Waiting For It Especially After Reading The Preview 😳
Recap: Arnav made his deal. Khushi agreed to the deal. A man called Khushi through Arnav's phone and Khushi is shocked.
The phone fell out of her hand as she fell back on the bed. Head spinning, she felt the world slipping out of her hand. Tears streamed down her cheeks as she realized what the man had said. Her lips parted, letting out a gasp. The name slipped out of her mouth as if it would make everything okay. As if they would go back to all of the happy times. As if time would rewind and she would be back into her husband's arms like she was last night. Whispering Arnav, she feelt her throat clog up the moment she said the word that meant the world to her.
Saying his name had also brought her out of her revere. Feeling the seriousness of the situation, she quickly picked up her phone which was lying on the floor since she had dropped it in her shock. Putting it near her ear with trembling hands, she asked the man on the other side which hospital he was in, her Arnav. Grabbing a piece of paper, she wrote down the address as fast as her hands would allow her to, cursing the person to speak faster mentally. He seemed depressed as if all of this was his fault, but it did not matter to her. She just needed to be there for him, for her Arnav, who needed her the most at this moment.
She hung up on the person telling him thank you for informing her and sprung out of the room as fast as her legs would allow her. Nothing mattered anymore, nothing made sense, all responsibilities felt small compared to the big gray cloud that had entered her life. Her life, her breath, her soul, her husband, her Arnav was in the hospital since he had gotten in a accident, and he needed her now.
"Khushi? Arrey Khushi tum kahan ja rahi ho??" Anjali questioned her when in her haste she had bumped into Di who had been coming to ask about Arnav.
"Di, Di!" Khushi yelled at her through her tears. She was a nervous wreck, her heart beating so hard. She just had to be out of here and with her life since life without him would be a life with no breath.
"Arrey Khushi!? Kya hua? Tum itni tension meh kyun ho?" Anjali asked, fear gripping her now that she had seen the state Khushi was in.
"Woh, woh Di," Khushi tried to tell Anjali through her tears but they would not stop streaming down her face
"Khushi tum kuch bolethi kyun nahi ho?! Bolo nah! Kya hua? Chotey ko kuch hua ha kya? " Anjali questioned her voice dropping in dread as she thought of her little brother.
At the sound of her husband's name, Khushi completely broke down, trying to tell Di what had happened between her sobs.
"Di... Arnav... Di...," Khushi burst out, sobbing hard. This was even worse than anyone of her nightmares, it was something she could not wake up to find had never happened. Her Arnav was hurt, he had gotten in an accident and she could not change that. No I can't change that but I can be strong! Yes I will be strong, for my Arnav, for my love. We will get through this together and we will move on from this accident together, she thought to herself.
Wiping away her tears she looked up to see that now Nani, Mami and Payal jiji had both appeared into the living room. Anjali Di had a shaken look on her face as she shook her head as if trying to keep the idea of her brother not being well out of her mind. Khushi watched as Di staggered backwards. How am I going to tell her what has happened when she is like this even before knowing the events? Will she be able to handle the news? If anything I have to be strong for Anjali Di.
"Kya hua Khushi bitiya!?" Nani answered her voice trembling looking at the state of the girls she loved were in. This can only be for one person. Please don't say so...
"Arnav got in an accident Nani," Khushi replied, her voice trembling near the end. After saying it, it felt more real. The idea of losing her life felt real. The idea of never seeing her Arnav felt more real.
"WHAT?!? HOWWW?? WHY?!?? Arrey Khushi! Kucho Bolo!" Mami screamed at Khushi breaking her out of her thoughts.
"Woh, woh iss hospital mein hain," Khushi told the family members, looking at them all in their eyes, leaving Di for the last, since she was scared to see what her eyes had in them. They held anguish but a certain type of determination as well, feeding Khushi with the strength she needed the most.
