OS # 4: Escape
(Abhiya)
Part 2: Abhay's POV
I can't believe she is here. Right here, in my arms. She looked so beautiful with her hair filying in the air, caressing her rosy cheeks. She looked like an angel in the white halter dress that covered her delicate body and the moonlight was doing nothing, but enhancing her beauty even more. She hasn't changed. Not even a bit. She's still the same. That same innocent face, big green eyes, long, silky hair, slender figure, that same bubbly and talkative nature. But what is she doing here, in the woods? Why was she running? Who was she running from? I felt her grip tighten on my shirt and heard her speak.
"S... save me. Please." She whispered lightly and fainted in a matter of a second and he realized that she was drunk.
"Piya..." He said in a velvety voice.
Save her? From what? And... how is she drunk? She hates drinks! And who's she running from?
He heard loud noises and people shouting.
"Find her! How dare that b**** hit me!"
Abhay looked at Piya and scooped her up in his arms and carried her to his jeep. He layed her down on the back seat and stared at her innocent face.
She looked so pure and calm. His gaze dropped down to her chest, which rose up and down at regular intervals. Her dress had slipped down just a little, but down enough to reveal her cleavage. He immediately fisted his fingers and looked away, trying to control his manly urges. Closing the door, he got into the drivers seat and drove off to his house.
All throughout the drive, he kept looking at Piya through the rear-view.
Why is she back? I was living only with her faint memories for all these years. Then why is she back now? She is arousing those feelings again. Those feelings that I had surpressed deep down in my heart. But now that she's back, everything's gone in vain. All that hard work it took me has vanished in thin air.
I'm sorry. I forgot that you all are here. I'm Abhay. Abhay Raichand. I am 24 years old, live in New York, and am a Cardiologist by profession. You all must be thinking that 'Why is this guy so formal and cold' right? What do you expect from a guy that has lived his life all alone. Even after having a mother and father, I have always been alone in my life. My mom, Haseena Raichand, has always been more interested in partying, maintaining her 'high profile' in the society and my dad, Chand Raichand, was always busy in work. They never had the time to look after me so I always ended up staying alone. I have never received love from anyone in my life, well, excluding one person- my Bi.
Madhu Bi was placed as my nanny when I was 13. She is the only one that knows me more than I know myself. She still lives with me at my house and she is no less than my mother. You all must be wondering that how do I know Piya, right? That's a very long story. I'll tell you all later.
They soon reached his house and Abhay carried her inside.
"Abhay. You're back. Who's this?" A fine lady in smart black trousers and white shirt came out of her room and asked with a smile. She was none other than Bi. She wore the glasses that were in her hand and was shocked to see the girls face.
"Piya?" Abhay said nothing and looked at the ground.
"What happened to her?"
"She was being followed by some goons. I met her there and she fainted as she was drunk. So I brought her here." He explained.
"Oh. Take her to the guest room." Abhay nodded once and took her to the guest room.
The guest room was very simple, but beautiful. There were curtains and windows all around the room which made it look simply extravagant. He layed her down on the bed and started at her for a few seconds.
"Beautiful." He whispered. He shifted his gaze away and was about to leave when he saw blood drops on his hand. He looked at her and examined her. He saw a few small wounds on her hand and took out first-aid. He cleaned the wound and then covered her with the silky white duvet. He admired her for a while and then got up. He turned around and came face to face with Bi. He lowered his gaze.
"Come outside." After throwing a glance at Piya, he went outside. He stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling window and looked at the water droplets falling and hitting the ground, making melodious music.
"What will you do now?"
"I don't know."
"Will you be able to face her? Control yourself when she's around?"
"I don't know."
"How long are you going to hide your feelings from her?"
"Til it's needed."
"Why are you doing this? Why don't you tell her that you love her?"
"Does she even remember me? When she finds out who I am, she'll probably hate me."
"No, she probably doesn't remember you. But whatever happened years ago was, something that happened in immaturity. Both of you were very young to understand that." A lump formed in Abhay's throat, but he swallowed it down with much difficulty.
