😊 Life is to short. If someone makes a big mistake, most of us forgive. But, there are some who don't and years go by before something happens. Do you believe in forgiving or not? Is it the end of the world? Most of the times, things can be sorted and we all move on. But, it can get complicated.

I have read somewhere that forgiveness is like setting a caged bird free and then realizing that you were the caged bird all along. I can't agree with that saying more. Forgiveness is more like doing a favour to yourself that to the other person. When you forgive someone, you move on instead of holding onto things that prevent you from moving on. It is a grace you give yourself. But ofcourse, there is no right or wrong, but if one desieres a peaceful life, then it's best to forgive and forget, as they say😊

If you forgive but not forget then it is useless.
But it is important to be cautious in life. Forgiving does not mean we trust the person again fully.

Forgiving someone for their mistakes shows people how nice of a person you are, and honestly i think that many at time when your holding grudges it weighs you down a lot, so to keep yourself free, you should forgive those who hurt you, but depending on what they did to hurt you, you should decide if you should forget or not.

It is the best if we forgive. When we dun, the grudge bothers us, eventually the person starts bothering us and then we realize that the actual problem is sawdust now. Most people and mistakes aren't even worth the time that a person claims to have spend over em. However, if something has really bothered me, I will first give it an insight and then the person a piece of my walk, I won't harbor grudges. So, yes, FORGIVE.

depends on what you mean by forgive. Just telling a person is not enough. We have to actually trust that person and have positive feelings about him/her and really believe it was just a misunderstanding or that he/she will not do such a thing again or that it was not such a serious offense to begin with. Then it's true forgiveness.

You have to do what works for you. Forgiveness looks pretty on text but if it does not work for you personally, how do you cleanse yourself? Would I forgive pedophiles and rapists? No. Would I forgive and forget infidelity? Sure, after a long time lapse, I would. I won't say people who forgive are saints or cowards, or people who don't are vindictive spawns of satan. You choose the path that you are most comfortable treading on.

Depends on what you are forgiving them about. Some like to hold grudges some do not, some think life is too short not to forgive. If I feel i can trust that person then i will forgive them but then there is always the fear that by forgiving someone we are inviting them to hurt us again or that we are saying what they did was ok.

Sometimes, you forgive people simply because you still want them in your life...but the problem I forgive and forget, becos I have a good heart, and a terrible memory!

I don't think its humanly possible to forgive and forget...people like to think that they have forgiven and forgotten but I doubt if it really happens...the grudge always remains...trust is a very delicate bond and once its broken for whatever reason ...the damage is irrepairable...so I don't think that forgiving and forgetting completely is possible...atleast not for me...if someone has hurt me...i might try to forgive them but that relationship is never the same again...
