Nihira is definitely best female singer in today's generation. However, she can not be compared with Asha Mangeshkar since, this person with that name does not exist. If you mean Asha Bhonsle, then I would agree with you (Asha married Bonsle, her family driver and eloped 55-60 years ago and changed her name from Asha Mangeshkar to Asha Bhonsle).

Ahem..Ashaji didn't marry her family driver.They didn't have a car back then.Both the sisters were struggling for recognition in the film industry when Asha Mangeshkar married a ration officer GanpatRao Bhosle without her family's consent 😛 .

You may be right. I had read in one of the books about Mangeshkar clan that Asha had eloped with their family driver or it could be Natak companies driver. It could be a speculated story. One fact is sure, and that, she did marry without her family's consent and today she is not known as Asha Mangeshkar.
