Geet walked towards Maan making faces, when her eyes fell on two people behind Maan…trowing a wide smile at her!!! and she tripped….shocked again…but she did!!!

The tray fell on the ground with a loud noise!

"wo…woah…"

And she ended up in Maan's arms…holding her protectively, still unable to believe what she had just seen!!!!

Maan straightened her, "geet...you okay?"

She didn't reply…rather kept looking at those two people, grinning foolishly at her! What the hell…how come these two are here? Oh God!!! She was too shocked to hear Maan!

He shook her to zap her back to reality but to no avail! He wondered what was she looking at that she is so darn spaced out and turned back! Both of them stood rooted while the other two waved a hi at them smiling widely

The four of them sat quietly on a table with Maan and geet's head hung low! Dan and Rahul sat in front of them smiling happily!

Dan: so Mr. COOL DUDE Maan..thought you could outsmart us right?? We finally found the little secret of yours almost after a whole lot of 3 months huh!

Rahul:ah..geet…to be honest, you look super cute in that apron!

Both Maan and geet gave the duo a deathly glare but they seemed unaffected.

Dan: ah…ah…ah….don't give us glares people…now since that we have found your little secret, it's of no use.

Rahul: seriously, you two have been together like this for so long and didn't even bother to tell us..Man that's not done!

Geet (self thought): uh oh…ab to mein gayi kaam se! the secret will be out and my Prez image gone! Bye bye Prez image!!! Will miss you!!! Maan…do something!

Dan: come on guys…we know you both are really good friends….but didn't you even think of telling at least us even once? Its not like we were going to tell the whole college about it!

Suddenly, the atmosphere became lighter. Maan and geet looked at then breathing normally!

Rahul: but still…we are disappointed! Maan you actually avoided us the whole 3 months!!! At least you could have told us right?? Today we feel so back stabbed you know!!!

Maan really felt bad…while geet fumed!

Maan: i….i….didn't mean to…guys!!! I know being the closest friends that you are, I was supposed to trust you…..but…you see…we..really didn't want this to be out in front of the whole college! I seriously didn't mean to hurt you guys!!!

And that's when geet pinched him hard on his hands! He screamed in pain, "OUCH…" and he held his arm massaging the painful area. He tunred to see a fuming geet beside him!!!

"hey ..what was that for?"

Geet (coldly): you deserve it!

Maan: now what did I do?

Dan and rahul just looked at them…wow the scene changed completely.

Geet: for how long have you known these two?

Maan wondered what was she upto but answered honestly, "since middle school!"

Geet: and how long have you known me?

Her voice was sharp…demanding….angry…authorative!!!!

Maan (cutely): past 6 months!

Geet clenched her fits, closed her eyes. Took a deep breath, stood up and banged her hands on the table making the three of them jump!!!!

Geet (shouting): what the hell do you think of yourself han???

Maan (stunned): huh??

Geet: you…yu…are you mad??? You avoided them for the past 3 months??? 3 MONTHS…do you even realize how long it is??

Maan: why are you getting so worked up geet??

Geet: how could you just do it??? You have known them since childhood and me only for the past 6 months….how could you just avoid them for a stupid me han???? do you even realise their value??

And that pinched Maan!!!! He didn't even realize that he actually avoided his friends and geet…how could she tell that??

Maan stood up to have a clear look at her face..there..he could see that little shine of tears in her eyes….

"know what Maan….lucky you are that they still came for you!! Otherwise..there are some people…who….who..ju…" she couldn't continue! She again closed her eyes trying to fight back the tears…no!!!

She is strong…she won't cry…not for something that doesn't exist..!!! Past few months have been so awesome…new friends…new life..then why was she feeling that strange pain today….why??? grr stupid stupid stupid her..she cursed herself!

She felt Maan hold her by her shoulder, "are you okay geet??"

She opened her eyes…rage replaced her tears! She jerked away from him and gave him a stern look, "APOLOGISE!"

Oh oh oh…what did she just say??? Apologise??? Ring a bell…MSK and apologise???? Was she pushing him to the edge????

Geet: Maan…apologise now!

Here Dan and rahul were enjoying the turn of events..for the 1^st time ever, Maan Singh Khurana was cornered by a girl…a GIRL!!! And he is not retoting back…wow…aisa mauka baar baarthode milta hain??? So they decided to take advantage of the situation. They immediately stood up and joined geet!!!

Rahul: yes Maan, apologise!!! We doesrve one don't we? You have hurt us real bad!

They muffeled their laughters and made innocent faces. Maan shot them a glare.

Geet: what are you staring at?? Say sorry!!!!

Dan faked a cry, "geet….forget it!!! Sigh…he won't understand!"

He hi-fived rahul behind geet which wasn't unnoticed by Maan!!! But a fuming geet was his tension…yaar suddenly ise kya ho gaya?