"Phir chalo. Arnav ko kuch nahi hoga," Anjali told them all in anger, moving towards to the door as fast as she could.Everyone else followed suit and left as quickly as possible to go to the hospital the man had told them Arnav was in.
Once they got there, they rushed to the emergency room where Arnav was being operated on. They saw the doctor coming out of the room with a grim expression which made Khushi's stomach churn. She quickly ran up to the doctor to ask about her husband.
"How is he? Is he okay?" Khushi asked, controlling her panicking voice as much as possible.
"Mrs. Raizada?" the doctor asked her, continuing when Khushi gave a slight nod with her head to indicate she was, "Your husband got in a very big accident. His car met with a truck in a way which we call a T-Bone accident. He was backing out of a driveway when a truck came out of nowhere and hit his car on the side. The truck hit the car on the left side which is why Mr. Raizada is still alive, but he is still not conscience. We are still tending to his wounds, which is why you cannot go to meet him inside. We will let you all know the moment we see an improvement in Mr. Raizada's health. Remember we will try out best to do everything for him.
Khushi could feel her world falling apart as she listened to what the doctor said. Arnav ran into a truck? Still here! Unconscience?, she thought as she tried to make out certain phrases from the doctor's speech.
Slowly walking over, she sat down on the hospital chairs, her tears started to fall once again as she stared at the emergency door. Those doors, they are what are separating me and my Arnav. He is fighting for his life in there and I can only sit out here and wait for him. But that I will do. I will wait for him, for the rest of my life, forever. When he married me, my dad tied us together by doing the kanyadaan. All of the memories, times, events, love shared between us wove us even closer to each other. These strings are tying us together, the strings of memories, feelings, love. These strings will tie us together forever, for seven years. Nothing will happen to my Arnav, she thought to herself, only breaking out of her thoughts when she felt a hand on her shoulder.
Looking up, she saw her jiji trying to comfort her. Taking one look at jiji, Khushi knew that she was trying to support her, but did not know what to say. Looking at her face which was full of concern for both her and Arnav, Khushi leaned into her sister, throwing her arms around Payal's waist. Khushi put her head on her jiji's stomach and started crying, clutching on to Payal as if she was Arnav.
Payal stroked Khushi head telling her that it would all be okay. Everything would be fine. He would be fine. Nothing would bother her peacful life. She told Khushi to have more faith in Devi Maiyya, to breath and be strong for everyone in the family. Khushi pulled out of her embrace when she heard jiju talking.
"Kya hua Bahi ko? Woh theek toh hain nah?" Akash asked Payal as he walked into the hospital, coming as fast as he could have from AR when he had heard Payal's scared voice telling him something about Bahi.
"Woh, ji Arnavji ka accident hogaya hai, aur woh," Payal tried to continue but the words would not come out so she pointed to the emergency door.
"Haye My Gawd! Humara bitawaaa! Uko koi boori naazar lagi hai! Dekho toh! Humara bitawaa ka accident hogaya!" Mami cried out, making so much noise that a nurse who had been walking by told her to tone it down since there were other patients as well.
"Ah nobody understands! My poor bitwaaa!" Mami wailed, making Payal rush from Khushi's side to help Mami.
"Don't worry Mummyji! Arnavji will be fine. Nothing will happen to him! He will be absolutely fine! Soon the doctor will come and tell us that our Arnavji is alright. Please don't stress yourself so much. It will all work out in the end. I promise, " Payal consoled Mami.
"Oh bityaaa!" Mami cried putting her head on Payal's shoulder while Payal patted Mami's head.
Anjali looked at the emergency door with no feelings at all. Her brother was in there fighting for his life, and if he' if he lost, then he would be leaving her' like their parents. How could he? Did he not think about me even once? His Di? His world? His life? How dare he even try to steal what is rightfully hers!? He could not just leave her like this. He promised'!
