thank u nidha sweetie 😳for this update loved it thank god it wasnt a full moon but who bit me?and my armaan he sooo luv me aww he was sooo worried for my jannn☺️... and sanju god when will she grow up any ways bachi hai she just need time and i have learn to control my gussa if was so upset and be calm i wouldnt have gotten in this state over all rocking update ...sorry 4 late reply luv ya sweets tc and your welcome i luv beinga part of this ff plz dont say thanks

Chapter 62

Kabir ran a glance through his now disordered room.

"What the heck was that?" he muttered completely dazed blood oozing from a cut to his forehead.

Flashback….

Kabir stepped into his room stretching his arms to ease off the tension in them. He had a long day at college with basket ball practice and gearing up for the coming fiesta.

He pulled of his jacket and got out of his T-shirt.

He noticed the beautifully wrapped package lying near his dressing table - The gift he had bought for Anky.

He picked it up with a wistful smile.

"What was I thinking? If I so much as show her the edge of this package she will throw me into a boiler" Kabir muttered thinking of Anky.

He placed the package down and his eyes caught the shining edge of a rod lying atop his wardrobe. He took it down and gazed at it.

It was a long silver rod with huge stone as large as a chicken egg placed at the very top. Faint blue and red lines which looked like veins were covering the stone. Kabir often felt the lines were pulsating but he pushed the thought aside thinking it as a figment of his imagination.

For some weird unexplained reason he felt attached to this rod. He had found it accidentally while plundering through the old storeroom. The stones glint had caught his eye then. He had taken it to his room for close examination. He had polished it with a cloth and for some reason didn't feel like placing it back into the store room.

When one of the servants had moved it back, he had thrown an enraged fit scaring the living daylights out of the poor soul.

"Why am I so attached to this thing?" he muttered for the umpteenth time.

An ear splitting crash reached his ears. He had barely moved to face his now shattered window when something or some one jumped on him.

The thing or person was sitting atop his bare chest now trying to prise away the rod from him.

Suddenly a flash of memories went through his mind. Memories he had never known existed, memories involving the now vibrating rod, clutched tightly in his arm.

He couldn't make much of the memories but one thing he knew - the rod shouldn't be given to his assailant.

With that thought came a fluid motion with which he threw the thing back. It hissed and stood up and came for him once more.

With a never-before felt ease Kabir jumped to the opposite corner.

But his landing was not swift and he ended up injuring his head.

The thing hissed once more but disappeared out of the window.

Flashback ends

His head was throbbing now. Kabir rubbed his temples to ease the pounding.

"Coming" he said irritated, as he discerned another pounding on the door.

"What" he almost bellowed at a flustered looking Mr. Rathod.

"Kabir beta are you okay, what happened to your forehead" he asked concerned " I also heard some noises on my way up here"

"Sorry dad…who actually I was just goofing about in the room and I ended breaking my mirror and window….that is how I got this" Kabir explained with his silliest smile possible. If he told about the thing, his Dad would surely sent him to the nearest asylum.

Mr. Rathod gave him a quizzical look.

"Abhay Raichand is here to meet you….should I sent him in?" Mr. Rathod asked.

"I am here Uncle, I am sorry I had to follow you I too heard the noise" Abhay explained with his best smile.

Mr. Rathod very much wanted to ask how Abhay heard the noise sitting in his study but decided to keep mum. Kids often never made sense like his son right now didn't

Goofing about? I sure hope he hasn't forgotten that he is 21 not 2 Mr. Rathod thought while climbing down the stairs, leaving Abhay with Kabir.

"Shall I come in?" Abhay asked politely

"Sure thing you already know what state my room is in" Kabir replied with a smile. He was surprised with this visit. He and Abhay were on good terms but Abhay Raichand didn't socialize much.

"Came in through the window I see" Abhay mused for the benefit of Kabir.

"Wait a minute how do you know that?" Kabir asked eyeing him doubtfully and picking up the rod at the same time.

"Kabir bro, I guess you need a little one-on-one session about supernaturals…..don't tell me you survived today's attack with your human skills….I sure as hell know you didn't" Abhay said with a knowing smile.

Kabir thought back to the attack and remembered his agility. It wasn't natural in any way he had to admit.

Again the memories flashed through him. Abhay too sensed it.

"Well" Abhay paused.

After a pregnant posed filled with many doubtful glances from Kabir and reassuring looks from Abhay, Kabir decided to go to the Raichand Mansion to make sense of the incident.

Raichand Mansion…..

Nikki sipped down the glass of chilled coke offered by Armaan.

"Thanks, that was one gruelling session" she said looking grateful.

"He will be okay right" Abhay said, glancing worriedly at Kabir who was lying still as statue on a plush sofa.

"Abhay I know my art, Kabir is right now visiting his ancestors" Nikki replied confidently.

"When the protection of the sceptre was passed down the previous history of the sceptre is also passed down by default into the minds of next protector in the family. This sceptre has been protected by the Rathod family for over 2 centuries now. It's security was threatened now and then. But for the last one century all was in peace, so no particular protector was needed and sceptre lay almost forgotten. But now when it's security is once again being threatened and Kabir was today openly attacked his memory was triggered, there might have been protectors before him in his family but they were not needed. For five centuries none ever knew it because the protectors where pretty secretive about it" Raghav , an 700 year old vampire explained.