"I'm going to my room. I'm very tired." Saying this, he left for his room, leaving a sad Bi behind.
He walked up to his room and sat down on the rocking chair beside the window. He closed his eyes and her face appeared in front of his eyes. Their meeting in the woods came back to his mind.
Holding her in my arms felt so right, so perfect. Did she feel that as well? Or was it just me? It was probably just me.
Thinking about her, he drifted off to sleep, only to meet her in his dreams.
Piya's POV
I was running through the woods, trying to escape from something. But what? What was I running from? I felt myself crashing into someone and being held tightly. Who was it? I opened my eyes and saw a pair of electric blue eyes boring into mine. It was piercing through my soul, making me feel completely vulnerable. I felt myself drowning deeply into his eyes. His strong masculine scent was making me dizzy. Why was he having such effect on me? Why? Who was he?
Piya jerked her eyes open, but closed them immediately as the Sun's striking rays fell on her eyes. She opened them back slowly and absorbed her surroundings.
Where am I? Who's bedroom am I in?
Piya was confused. How did she land up there? Her mind suddenly drifted off to last nights events and she realized what had happened.
"Jeh..." Her eyes started to tear up as she realized that the guy that she trusted with her life betrayed her like that. She wanted the ground to open and swallow her up. She wished that she was dead. Just then, Bi entered her room and saw Piya in deep thoughts.
"Oh, Piya. You're awake already?" Bi asked nicely. Piya came out of her thoughts and looked at her.
"Umm... yea."
"Good. Come on, finish up your breakfast." Piya smiled. She liked Bi already.
"Umm... aunty-"
"Please Piya. Don't call me aunty. Call me Bi."
"Ok, Bi. Umm... how did I get here?"
"Well dear, you were running in the woods and then my son found you and brought you here."
"Oh."
"By the way, why were you running in the woods at that time of the night?" The smile on Piya's face vanished at the question.
"Umm... a... actually... I... I..."
"What's wrong dear? Tell me."
"Nothing Bi. You can just say, that, I came to know the truth about someone and I lost the trust I had on them." She spoke, trying to keep her tears at bay, but Bi had already seen them. She patted her head.
"It's ok Piya. I don't know what happened, but I can tell you that whatever happened, happened for the best." Piya smiled and hugged Bi. She stayed like that for a while, and then something clicked into her mind.
"How do you know my name?"
"Umm... you had brought your purse with you. So, I had gone through it, and saw your name there.
"Oh. Umm... where is your son? I want to thank him for saving me."
"He... he's sleeping right now. He was very tired."
"Oh." She said with a tinge of disappointment in her voice. She badly wanted to meet that blue-eyed guy who saved her, who came in her dreams, who was affecting her badly. She felt someone's gaze on her and looked at the door, but couldn't see anyone there.
Maybe just an illusion.
"Finish up your breakfast and then get ready. I'll meet you downstairs."
"Umm... Bi. I don't have another pair of clothes."
"Oh. Well it's ok. I'll tell Abhay to go buy something for you. The mall isn't far from here." Bi started to go out of the room when Piya spoke. The name caught her attention.
Abhay?
"Abhay?"
"He's my son. He's the one that brought you here."
"Oh." Bi left the room and Piya started to think.
Abhay. I've heard this name before. But... where? Why do I feel like I know him? Oh God! These questions are gonna drive me INSANE! I better go freshen up before I end up slamming my head into the wall!
Piya got up and went to take a shower. She stripped off her clothes and stepped into the shower. She let the hot water run down her body and she leaned her hands against the wall. Flashes of last nights events came gushing back into her mind. Jeh's betrayal, his friends, her running through the woods, trying to save herself. She closed her eyes and let her tears mix in with the water.
Why? Why did this happen to me? Why did Jeh do this to me? Was his love, his care, all a farce? Did he never love me? Was he just using me? I can't believe I trusted that man with all my heart. I trusted him so much, kept him as my number one priority and he? He just ruined all of it! I made a mistake by trusting him. A HUGE mistake! Thank God Abhay saved me. Or else I probably wouldn't have been alive today. I must thank him for taking care of me.
