They were really having fun…so much that geet almost came out completely of her past!!! She was close with Dan and Rahul but something was there with Maan….always!!!! she didn't know what but whenever she is near him, there would be 1000s of butterflies dancing in her tummy…a slight touch of his and her temperature would rise….but sadly she couldn't figure out what that was!!!!

One typical evening…..

"hi…what are you doing?'

"getting ready"

"kahin jaa rahi ho?"

He could hear drawers opening and closing…her foot steps too!

"umm…kuch grocery leni hain..and some a dress too I guess"

She put on her Bluetooth and kept talking, "waise aap kya kar rahe hain??"

"umm getting bored!"

He could hear her car not getting started!!!

"Maan…car start nahi hi rahi"

"check the fuel tank!"

"Oh NO!!! I actually forgot to refill it!!! Tank poora empty hain…ab kya karoon Maan?? Am getting late!"

He laughed at her reaction," tum kitna pareshaan hoti ho geet!!!"

"aapko hansi aa rahi hai?? I needed to buy some important stuff!! Sigh...guess I have to take a cab then!"

"umm..ek minute..don't take a cab..am coming! Stay there okay!"

"no..thats okay Maan..i'll manage!"

"shut up and wait for me!! 10 minutes and I'll be there baby!"

Before she could Even react he had already disconnected the call! And within no time he was there with her.

"chalein?" he winked!

"aap meri baat kabhi nahi maanenge na Maan?" she complained.

"yaar I tell you..bhalai ka zamana nahi raha. T'm readily becoming your driver today and you are complaining!!! Imagine..maan Singh Khurana is actually agreeing to become someone's driver….isse lucky day tumhare liye aur kuch nahi ho sakta…you should take advantage of that silly!"

"yeah yeah.. I can see that Mr. Maan Singh Khurana…ab chalein?"

He just held her by her wait and led her towards the car and both drove off!!!

Like the word "Khurana" never had any effect on her now…to be honest she has completely blocked everything about her part from her mind….EVERYTHING SINGLE THING! Initially when she got to know Maan's full name..she was shocked..stunned…felt as if she'd just breakdown…years of self control would just vanish within moments…why was god cruel to her only…what was her fault?

But then she tried to reason herself logically…..theres not only MK with the surname Khurana…the world is really big and even her neighbors in India were Khuranas!! Supposedly, all khurana's are not her MK..no no scratch the word "hers"!!!!

moreover why should she even think of MK anyways….past was past!! Maan was so beautifully filling her life with colors…something that she had lost long time back…..something that she is loving so much now! Every single memory about anything else had just faded away….or she just made them fade away..never to be re-lived…for good!!! She is enjoying her present with Maan and others….there was no reason to be sad about anything!! But is she forgetting something important??

On geet's insistence, they reached an Indian mall…of course made for all the Indian communities out there! It was big and a grand one..everything about it was Indian!!!

"ooohhh….yahan kyun?"

"'cause I like Indian flavor in everything!" she gave him a cute smile!!!

"aww..how cute.." he leaned closer and pecked her on her cheeks!!!!

Oh my…she went so red…they were in the mall…what would everyone think? She never felt this excitement or embarrassed whenever he had pecked her earlier…but why today then?? Is it because he did it openly…or….um…..or…aarrggghhh she couldn't even gather her thoughts on the 2^nd reasons..she went clueless!!! Wow…may be she has actually opened that little dorr in her heart to respond to the sweet things in her life….ummm

"achcha batao pehle kahan jana hain?"

"umm..pehle thodi grocery phir dress!!!" she said excitedly.

Shopping was never this fun for both of them!!!! Searching for the requirements…Maan stuffing her bag with all his favourite eatables…her cribbing…..his teasing….and then their arguments over different flavours of sauces, spices…anything and everything. The moment seemed so beautiful….no care about the world, no restrains, no hesitations and of course no past!!!

Both spent a lovely time forgetting their surroundings…laughter filled the air and that one little heart inside was elated to no ends!!! And she knew not when her hand held his…tightly….like there was no tomorrow…like the moment was meant to be…only for her to experience!!! Fingers entwined…like the threads of fate….

They billed the grocery, left it at the counter and left for clothing!!! They went to the salwar kameez section!!!! They kept bickering about evry single thing..starting from color to designs!!!!

"Maan…aap kabhi meri baat kyun nahi sunte?"

"geet…meine kaha na..ye wala matlab yahi wala!!"

"I don't like the color.." she pouted!!!

" well I DO!"

"and what makes you think that I'll wear what you like?"

Oh god…this girl…why is she so stubborn?? He was infuriated…he held her waist and pulled her closer in a jerk!!! She collided with his chest and gasped when his hold tightened!!! She raised her head to look at him when their eyes met…..she just couldn't understand what he trying to show…the way his eyes looked at her…so intently…she felt him a complete stranger….