"And how do you know this?" Siddarth asked doubtfully.

"Once I was the protector of this rod dear boy, but the moment fate changed me into a vampire that power was taken from me and given to another" Raghav said wistfully "You did a good job dear" he acknowledged Nikki with a smile, who smiled back.

He exchanged a glance with Chand and Haseena and left the hall.

Kabir's eyes sprang open.

He looked at the people surrounding him.

"I didn't know that I lived among such a crazy crowd" he stated with half a smile.

Light laughter ringed in the room

Nice update! Shaurya's mom was super mean to Sanju! I'm glad though that Shaurya stood up for Sanju! I really hope Shaurya's mom accepts Sanju soon and apologizes for her behavior towards Sanju! Looking forward to the next update! Continue soon 😊

Chapter 63

All of them stared at Shaurya and Manno incredulously. Sanju was holding her stinging cheeks tears streaming down from her eyes.

"Maami that was overboard" Armaan said a little sternly to Manno while restricting Shaurya "Sanju aapki bahu hain….I agree that Shaurya should have told you and I won't support his decision to start his life without your blessings but this is no way to treat a member of the family maami"

"Member of the family my foot….how she a member of the family….hum tho isse sweekar karenge hi nahin" Manno retorted.

"Mom please pehli baath aapne bewaja Sanju ko datha aur maara…..aur ab aap keh rahi hon ki aap isse sweekar nahin karoge….tho teek hain mein bhi ghar waapis nahin aa raha" Shaurya was said adamantly.

Sanju looked at him in surprise. The Shaurya she knew was too attached to his family and here he was going against his mother - whom he loved the most- for her. Does this mean he really loved her?

Manno was fuming as she looked at Shaurya and Sanju and then back again.

"Theek hain tho hum bhi tum se sab rishtha thod dethe hain bitwa" she said and walked out of the house.

"Maami! Maami wait" Armaan said going behind her, Fiza followed him. But before they could stop her Manorama left the place.

"Damn! Everything is out of hand, now I will have to answer my mom for hurting her sister" Armaan said, running a hand through his hair.

Fiza kept a comforting hand on his shoulder.

"Don't worry….we will handle this together"

Armaan smiled at her and pulled her into a hug wanting her warmth as a support.

Fiza placed her head on his cold chest which as always soothed her.

Inside…

Shaurya looked at his friends looking at him. He didn't know what happened to him. The only thing he knew was that he couldn't let anyone, not even his mother hurt his Sanju. She meant a lot to him. But he also knew that he will have to pacify his mother soon, she was far too hurt.

"Guys I think it is better to leave them alone for some time" Anky said to others. Abhay nodded in agreement.

"Coming Aysha" he placed forward his hand.

Aysha gave him a look but placed her hand in his and allowed him to lead her. She needed a one on one with him.

Anky took her sister and Nidha and left the place.

"Everything went out of hand" she muttered under her breath in the car.

"Shaurya's mother was way too rude in my opinion, I mean slapping Sanju di and calling her names at first site….not done" Nidha said from the back seat.

"Sanju and Shaurya do share the blame Nidhs….they should've known better that to get married without warning any one" Sur said logically.

"I don't know if it is my feeling alone but doesn't their marriage seem a bit fake?" Nidha voiced out loud.

"What do you mean Nidhs?" Anky asked frowning.

"I mean today Shaurya was all alpha I agree….but at times Sanju Di seem to have no genuine interest in him….like she is just not interested….just my feeling maybe" Nidha mused.

Anky kept quiet. This was feeling she had. But involving in Sanju's matters wasn't exactly easy. The girl was really stubborn and feisty. But she also knew how to get out of her won problems. Sanju just hoped that her problems would settle before their up coming final exams.

"Di look at that….that is Sid bhai's car na" Sur said pointing at white BMW.

"So it is, but why is it parked here in the middle of nowhere…and where is bhai?" Anky said.

Sid stepped out of the forest at the instant and moonlight enlightened his face which was smeared with blood.

The girls in the car stared at him in complete shock.

A little far away….

Khuranna Mansion….

Jeh was seething with anger and wanted to break something or rather some one.

"Simmer down Jeh, your anger is not going to help you" Neel said rubbing his temples to lower down his own anger.

"Speak for yourself bro….I am not in any way gonna simmer down….those b******s backstabbed us and you want me to simmer down….why should I be blaming them….you are the one who should be fired….who the hell told you to let them into our pack….I didn't trust those scumbags from the beginning…..Viren and Virat are gonna end up dead soon…..the only reason I kept them alive the last time was because you asked me too….this is the limit Neel" Jeh fumed at his brother breaking a vase on the nearby table.

"Zip it up will you bro! I didn't have the intuition to see through them all right……we let them in because they were older and more experienced than us….who knew that they would give entry to the Aldarian's….much less that they would join the enemy….but now we have to keep our eyes open for the sceptre…..coz once the Aldarians get hold of it there is no stopping them" Neel fumed back.

Jeh let a little of his anger flow out. His brother had already taken the brunt of their mother's anger. Had it been his way, he would have finished off Virain and Virat the day they attacked Sur and Nidha. Neel's moral values had stopped him then.

Nothing is going to save you the next time we face each other Jeh promised mentally.
