Homesick

Rusty, though born and brought up in London, has no problems making Chandigarh her hometown in Aisa Des Hai Mera on Sony.

Rusty, though born and brought up in London, has no problems making Chandigarh her hometown in Aisa Des Hai Mera on Sony. In fact, she has even had a makeover to look a complete desi. But in real life, Soumya Tandon who plays Rusty, is feeling lost in amchi Mumbai. The youngster who hails from Delhi is unable to adjust to the vagaries of our city. She landed here with her mother just a couple of months ago and the duo is already feeling homesick and depressed. However, one recent incident has managed to brighten their outlook considerably. Soumya forgot her purse in a rickshaw and believed that she had lost it for good. To her surprise, the driver traced her and returned it to her. "This can only happen in Mumbai. Delhiites are not so prompt," she confesses. Mumbaikars, take a bow.

I have heard it through "sources" that she is liking bombay much more ttthan she did. Also someone who is in the TV serial industry told me that she reads this forum regularly. So people let us make her feel at home. let us all tell her that we really love her here
