CHAPTER -13
Two days after the engagement Geet was still in thoughts abt the engagement ...she knew tat maan didn't put the ring intentionally his mind was as clear as crystal unlike hers ... she was kind of avoiding maan ... maan didn't bother much as by now he was used to her diff moods ... at times she ll be happy and behave good with him then she ll not even care to look at him ...
it was the day of the marriage ... ballu was doing decorations and maan was helping him
" ballu do u think Bittoo's men are trustworthy ? " asked maan
" why u ask tat ? " ballu
" they are uncle's enemies wat if they have agreed to this marriage to take revenge on uncle and wat if they use geet for tat " said maan
no one thought it in tat angle ... it was only a re-union of family for them but now tat maan has raised such a qus it spread everywhere like fire exactly as how maan wanted ...
" from where do u get such wierd ideas " shouted mohinder
" sir we ought to think in all possible ways " said ballu
" shut up ... i know bittoo's family are our enemies but they are men of words and will never do anything of tat sort " said mohinder
" but sir ..."
" i don't want to discuss anything regarding tat " said mohinder and went away
maan who was listening to everything entered the room once mohinder left ...
" uncle is so nice tat he thinks all are good but we have the responsibility to take care of his family and him " said maan
" wat shd we do maan bhaiya " asked one of the men
" keep close watch on everyone from groom's side ... never leave them alone for even a min" said maan
" ok bhaiya " everyone said in union
maan left from there with victorious smile ...
The groom's ppl arrived ... bittoo's father Sajjan was not at all happy with the proposal if it was not for his son bittoo who is in love with geet for past 12 years he wouldn't have agreed for this marriage ...
rivalry between mohinder and sajjan is 50 yrs old and this marriage could never make them come in terms but still he was doing it for his son ...
As per maan's order each one from mohinder's gang was keeping an eye on one person from sajjan's gang ... this added fuel to suspicious fire of sajjan ... he ordered his men to be extra careful ...
Sajjan's men were even scared to eat in mohinder's house fearing poison in it ... they took the help of Geet's dog ... they fed it first if it was fine after eating it they would proceed to eat ...
maan was way too intelligent then the two gangs ... the doggy was already partner in his rime... the luncyh was served to sajjan's men ... they fed the sweet to the dog ... it was healthy so they decided to eat it ... then they fed Roti to the dog ... maan who was watching it from far signalled the doggy by whistling doggy looked at maan ... he gestured it to fall down and it followed him ...
sajjan's men were shocked ... they were convinced tat the food contained poison and tats why doggy died ...
" i knew tat mohinder wud do something like this ... how dare he play with me ? " spitted sajjan " i ll teach him a lesson "
saying tat sajjan with his gang to meet mohinder ... once they left maan came to the place and lifted the dog ... He kissed it and patted its back
Sajjan went to mohinder who was shocked to see groom's side coming to him with such accusation when there was only few hrs for marriage ...
" i never did anything ... i m not such dirty minded man to feed poison to my guests " said mohinder
" never say tat ... u planned to kill us ... i have proof with me ... ur dog ate this and its dead " said sajjan
" stop accusing our sir ... he ll never do smthing like tat " said ballu
" if ur sir is so good then ask him to eat this food and prove himself inocent " said sajjan
" how dare u ask our sir to eat the food eaten by dog " said ballu
Both the gang started to argue
"SHUT UP EVERYONE " shouted mohinder
" i m ready to do anything to prove my innocence " dsaid mohinder
" but sir ... "
mohinder stopped everyone by talking further ... he took the plate from sajjan and was abtr to eat tat when maan stopped him ...
" the dog is perfectly fine " said maan while walking towards the crowd woth the dog
" Doggy is fine ... its not poisomed they are cheating us ...they are not trustworthy..." said maan
just by seeing the dog in maan's hand mohinder understood that maan was behind everyuthing ... mohinder realised tat maan was correct ... these ppl are trustworthy ... wat if they suspect geet each and everyday and accuse her of something stupid like this ... he can't even imagine tat ... he was wrong for choosing someone like bittoo for geet ... he was happy tat he realized his mistake before it was too late ...
" are u satisfied Sajjan ji " said mohinder with stern voice
" woh ... i ..." sajjan
" i m glad tat i got to see ur true color so soon ... now i m not interested to give my daughter to ur son ... u may go " said mohinder
" u can't do tat mohinder ... u can't decieve my son ... he is madly in love with geet " said sajjan
Sajjan can't even imagine wat his son wud do if he didn't get geet ...
" my decision ids final u may go " said mohinder
" do u think anyone will marry a gal whose marriage has been stopped in middle ... no onw will dare to marry ur daughter ... i ll never allow any boy to even come to ur house ... its a challange " said sajjan as he was moving towards his car
" stop right there sajjan " said mohinder
sajjan turned to see
" my daughter will be married today, here, right now " said mohinder
everyone looked at him in confusion as mohinder walked towards maan ...
" u said the other day tat u love my daughter ... i ask u now do u love her still .? will u marry her ?..."
on not receiving any answe from maan mohinder joined his palms as if begging and said plzzz
" uncle vo ..." maan tried to talk
" yes or no " asked mohinder
Maan looked at geet ... her eyes had diff emotions and various qus ... not giving any second thought maan bluttered " yes"
all were happy ... mohionder didn't wait for even a second ... maan and geet's marriage took place at the same mandap ...
They pronounced the vows of marriage ... at wrong time maan's phone rang ... he looked at the caller id it was ajay ... maan with no second thought just switched off the phone ...
Maan put mangalsutra and sindoor on Geet ... they were announced as husband and wife
