I don't know what to say anymore. I am shocked at the extent to which people are judging Geet.
OK.. So she didn't realise that she was dancing with and with a man other than her husband. Fine it was a small error of judgement on her part. But lets cut her some slack. She was at the farmhouse for her husband's surprise. So who else was she to expect there other than Maan. Mind you she is not the one who doubts that Vickram is dead. So how was it supposed to cross her mind that the one she was with is her tormentor. She has been high on adrenaline, on high alert since the past few days and the news of Vickram's death brought about a lull in her senses. She dropped her guard and ended up committing a mistake of not recognizing that the man in the mask was not her husband.
But is the mistake so big that people are calling her names, deeming her characterless and are saying that they will forgive her for her mistake only if she gets mortally injured by a bullet while trying to save Maan. I mean seriously..Did they not see how appealed she was that she when she realised that she was not with Maan. Can't we let this misjudgement of hers pass.
And if we really want to blame someone it should be Vickram for being a coward pervert, MP for lack of creativity and SS for messed up execution.
Lets not blame the victim here..

PS: For someone who didn't have words, I ended up saying a lot

i agree with you completely. as audience and as maaneet fans, no one would love to see geet or maan dancing with someone else. but it was not geet's fault if she danced with Vikram thinking he is maan.
and this was required for the story. i do not blame geet for this. she is innocent.

your title grabbed my attention as i was thinking on how the day started for me on IF...i saw a post about how we need to come together and stop the violence against women...and precisely today they show this scene which makes everyone upset...but not because the stalker has managed to worm his way close to geet again and take advantage of the situation...or because she is being the victim of a sick crime that many women face...but they are upset because she didn't recognise that this person was not maan...as if the offense against maan is greater than the offense and violence that was commited against her by this stalker...

lets stop the violence against women intead!

i agree with u...your logic is absolutely justified...she thought vikram is dead...so it didn't cross her mind that she was dancing with vikram...come on guys geet is human & human makes mistake. and it is only a dance sequence, nothing else.

well said Geet was in good mood i mean she was unaware of Vikra being alive and the logic that maan had a doubt on his death...geet didnt think the way maan did because she was kind of reviled that he is no more watching CD and even she did not believe that he is dead she didnt want to think about it she just wanted to live in dream maan being near her and spending time alone far away from fear and tension so there is no need /point bashing geet

redfox: I bow down to you for your words !! Seriously you put it out just like I wanted to .. I'm thinking right now .. why are people still beating her up over this? No one even bothered to comment on the leech of a man that Vikram is for putting her in such a situation in the first place. For goodness sakes she was there for her husband's surprise.. she was already overwhelmed with the flower shower, picture display and decorations that if she felt Vikram was none other than Maan and it didn't cross her that it wasn't him -- it's not her fault. I was appalled to see that people call her characterless, or IMPURE for that matter. They acted as if she committed a grave sin for which I was seriously shocked. Cut her some slack is all I say. Thankyou for this!

I would say, i'm not judging Geet...we are not enough capable to judge Geet...she is much above us...we are nothing before her...but yes, i was a lil disappointed when she danced with Vikram...its preety natural, we cant see her dancing this passionately with anyone else...i was expecting her to recongnize the touch...that's it...and this is not character judging...yes, a few of us have crossed our limits in that, which i'm not liking.
