I bought three bollywood songs dvd from the dvd store.. we used to call it geet mala.. it had all the songs in it starting from late 80's up untill 05.. i realized that times have changed drastically.. everything is soo different and i actually dont quite like this difference.. here's my list of things i realized
  • 90-03 was the best era ever.. in regards to the songs.. we dont have those songs anymore..
  • Kumar Sanu was a rageee... his songs were popular like anything.. every single song of his was minddblowingg
  • I actually liked SRK.. yeahhh i did.. he looked cutee and not soo Kingy..
  • Akshay Kumar is ridiculously under rated.. that guy has some potential man.. he is soo talented.. Naaraz sawera from Sangharsh is soo good.. his expressions are to look for..
  • Akki and Kareena did sooo many movies together???
  • Akki and Karisma did soo many movies together???
  • Akki and Karisma made such a good pair
  • Neelam did such small amount of moviesss..
  • Govinda was the best dancer ever..
  • Aishwariya looked non plastic
  • Amir Khan was one pink fair cuteee fellow..
  • Salman Khan was skinny and i mean Skinny..😆
  • Dance in the song dekha hai pehli baar was less of a dance and more of Aerobics
  • Saroj Khan was popular for nothing.. all she choreographed was PT exercises
  • Akshay Kumar had very sharp kinda girly features but he was always good looking.. very hairy too 🤢😆
  • Anil Kapoor should do more moviesss.. i miss him.. he was hairy and manly but we all like him.. dont we??
  • I wish Fardeen Khan did more movies.. he didnt know how to act but he had this innocence on his face.. he was cutee
  • Rahul Roy in Aashiqui was cute.. yeahhh he was..
  • I wish that time came back

thats about it for now.. i think i will come back and edit it..😆 add all ur inputs..

The 90s was the era of Gulshan Kumar...from a music standpoint that is. There were loads of movies then that were not worth a second glance but they featured good music...eg. Chor Aur Chand!

you made go back in time...and the music was awesome in 90s, no doubts about it...I agree with how some of the actors are underrated and some did very few movies and quit bollywood when they actually were good actors...I miss Divya Bharti the most 😭

Dekha hai pehli baar is my fav bachpan song ...actually the whole album is my fav...reasons best kept to myself...😆

I've liked Akki since tu cheez badi hai mast mast...

Agree with Jaya ...T-series ,Gulshan Kumar made the best of the music.
We even had so many of his bhajans at home...

I would beg mom to buy cassettes of the movies I liked, now I just download😔

I didnt watch much movies during 90s so songs were my main source of BW entertainment.
I didnt understand the lyrics of many (and I mean many)songs but I would sing it in my own gibberish language ..even at antakshris I refused to correct my lyrics.

90s had heroes working together without their bloated egos getting the way...AAA, Karan arjun, saifu and akki...sigh..

90s had an RGV who was still in his senses and made Satya, rangeela...

90s had SUNNY DEOL doing wht he PWNS everyone else at...i.e "Dhai kilo ka hath" and killing ants ("yaara oh yaara")

90s gave us A.R.reheman

Agree with you partly...

  • Yeah 90's had best songs, these were the times you could buy a whole cassette of only one movie and be really satisfied of the investment... todays music lacks the melody and the depth.
  • Akshay kumar was always one of the best looking guys in Btown, yeah he is underrated but he still has to wrk a bit on his expressions and ofcourse stop doing trashy movies or mayb stop doing same kind of movies in a row (it's a bad habbit of his)
  • Sangharsh was very good, the platonic love between Akshay and Priety was really heart touching and the dialogue "yeh akhen marwaengi"...ufff
  • Govinda is BEST dancer ever - Totally agreed.
  • Never liked Akki with the Kapoor sisters
  • Amir Khan looked better then but he does better movies now.
  • Yeah "dekha hai pehli baar" had some wierd dance steps.
  • Don't agree that Saroj khan was popular for nothing, if so,so many beautiful numbers like "Mere hathon mein nau nau choodiyan", "chane ke khet mein" "nimbooda" "taal' "radha kaise na jaale" "choli ke peeche" and now "jugni" would not exsit. And if you are talking about Saajan then it's credit goes to Chinni prakhash.
  • Fardeen Khan is really goodlooking but very bad actor, specially those giggles were so annoying
  • Sunny Deol had some good movies then specially Ghayal.
  • Sunjay dutt Had some good ones too and looked very sexy
  • 90's had heros with long hair...that was so awful...I like them visiting the barbar more often.
I wish this era was back as the bwood stars were very rarely seen so they arouse some excitement.

I saw some really good 90's films which keep playing on Sunrise tv. I loved Khiladi with Akshay & Deepak Tijori the suspense was incredible, Joh Jeeta Wohi Sikander, Baaghi, Hum hai rahi pyar ke they don't make songs like Sheher ki larki anymore it was such a catchy tune. I agree with Govinda being the best dancer they played his old early 90's and 80's films & he was the most natural.