Maan (st): these two morons are so dead!!!

Geet (angrily): Maan!!!!

Maan (st): yaar ye MERI dost hain ya unki???ek din isne mujhe marwana hain!! MSK and apologise…never!!!

Geet was irritated by his silence yet getting emotional too…she didn't know why…but she was just not feeling right!! Why did he avoid them?? Does he even know how important friends are in life??? Why? They must have felt so bad na…kitna bura laga hoga..hai na babajee!!!!

Geet: Maan…aapne unhe itne din avoid kiya…still they came back for you…aapko bura nahi laga????

Her voice was not angry anymore…but rather some kind of weird sensation to it..which he just couldn't understand…a depth he couldn't fathom!!! But he sure did understand that she was not feeling right!!!

"aapne meri wajah se unhe kitna hurt kiya…." Her voice went low!!!dan and rahul stood behind, not understanding those hindi words…but they could relate to the sad atmosphere!!!

Maan: geet…kya baat hain….???

Geet: leave it Maan….i know you are not going to apologise…so forget it!!!!

he felt bad…she cannot see anyone getting hurt on her account…NO ONE! Not even the people she doesn't know!! She walked past Maan when he held her hand!!! She stopped in her tracks…didn't even turn back to look at him..and neither did he!!!! She kept her head low!!!!

He looked at his friends, "sorry guys…I shouldn't have done this…"

The moment she heard this…a smile didn't fail to decorate her lips….she felt happy…as if a heavy burden just lifted off her heart!!! He still held her hand without turning back…she didn't either!!! She didn't even bother to pull her hands away from his….a strange warmth cascaded through their bodies…as if each other's sudden calmness was soothing their hearts!!!!

Dan and rahul ran and hugged Maan!!!

Dan: stop it Maan…we were just pulling your leg…we know how much you hate apologizing!!!! And we also know that you won't hurt us until there is some strong reason!!!

Maan made a face but hugged them back smiling. But he still didn't let go of her hand…as if she wanted to!!! A calmness settled in her…she felt happy…happier seeing the friends together…phew things sorted out!!! Now one more work remains…the secret thing!!! She turned around.

Geet: ahh…excuse me guys…if you could please give me a few minutes from your hugs and kisses session..

Rahul: yes geet..

She knotted her dupatta and fumbled with her words!!!

Geet: umm…I…ermm…was just thinking..

She took a deep breath, " you guys didn't come here and didn't see anything okay!!!"

Now the three guys ganged up and looked at her curiously!!!

Rahul (innocently): but we did come here and saw amny things geet…how can you say we didn't???

Geet: wh…what????

Dan; yeah yeah..we have perfect eyesight geet…we say everything here. By the way why are you saying this??? Is there something special?

He eyes her apron! She was trapped..uff babajee why are they teasing her??? he looked at Maan gesturing him with her eyes to help her!!!!

He smiled, "yes geet..they came here so they definitely saw something na…are you hiding something???

She looked at all the 3 of them angrily….puffing up her cheeks and making a cute frown on her face…..just like that old Sweetu! They all just stood there admiring that cute frown on her face.

Maan: ok ok…that's enough for today!! Rahul and Dan…don't make my baby cry okay!!

And he winked at her!!!

Geet (shouting): AM NOT A CRYBABY

And the three burst out laughing!! Geet was fuming, "grr..you guys are making fun of me naa…!! Go away…am not talking to you guys!"

She started to leave when Dan and rahul blocked her way, trying to muffle their laughter!

Rahul: ok ok don't get mad geet…hehehe please…we are sorry!!!

Dan: and we won't tell about this to anyone!!! Promise!!!

She looked at them cutely…a smile struggling to form on her lips..

Rahul (evily): BUT…

That smile vanished…she raised her brows curiously

Dan: theres one condition baby!!!

Geet frowned, " and what is that?"

Rahul: you can't stop us from coming here!!!!

Her jaws dropped wide open…..what kind of condition is that???? she looked at Maan asking for help!!! He went to her and put his arm around her shoulder, " That's okay geet….you can trust them!"

The following week saw now gossips for the college people—the awesome foursome..maan, geet, Dan and rahul…most popular fellows of college as inseparable friends!!!! Weekdays, weekends…they were always together!!!! When it came to work, geet always maintained her strict nature…even with rahul and he knew that nature of geet really well!!!

This helped get to open up more with people around her….she was friendly with boys, but she still remained strict on disciplinarian grounds!!!

They were really having fun…so much that geet almost came out completely of her past!!! She was close with Dan and rahul but something was there with Maan….always!!!! she didn't know what but whenever she is near him, there would be 1000s of butterflies dancing in her tummy…a slight touch of his and her temperature would rise….but sadly she couldn't figure out what that was!!!!
