th from first day and in today's business scenario that is not bad. SUPER HIT

Desi Boyz dropped around 80-85% in week two and is unlikely to do much business from third week onwards. BELOW AVERAGE

It's a bumper last quarter for Bollywood!

There may still be four Fridays left to go and seven films yet to release this year, but B-Town's already celebrating its last quarter (Q4). With the latest releases The Dirty Picture and Desi Boyz joining the earlier list of hits, Ra.One and Rockstar, the mood is upbeat in Bollywood and trade analysts are already calling Q4 the bumper quarter.

"Apart from Eid, usually most biggies are lined up for release during this quarter as it's the most buzzing time of the year. The last quarter is, in fact, considered the most exciting phase, and with four hits already, the mood is upbeat in the industry. It's been an early Christmas in Bollywood with this bumper quarter for sure," shares trade analyst Taran Adarsh.