She quickly took a shower and then peeked inside her room. She saw a few pair of clothes lying on the bed. She came out of the bathroom and took up a pair of black jeans and white babydoll shirt and slid into it. She came out of her room and saw Bi working in the kitchen.
Abhay should be up by now. Let me ask her where Abhay is.
She went up to her and asked her.
"Bi?"
"Yes Piya? May I help you?"
"Umm... Bi. Can you tell me where Abhay is?" She asked patiently though she was getting extremely restless on the inside.
"Yea, sure. He's in the gym right now." She said with a smile.
"Ok. Thanks!" She smiled and then quickly ran to the gym. She opened the door and heard some noises. She went closer and saw Abhay punching the punching bag really hard. She couldn't help, but stare at him.
His perfectly built body was driving her crazy. Muscles were ripping out from every part of his body. He had the most strongest and sexiest body that she had ever seen. She couldn't tear her gaze apart from him. She suddenly felt a strong urge to feel his body, to be crushed beneath him. She tore her gaze away from him and looked at the ground, horrified at her thinking.
Piya! SNAP OUT OF IT NOW! What the hell are you thinking?! How can you even let these thoughts enter your brain! Piya. This is insane. You can't let this guy affect you so badly! Just do what you had come to do. Wait. What the hell did I come to do? Oh yes! Thank him for saving my life. I'm going crazy I swear!
Piya started to walk slowly towards Abhay and stopped at a distance.
"Abhay." She spoke slowly, but Abhay didn't hear her.
"Abhay." She spoke a little bit loudly, but it still didn't work.
"Abhay!" She spoke loudly and she was successful in grabbing his attention, but what followed certainly wasn't expected.
Abhay turned around and punched the wall angrily with all his might and strength , trapping her completely. She stared at him in horror with her eyes wide open. She gasped as she realized the distance between them, which was less than an inch apart. She could feel his raging breath on her lips. She couldn't help, but stare at him. 'Angelic' would be the correct word to describe him. Bluish eyes, wide forehead which was covered with his jet black, shiny hair, cute dimples, perfect jawline, in other words, he was perfect. She felt her heart skip a beat.
Wow. This guy is gorgeous. He's just... perfect. No. That would actually be an understatement. He's the man of every girls' dreams. A dream boy. He's the 'Abhay' of every girl. Piya. For the last damn time, SNAP OUT OF IT! NOW!
Abhay's POV
He was in his gym, punching the punching bag, trying to vent out his anger and frustration on it.
Why can't I get her out of my head? I want to get her out of my head! She'll leave me in a few days and I'll be alone again. Wasn't the pain I already have in my heart enough that she's giving me more? No! I can't let her affect me this way! I'll have to keep her out of my head. I'll have to!
Abhay punched the bag even harder and after a while, he heard someone say his name.
"Abhay."
Piya?
He couldn't believe that she was here. He thought that he was hallucinating and brushed off the thought.
"Abhay." He heard her say his name again, and closed his eyes, still punching the bag.
"Abhay!" He lost control over himself and turned around and punched the wall really hard. He looked at her angrily and then realized that Piya was actually there.
Oh God. She's actually here.
He just couldn't stop staring at her beautiful face. He felt himself drowning into her beady eyes. He dropped his gaze down to her glossy lips. He could feel her heart thumping loudly against her chest. He looked up and saw her eyes closed.
"Abhay" She whispered very softly as her breath caressed his face. He immediately backed off and turned his back to her.
"I... I'm sorry." He said in a low voice. Piya opened her eyes and looked at the ground. She pulled a strand of her hair behind her ear in nervousness.
"What are you doing here?" He asked a bit rudely, surprising Piya.
"Umm... I... I came to thank you."
"For what?"
"For saving me yesterday."
"Hmm. It's alright." There was a moment of complete silence in the room. He sat down on the bean bags that were placed there and took a drink from the water bottle. He saw her standing up and signaled her to sit down through his eyes and she obeyed him.