Anjali was broken. Her wounds were being opened once again. The wounds that had never actually healed. The wounds that she had received when her parents had died. When her marriage had been broken. She had been happy later though. After marrying Shyam, she had been happy that now her life would be perfect. Everything would be blissful since she had a loving husband, who, like her brother, was a work alcoholic, or so she had thought.
How could she have ever known that it was all phoney, all fake, all a sham, a game' that she unwilling was made to play. Her so called husband had always called her Rani Sahiba and she had thought of him as her king. How cruel had it been when she had realized what he had really been. She had been right though. He was the king' the king of the great chess game' that he had made her life into. The day she had found about the deceit, the lie, the betrayal, she had realized that she had never really been the queen, never really been a Rani Sahiba. All she had been was a pawn' in the great chess game that her King of a husband had played with her family', with her brother' with her' with her life... The game he had constructed' for the money she had' for the status she had in society' for the greedy monster in him' so it could rest peaceful' using me as a pawn, throwing me away when not needed'ruining my life.
The betrayal had wounded her once again, a wound that she then realized that had never been healed. How could it have been healed? Her husband's love had been fake! The love she had thought was for her' had all been for her money. How could such a love, heal her? A love that had never been pure, a love that she had never acquired.
Now she could not lose her Chotey as well. She knew that the only reason she was standing there, still strong, was for her brother. If he was not there'. Who else would she bother to live for? How could she live'. Live without him? How could' how could he' how could he just leave her'!
She looked at the door as everything around her started to dissolve. Forcing her eyes to travel away from the wretched door, she looked into Khushi's eyes. They were all red and puffy from the amount she had cried and the effort she had put in to not look weak in front of the family. Poor girl. She loves my Chotey so much, how could he just leave her like this?! No, no he won't leave her. He loves her as much as she loves him. He would not leave her' please' don't.
Anjali walked over to Khushi and sat down besides her without really realizing where she was going. No emotions were playing on her face, only a cold, hard and unreadable expression hovered over her face. Anjali could hear Nani pacing restlessly, Khushi who was now crying softly once again for her husband, Akash talking to the nurse on her brother's health, and Payal tyring to console Mami.
Nothing mattered to her at the moment. Her brother was being taken away from her, like everything else had been. Did she even have anything left anymore to give? No she didn't yet Devi Maiyya kept taking the smallest things she did have. Lifelessly she walked to the Devi Maiyya morti that was at the front of the hospital.
"How could you!? What did I do to deserve this? Everything'Everything I had, you took away from me. First my parents, then my husband, then my life, now' you want my brother too?? Why? Why cannot I have a smile on my face? Why cannot I be happy? Why do you have to steal every sign of happiness I ever encounter?!!! Arnav was right'. There is no god'" Anjali talked to the clay figure sitting in front of her, feeling disgust in her body as she thought about all of the vrats she had kept in front of the clay figure for her husband's long life. A husband who had never even been faithful. A husband who has only cared about the money she had' not the good in her.
Anjali looked away from the murti when she felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned around to see that Khushi had come from behind her and was now trying to comfort her.
"Don't worry Di. Everything will be fine! He will be fine! Don't worry," Khushi tried to console her.
Anjali looked at the girl in front of her, trying to be support to her when she herself was the one who needed support. She brought her hands up from her side, to Khushi's face. Wiping away her tears she told her, " Don't cry Khushi. You are very brave! Nothing will happen to Chotey and remember? He doesn't like it when you cry, so don't cry. At least for him."
Saying those words, Anjali finally broke down as all the thoughts of things that her Chotey liked rushed back. Everything about him, from his likes to dislikes, enveloped her as she started to cry like a baby. She felt Khushi put her arms around her and engulf her in a big bear hug. Anjali cried in Khushi's shoulder, hoping for a miracle that would save her Chotey. That is when she heard the doctor in the background.
"The patient is now better and conscience! You can go meet him but remember not to crowd and wear these aprons since he is still prone to germs due to his weak immunity at the moment."
