I too have that feeling!! There's no way will Anjali believe Khushi after she finds the truth!

well Ram was suppose to be the most perfect avatar of God - an ideal son, an ideal husband, and the most ideal king (this was the undoing to his till then untarnished personality)

So according to this Arnav (who is not really as ideal as Ram) has been shown to be the ideal son (he loves his mother to bits) /brother (can do anything for his sis)

... it is yet to be seen whether he would be the ideal husband/lover .. it would be as much of an agni pariksha for ASR as it would be for Khushi after the Shyam exposure fiasco... they would have to go through a lot after which their love will be stronger than before ... aag mein tap kar hi to sona aur nikharta hai :)

but i think we have interesting episodes in the future... going by the past experiences... the CVs and the director should be able to get across the turmoils in all their lives beautifully...

be prepared with infinite supply of tissues... teary days ahead...

Another question that always arises with the agni pariksha is the issue of rape! Sita was kidnapped and while she was under Ravaan's control anything could have been done to her against her will. What if she had been raped would Ram had rejected her because of it? What happened to love? As a man you're only allowed to love/marry a pure woman? If you don't consent to something and it happens against your will then that makes you impure? And therefore not worthy of love? Ram was supposed to be an avtar of Vishnu...sent to earth to right the wrongs of the time...shouldn't he have set the right example instead of giving in to the conventions of the time?????? He acted like a man not god.

I know I went off in a bit of a tangent but I am really glad they didn't take the Ramayan title because to me Ram / Sita are not a good example of a good love story. Ram turned out to be a ordinary man instead of a hero! And I don't want Arnav to behave as Ram! I want Arnav to stand up for Khushi or Khushi to stand up for herself.

Sita's agni pariksha and her eventual banishment are the most unpalatable aspects of the Ramayan.

But unlike Krishna who was always bhagwaan and knew he was an avatar of Vishnu, Rama never knew. He behaved like a man because that he is what he thought he was. Of course, he would have been a better man if he had stood up for Sita.

Now the question is whether Arnav will be able to do what Ram didn't and stand by Khushi no matter what, especially when the affected party is Anjali.
