Good Site Speed = Spending More Time @ IF

Hi Friends,

Do you all know India Forums today runs dedicatedly on 4 Web servers + 1 Database server placed at one of the Premium Datacenter data393.

The way we are growing and everyday on an average 800 new members joins us which is a very high conversion rate from Guests to Members is sufficient enough to reflect the addictive and useful the forum have been to our members.

Recently from the past 2-3 weeks we have been facing really slow server access during Peak hours and many members have been complaining about it.

a) We have further optimized the code to take on more load and will be testing how it works out.

b) The "New Post" button have been added to the Forum Topics page so that now you can create a new post straight away from forum_topics.asp page.

c) The Printer friendly version have been improved and now doesn't include signature.

d) You will notice that the posting speed should have improved a lot.

e) The Forum Topics page "Show Topics by date" was not working and have been fixed.

f) PM Outbox page was loading slow and have been fixed.

Please do let me know what you think about the Site Speed now. Do you see any significant speed increase during Peak hours or its still the same.

lolz rads...Vj the speed is pretty good today! but then isnt it always good at this time. I-F usually goes slow during afternoon times (well at least afternoon times here in Canada 😳 ) ... anywayz for now its pretty good 😊

Vijay yes the speed is very good today now. But it can best known at night (India Times) when the traffic is the highest. Will post again then if there's any drastic change. But just now it's very very fast......

Me too looking forward to the Peak Hours today. Keeping my fingers crossed. 😳

I know it will get a bit slow however I feel it can take the load atleast.

I think the speed has improved a lot since yesterday when i was online. yesterday it was taking forever to post a reply or a new topic but today it is done in a few seconds. 👏

Hmmm...Yes, the speed has increased.But, just like Radz, I didnt notice. Im glad this worked out.Yesterday, the speed was kinda slow...it took 2 minutes to load one page.Ands I thought it was my connection (cogeco's) fault! Anyways, Thanks for fixing this problem. 😉

so far so good... It is usualy in the PM time in USA that it is really slooooooooow...being an addict it takes all my time...!!!!!!