He leaned closer…he eyes fluttered!!!!

"m…Maan…." Her mouth went dry as his breath fell on her face…

"you WILL wear…." He whispered blowing into her ears..

She shivered…oh what was happening with her today?? So many feeling brewing up together and on top of it..why is his voice making her go all insane?? She'd have lost herself in that moment of time if he had not left her owing to the surroundings!!

"so…hum..ye lekar chalte hain!!!"

"umm…" she couldn't even hear him properly!

Oblivious to them was someone who stood there shocked..a few meters away from them…watching their little romance!!!

Dadi (st): acha bachu…..apni dadi se jhoot bolkar yahan romance chal raha hai!!! Maan.. ab dekhiye hum kya karte hain!

Saying so she walked towards them! Now Maan and geet were still fighting for a dress! She could manage to gather herself

"nahi nahi nahi I'll take the pink one !"

"no Geet you are taking blue!"

"whats your problem Maan…. Kyun pareshaan kar rahe hain mujhe?"

"acha…mein pareshaan kar raha hoon???"

"han!"

"Geet"

Someone tapped his shoulder behind him!

He didn't even turn back, "ek minute!"

" Then why did you ask me to help choose your dress?"

"Mujhe kya pata tha mein itni badi galti kar doongi !" she made a face.

Oh Man ….. why can't she accept anything quietly???

"galti han??"

Someone tapped his shoulders again!! Anyways he was mad at her and now someone disturbing him…that fellow is so so dead!!!

He just turned around and without looking started shouting, "I told you to wait a minute…can't you understa….." his voice died and his eyes widened in shock when he looked at the person standing in front of him!!!

Dadi fumed, "MAAN…APNI DADI SE AISE BAAT KARTE HAIN?"

The color of his face faded, "da…dadi aap yahan..k..kaise??"

Dadi faked a cry, "ab humare pote hi humse jhoot bolne lage hian….i asked you to take me to gurudwara and what did you say…you have an important assignment to attend to at Rahul's place…."

"b..b…dadi..wo…"

Dadi looked at geet who stood there like a dumb unable to understand whats going on!!!

Dadi (smiling): aap geet hain na? hum Maan ki dadi hain..we have met once after that disc party remember?"

"ji..namaste Dadima!" she folded her hands but the look on her face clearly showed that she still couldn't remember what happened that night!! No one had ever mentioned about that..yes there were gossips..but she assumed it to be the nonsense of those terrible boys…opps they were terrible then!! Abhi to ladka pasand aa raha hai na…thoda thoda!!!!😉😆

"waise geet beta…aap salwar kameez mein bahut hi pyari lag rahi hain!!"

She smiled…"thank you Dadima!!"

Now our Maan babu was getting impatient here..damn!!1 what was dadi doing here?? Agreed he made an excuse..but she'd land up here!!!! He definitely didn't expect this out of all things!!! And now since he knew he lied to dadi, he was pretty sure she wouldn't be getting off his back this soon or this easily!!! He has to do something quickly before dadi does anything and somehow get her out from that place…warna shaamat aani hain!!!

"geet bete…"

"aah dadi…aap ko der ho rahi hai na…you must be tired..please go home!!" Maan intervened!

Geet and dadi looked at him…why is he behaving like this??

"but Maan…hum bilkul theek hain..see am not tired!"

"no dadi…aapka BP low hain na..you shouldn't be walking around for long…you go home and take rest..mein abhi driver ko bulata hoon!!! Ok bye!"

He tried to pull dadi towards the exit when geet shouted, "Maan!!! Yeh koi tareeka hua apni dadi se aise baat karne ka??"

Dadi looked at him and smirked!!!

Dadi (st): ab dekhti hoon aap kya karte hain..chup chup ke dating han..apni dadi se panga!!! You don't know what I am Mr. Maan Singh Khurana!!!"

Maan rolled his eyes and turned to geet, "geet…tum beech mein mat pado..dekho dadi is tired!"

At this dadi snapped and moved near geet and held her, "aap humari bachi se aise kyun baat kar rahe hain? Even when I came I saw you shouting at her!!what is all this Maan?"

He closed his eyes and took a deep breath…dadi is hell bent on taking revenge from him!!!

"nahi dadi", he tried to reason, "mein shout nahi kar raha tha…"

"hum behre nahi hain Maan!" she warned!!!

He has to change the topic warna dadi geet ke saamne izzat ka kachda..nahi nahi!! He shouldn't let that happen!!!

"dadi…mein nahi…ye mujhse fight kar rahi thi!!!" and he pointed at geet!!!

Geet's mouth dropped to a big O….

"haiye rabba…itna jhoot!!" and turned to Dadima, " Dadima..ye mujhse jhagda kar rahe the..mein nahi!!!!"

Both looked at Maan angrily!!!

Maan (st): Dadima won't leave me this easily today!!! Kahan phas gaya yaar!!!"
