Aishwarya checks into hospital: PICS!

Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan checked into the Seven Hills Hospital in Mumbai at 11.30pm on 14 November, accompanied by husband Abhishek. The countdown to the birth of the couple's first baby has now officially begun.

She stepped out of her silver Mercedes and went inside the facility with her parents, Krishna and Vrinda Rai and brother Aditya, and in-laws, Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan and sister-in-law, Shweta Bachchan-Nanda.

Aishwarya's pregnancy has got to be the most talked about thing ever!

Right from deciding the time and date of the birth of her first child, Aishwarya has been the topic du jour for months now ever since her father-in-law tweeted the same back in June.

The entire family was inside with her till about 12:15am, after which they all left to go home. Abhishek saw them off at the hospital's entrance and then went back to Level 5, which is entirely reserved for the baby's birth.

This is a very exciting time for the Bachchans and the Rais as they wait for the new addition to their family to arrive any day now.

Abhishek has expressed his desire of wanting a baby girl, but a healthy baby is all that matters to the couple. Bachchan senior went home and tweeted in the wee hours, "T 559 – A day of expectation… but another day! The Lord has his ways and they are most special… we wait!!" Well, so does the world await the arrival of India's most famous baby yet!
