After SR were out i have not watched a single episode, forget voting. No charm is left in the show and I am just waiting it to be over so that whole new series starts again.

I agree. EMAET is not one-half as charming as C2005 in terms of program appeal and singing quality. Actually, if I compare to C2005, EMAET was never really charming in the first place, and now after SR are out, it has been even more uninteresting. I watch the episodes now, but don't feel like voting...the thing that makes you want to do something for somebody by voting seems missing.

Total votes coming in for EMAET in the previous weeks are quite low (average around 17+ lakh including internet votes). My opinion is votes will NOT add up much for EMAET finals.

Public voted abundantly during C2005 because there was real fight among some very very good singers (likes of Vinit, Nihira, Himani, Hemu). Total votes in the final between V and D were whopping 5+ crore (I think approximately) which would be a far cry for EMAET to even think of achieving.

Still, overall program packaging wise, Gajendra has left no stones unturned to arouse interest in the masses as best as possible.

Is EMAET heading to become a pomp television talent show, yet without enough public votes to match its pomposity?

If you asked me personally, i would say yes, in many senses, because i had watched only the final episode of C2005, that too after Debo was already known as winner.

For me it was a fresh start and i had the chance to feel the singers quality on my own with EMET as the start point.

I found four singers, among all, of better quality. Rajeev, Sharib, Vishwas and Aishwarya. Rajeev from the beginning, Sharib after he sang ' Suraj huwa madhyam', vishwas after he sang ' Agar mein kahu' and Aishwarya only after he sang ' Aa ke bhar lo'. Finally i liked Rajeevs singing only. It doesnot mean Rajeev is the best in sur, (of course he cant compete with any of them cause they are trained for all their lives), but potentially he is best. If i were music director i would immediately give him a break.