"Who were you running from?" He asked suddenly. Flashes of last night came before her eyes, bringing tears as well. When he didn't hear anything from her side, he looked up and saw her wiping the tears before they could fall out.
"Tell me." He asked in a soft voice and Piya looked at him. She saw a genuine concern for her. For some reason, she felt like telling him everything, sharing all of her pain with him.
"My fianc." Abhay was confused.
"Why were you running from Jeh?" He asked and immediately regretted it.
"How do you know my fianc's name?"
"Um... I found it in your purse."
"Oh."
"So, tell me. Why were you running from him?"
"Because I found out about his truth."
"Truth?"
"Yes. His truth. My friends had arranged a party for me and Jeh as we were getting married. He had made me drink and... and then took me to a room. His friends were there as well. They told me about their 'deal'."
"What deal?"
"They had a deal that... I would spend... one night with them all." Tears finally rolled out of her eyes. Abhay was shocked. He couldn't believe that Jeh would do that!
I don't believe this! How can Jeh do this?! How DARE he do this to Piya!
"Oh my God! How can he do this?" There was a moment of complete silence. The only thing Abhay wanted to do, was go and beat the daylights out of Jeh. He fisted his fingers. He felt his blood boiling underneath his skin.
"Abhay... thanks for everything. I think I should leave now."
"But where are you gonna go?"
"Back to my house."
"Are you f***in crazy! If you go back there, then they will find you!" Piya looked at him.
"Look... Piya. Stay in my house for a few days. Then if you want to go... you can." Piya just stared at him. What else could she do?
Both stared into each others eyes, trying to find the answers to their questions. Piya slowly broke the eyelock and looked at the ground. She slowly nodded. Abhay felt really nice, though his face was completely expressionless.
"Ok. I'll go and tell Bi." He left the gym and saw Bi standing in front of him. He said nothing and left for his room and she followed him.
He reached his room and stood near the window in his room.
"Abhay. I heard everything. What ever happened, was really bad. But I'm glad that you decided to let her stay here. That was really nice of you." Abhay said nothing and kept staring outside.
"Abhay... I know what Jeh did was really bad, but I think that you should forgive-" Bi tried to convince Abhay, but he turned around abruptly and cut her off.
"Forgive him? You want me to forgive that b*****d?! He ruined everything! Whatever happened between me and Piya was because of him! And now, Piya is suffering because of him! And you want me to forgive him? No ways! I WILL KILL HIM!" His anger got the worst of him and he shouted. Bi got scared of this but remained calm. He threw a vase at the mirror and it shattered into pieces. Bi went and held Abhay from his shoulders.
"Abhay! Stop it! I know what Jeh did was wrong, but you can't change what has already happened." Abhay said nothing and went to the bathroom.
"Oh Lord. Please give Abhay all the happiness that he deserves. Don't give him any more pain." Bi prayed silently.
Piya POV
She was sitting on the bed, thinking about her decision over staying with Abhay.
Why did I agree to stay with him? Why didn't I say no? Why did I trust him so much? Why? I don't even know him. Yet, I told him about my personal life. What's wrong with me?
Her mind trailed off to the moment they shared in the gym. She could still smell his strong cologne around her. She went breathless as she remembered the moment. Their bodies were so close to each other. She had never felt these kinds of sensations. His mere touch shook her up. He was affecting her. Badly.
Tired of this, she decided to go out of her room. She went into the kitchen and saw Bi pacing the kitchen constantly.
"Bi? What's wrong? Why do you look so tensed?"
"Nothing."
"Tell me."
"Actually, I have to go meet my friend. She's been hospitalized."
"Then what are you waiting for? Can't you just go?"
"No, it's not like that. Actually, most of the servants are not here today. After all, it's Sunday. And, I have to make Abhay's food. If I go right now, then I can't do that. I don't know what to do." Bi said worriedly. They thought for a while and then Piya spoke up.
"Bi. If you don't mind, can I cook today?"
