Uhhh...

Uhhh...

I don't know how to react to this post :\

Not once have I bashed Geet for yesterdays episode, it was really a technical flaw I blame the director for not being careful with the scene. Geet is after all human, and humans make mistake. She thought V is dead and Maan is coming, so without thinking she assumed it was Maan (like I said technical flaw, the room could've been a tad darker) however Geet really thought it was Maan and so she reacted to his trust. I don't know why people are going crazy over it.

Edit:

Forget to also add, V doesn't love her. He wants her. He's psychologically ill, for him, she is just an object of desire which he wants at all costs. The photo in the cage is a HUGE symbolism, he wants her in clutches. Love doesn't come into this. Yes, for him it's love but sadly, he's just a sick man. I don't blame V, fate has been harsh with him - he's just a sick man obsessed with something he can't have.

Oh god didn't think once while writing about comited women. extra marital affairs with psycos and raskals.since that idiot is risking her life she should accept his obsession and pervert acts.😔 . Did she ever tell in the show that she loves vikram or stupid dev no never with dev it was arranged marriage .She loves only maan and maan loves only geet.that is love. vicku loves geet body not geet that why he could reach her body not her soul.
whatever was shoewn y'terday was flaws from excecution dept.Let hope for some damage control episode on monday.

Yesterday's epi was shocking and no one blames Geet for that...she's innocent. Just look at the symbolism of the cage...Vikram wants to encage Geet...how sick is that🤢 Why would a girl love him? He's crazy and insensitive...it's not Geet's fault that she didn't realise it was Vikram...I mean what can she do?? She's after all a character created by the writer...the writing should have been more sensible and mature. This kind of gross error is unacceptable, it questions our reasoning...šŸ˜• The problem with yesterday's epi was it's writing...Geet is more than a character, she's life and blood...for us Maneetians...she's real and so is Maneet's love...I hope better sense prevails and everything returns back to the beautiful world of Maneet.

She has emotions doesnt she, and in that moment she let them out
Shes been so scared and her husband herself told her that he had a suprise for her
What did we expect her to do, become a jasoos within the second
The concept was brilliant but the execution went horribly wrong
They made certain mistakes, which the public wouldnt agree with

I agree with you! šŸ‘šŸ¼

I felt the episode was needed to move the story along! šŸ‘šŸ¼

Stalkers aren't supposed to be goody two shoes! They are supposed to wreak havoc! šŸ˜†

Geet thought Vikram was dead so she shouldn't be blamed.

If someone needs to be blamed then the writer Mahesh Pandey should be blamed!

I think you have stated your point very well and balanced but still the epi was a bit horrifying for me. I guess first because of my being such fan of Maaneet that it actually was so disturbing to see Geet with another. But also i can say that you can be pativrat type woman without being mythological. i am also young married woman like geet (married at eighteen) and can say that 1.) you will defo recognize the sense of your husband's body even you can't see his face and 2.) some women - even young todays woman (i am now 20) - feel only secure with their own husband and don't like to be physically close with paraya man. It is not like to be sati or something, it is just feeling right. I guess it is sanskari, but that can also be a good thing. i really think that is in fact the way Geet;s character has been presented. she is linked even by her Babaji to Maan and i think Maan feels same. Anyways...just a POV. Not to be rude or arguing.

yes..you shocked me a bit...but only because you managed to take it the discussion to a different route...i guess if the case of extramarital affair arises in the show...you would have made a great case for it...

Thanks for the post--- while I fully agree with you regarding the emancipation of the modern woman------the way that Geet has been portrayed in the serial as a forward thinking, courageous , modern girl instilled with conventional thoughts regarding her marriage and hubby. The extreme love portrayed previously has surpassed mundane feeling and has been elevated to a spiritual level with a connection of two souls---not just bodies. So, under these circumstances, it would be natural for anyone to question the reasons why Geet didn't recognize her husband by his touch----it would not be an issue here if she had not consummated her marriage. I also acknowledge that she wasn't expecting anyone other than Maan , but being a married person I think I would be able to tell the difference between the touch, feel and smell of my husband blindfolded.

But hey--tis is just my POV-----my intention was in no way to bash Geet but rather to question the correctness of the situation. Sorry for this looong post.

completly...agree with you...

I totally support your view. We Indians have a unique traditional background. Women play the pivotal role in our culture. Though I don't agree to the portrayal of bahus and all on television haunted by their mother in laws( it's too hyperbolic), I believe the very sustainability of our culture depends on such values( We are better judges and should know where to draw the line.)

Now coming to the serial Geet...

Geet has been a phenomenal success among youth, especially girls. And many other age groups have been dazzled by the magical chemistry Maneet share on screen. Sometimes we tend to view ourselves in the lead characters. And when Maneet is the purest form of love, the very manifestation of how our true love should be, we can't accept the fact that Geet(who is our own projection of what we'd like to be) to be with someone else other than Maan. Geet becomes all of us...it's like how can I not make out my husband from another man...and here the break, the shock happens...It's like I'd have recognised Maan if I was Geet then why didn't she??

It's perfectly okay if some of us found the episode shocking and disgusting...it's human to feel so...The writers probably wanted to use this sensibility of the viewers to rake up surprise and curiosity... They've succeded in doing that...but for long term it's not gonna work...cuz it shakes the very balance of the 'Maneet Love' the basis of the show. Anyways Maneet ROCKS!!! We'll love them and adore them for ever...for their selfless and pure love.😃
