We told you that the whole Rakhi Sawant-Mika jhagda was a publicity stunt. And now a close friend of the actress reveals, that the recent 'kiss'a with Mika was a well-planned stunt.
A friend close to Miss Sawant reveals, "The truth is that Mika was in talks with Rakhi to do an act in her new film, which her brother is handling. They figured the need to create some buzz about this and figured — what better way than creating a controversy."
When this friend saw Rakhi bawling out loud on a news channel and arranging for a truce with Mika, she literally rolled on the floor, laughing. "This just goes to show how well Rakhi can act, I am sure she will get a role in a Satish Kaushik movie after her recent histrionics."
Devoted daughter: Amita Chandekar
Amita Chandekar is going through mixed emotions at the moment. She's been approached to play the role of Saavri — Chirag and Prajakta's daughter in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.
Her excitement for this role, however, is clouded by the recent hospitalisation of her dad.
Chandekar's dad was ailing from jaundice and has recently been brought home for recovery.
"I am definitely excited about the role. I still have to get details about it, but being a part of Kyunki, is something I have always looked forward to." About her dad's ailment, she says, "We should have taken him to the hospital quite early. I was very worried for him during the last few days, but now he has been discharged and is on his way to recovery."
Chandekar has decided to be by her dad's bedside till he recovers. "He's on a strict diet and I have to make sure he follows it."
The mummy returns: Sonali Bendre
After having a baby last August, Sonali Bendre had been missing from the circuit. But the actress has recently shot for a baby bathing bar and baby oil television commercial.
This is her first assignment after her maternity break. The new brand from Marico Industries has made use of a real-life mother to identify better with the brand. Seems like the Bendre babe wants to get back in front of the cameras. Is anyone out there listening?
Boogie night: Helen
While shooting for the chartbuster, Yeh mera dil in Don, Helen had to go on a strict diet for 15 days before the shoot, to get into the skimpy costume.
The yesteryear dance diva will share several anecdotes from her film career on Sony's Boogie Woogie, this week.
"One day, I was travelling with my mother in a car and some passers-by shouted, Helen!" My mother was so euphoric that she pushed my head out of the car window and screamed, "Yes, this is Helen! I still can't forget my mother's face."
And now, decades later, the contestants will boogie to famous Helen's tracks, anchors Jaaved, Naved Jaafri and Ravi Behl dress up as old-time screen villains for the show.
Taking over: Khyati Khandke
Finally, Reena Kapoor, Rani of Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki, will be dying, in the show. This SaharaOne soap takes a generation leap and Reena would rather be 'dead' than play 'mother' to a grown-up.
New incumbent, Khyati Khandke appears as Neha and will marry Prince, once Rani delivers a baby girl and dies. Khandke was earlier seen in Star's Kesar and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.