"You?" She asked with a doubt and Piya nodded. "But you don't even know what Abhay likes. How are you going to-"
"You leave that on me. I'm sure Abhay will like what I will make. You don't worry, and go meet your friend." Bi smiled and patted her head and left.
"I told her that I'll cook for him today. But... what will I make?" She thought for a while and then came up with an idea. "Parantha! Yes. I'll make that for him!" She thought happily.
She took out all the needed ingrediants and started to make the paranthas. In about 2 hours, she was done making them.
Wooh! I'm finally done! Just hope that Abhay likes this. I'm sure he will. Now let me go serve the plates.
With the help of Stella, Piya prepared the plates and then went inside the kitchen to see what happens.
Abhay came down and sat down at the dining table. Stella started to serve the food and Abhay got angry seeing paranthas there. He stood up in anger and yelled at Stella, scaring Piya.
"What the hell is this Stella?! Don't you know I don't eat Indian food? How dare you serve me this! And where's Bi? Can you not do one thing right?"
Oh no! Everything's gone wrong! Abhay hates Indian food! But why? Ugh! Piya! You're soo stupid! I gotta go now!
She came out of the kitchen and went to Abhay.
"Abhay. It's not Stella's fault. I cooked it today. Bi had to go meet her friend as she was hospitalized. So I told her that I'll cook. But I didn't know that you don't like Indian food, or else I would've made something else. Just give me 15 minutes, I'll go and make pasta for you.! Piya explained and turned around to go back in the kitchen, but Abhay stopped her.
"It's alright. I'll eat this for today." Abhay sat down and looked at the plate. He slowly took a bite and put it in his mouth. He chewed it slowly, while Piya's heartbeat reached it's peak.
Oh God! Please tell me he liked it!
"How is it?" She finally asked.
"It's... it's alright." Abhay said with a blank tone.
"Alright?" Abhay looked up at her.
"It's nice."
"Only nice?"
"Well what do you want to hear?" He asked losing his temper. Piya looked down, hurt by his comment, which he saw.
"I'm sorry. The food is really nice." He said it a little softly, though he still had a tinge of coldness in it.
"Humph! Sadu kahin ka!" She muttered under her breath. Abhay stopped eating and looked at her.
"You said something?" Piya looked at him in shock.
How did he hear me?
"N... n... no." Abhay gave her a nod and resumed his eating.
Thogh Abhay didn't say anything, Piya knew that he had liked the food a lot. For some reason, Piya was very about it.
An entire week passed by like this. Piya would cook for Abhay, as he had told her to, he would give her a small compliment, and then leave for the hospital. During this, Piya had found out the reason for Abhay's coldness- his parents. Bi had told her everything, but had left out something, and Piya knew it, but didn't ask. On day, Piya had tried to go inside Abhay's room, but he had strictly warned her. She was really curious about it, but didn't go further into it. There was something about Abhay, that was attracting her to him. He was reminding her of someone, but she couldn't exactly pinpoint who. His talking style, eating habits, everything was very similar to someone. But who?
On the other hand, Abhay was trying his best to keep Piya out of his mind, but failing miserable. She had token over his mind completely ad he couldn't do anything about it. Whenever he would come back, he would end up observing her. He found her really beautiful and cute. He had never seen a girl so innocent and pure like her. Her presense would relieve all his stress. But he knew that this was only going to be for a few days.
As of now, Piya was coming back from the store at night. She had went to get some vegetables as they were finished. While walking, she suddenly tripped over a rock and bag fell from her hand.
"Ouch!" She rubbed her arm and saw someone pick the bag up. She looked up and felt the ground being pulled under her feet. She saw Jeh and her friends standing in front of her.
"Jeh?" She whispered. She had pretty much forgotten about him over the days.
"Yes sweetheart. It's me."
"What are you doing here? Leave my way!" She said angrily.
"Ooohh. Temper, temper. I like it."
"What do you want?!"
"You know very well what I want. You. You ran away last time, but not now. Do you know how much work I had to do to get you to fall for me? I became all nice and sweet, became like those loser boys, made all those promises to you, and what not. But all in vain."
