Hunks and dudes are a big 'no no' for Additi Gupta

Additi Gupta started her TV career with Balaji's show Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil. But the beautiful lady – who also is a fashion designer – made a mark and impressed critics and her fans alike with the spirited portrayal of Pihu in Zee TV's Sanjog Se Bani Sangini. However, after the show went off air, Additi kept away from the screen for quite some time.

"I was bored of doing same saas-bahu kind of serials. I was waiting for something exciting to come my way. I am glad that I didn't sign anything impulsively, as soon my fans will see me in a new avatar," smiles Additi.

Additi is talking about her new show Zindagi Kahe Smile Please produced by Optimystix. The show will be aired on Star One after its revamp and is expected go on air in January or February, 2012. Additi will share screen space with Dheeraj Dhoopar, who was seen in Star Plus'Behenein.

"Please don't ask me anything about the show. I cannot reveal much. But yes, my role is that of a 20-year old cute and masoom girl. I have already started shooting and the last 15-20 days have been the toughest time of my acting career. I am mature as a person and it's difficult to actmasoom. But I know people will love me in my new avatar," says Additi.

During the break after Sangini, Additi went to Goa –where her family has just shifted – and spent some cosy time on the beaches and had a gala time in the casinos. "Oh, my entire family loves to gamble (smiles). On a serious note, I wanted a break. It is essential for an actor to relax and look for different roles, or else life gets monotonous. After all, variety is the spice of life," says Additi.

Enough about work. So what's happening in your personal life? "Personal life? Abhi to bas kaam aur kaam. But when it comes to my dream man, I don't really expect much. All I can say he will be a simple man and not a hunk or a dude," informs the bubbly girl.

Hmm…hope fans of Additi are reading it. And the actress signs off by sharing her future plans. "Right now, I am concentrating on my upcoming show. I don't really think much about my career. I just go with the flow. On a long term, I shall act till I am beautiful and fans love me, after that I shall get married and settle down in life."