"You mean... all of that was just a farce?"
"Of course darling! Did you really think I'm like that? Of course not! Actually, when I first started to notice you in that way, I had made a bet with these boys.. You know, to get you in my bed and all, but you were a tough nut to crack. But later, I thought that you're not bad. So I did all this. But you ran away. But I promise you. I won't let you go now."
"I can't believe you Jeh. You did all this just to get me in bed with you? You played with my heart. I hate you Jeh. I HATE YOU!" Piya was in tears when he completed. She couldn't believe that she fell in love with a guy like him! The guys laughed at this.
"Well I'm sorry sweetheart. But I had to do it. And I know. You, too, want the same thing I do. So come on." He walked towards her and she went back. She hit his car and looked at him in horror. He came close to her and Piya tightly shut her eyes. Jeh raised his hands to touch her, but he felt a strong hand stop his. He looked back and saw Abhay looking at him with only one thing in his eyes-MURDER.
"Leave her." Piya slowly opened her eyes hearing his voice. She saw Abhay standing there, looking straight at her. Piya was glad to see Abhay there. She knew that he would never let anything happen to her. Both just stared into each others eyes when Jeh spoke up.
"Excuse me. Who are you to tell me what to do? Just go and do your work alright. Or you'll get beaten up badly." He looked at Jeh with a cold face. She tightened his grip on his wrist, making him wince.
"Ahh! Leave me you b*****d!" Abhay left his hand with a jerk and he fell to the ground. The other boys attacked him, but he took care of them all.
He was brutally beating all of them up. Piya was scared seeing the amount of anger he had in them. She had seen his anger, but this... this was crazy! She had never met a person who was full of anger. In fact, she was way far from these things. She had always been surrounded with love and only love. Hatred, anger, she had never faced them, but now, she was. She looked at Abhay. He was fighting for her, only her.
Why is he fighting for me? I'm just a stranger for him right? Then why is he fighting for me? Why is he doing this? His anger... it seems as if he'll kill anyone for me. Why?
She felt something on her and saw Jeh trying to force himself on her. She tried to push him away but he was too strong.
"Aah! Abhay!" She shouted. Abhay looked at her side and saw Jeh trying to force him on her. He walked up to him and pulled him away from her. He beat him up badly and cruelly. He saw a knife lying on the ground beside him and picked it up. He was almost about to stab him in rage when he heard Piya shout.
"Abhay!" He looked at her and saw her shaking in fear.
"Piya." He said in a whisper. Piya ran away from there and Abhay got up.
"Piya!" He gave a murderous glance to Jeh and his friends and then ran behind her, trying to stop her. They reached his house and she ran into her room and was about to close the door, but Abhay placed his hand there and she moved back.
"Why are you doing this huh?" She yelled at him.
"Piya? What did I do? I saved you from Jeh and his friends."
"Save me? You were trying to save me by almost killing them! What were you trying to do? Why were you trying to do that Abhay? Why did you do that? What right do you have to do this? What-" Piya questioned him. Abhay was furious on her questions. Even before she could finish, he held the back of her head and jammed his lips on hers, taking her by surprise.
He pushed her back against the hard wall, making her wince in pain. He kissed her hard on her lips. His eyes bored into hers. His lips moved against her virgin ones, extracting all the juice out of it. He fisted her hair, making her close her eyes in pain. Left her lips and she opened her eyes and saw fury in his.
"I have this right. This is the reason I almost killed those boys." He said slowly. He brought her face closer to his.
"If anyone tries to touch you, I swear Piya. I will kill them. And I mean it. No one has the right to come near you. No one. You are only mine. And you can't escape from this truth." He said in a voice that chilled her to the bone. He left her and then went out of the room, leaving Piya rooted to her place.
Piya slid down the wall and hugged her knees. She couldn't believe that she just got kissed by Abhay. For some reason, she didn't mind being kissed by him. In fact, she had really liked it. His possessiveness, his aggressiveness, she liked it all. When he said she was his, she actually felt good.
What's happening to me? Abhay just kissed me. He told me I was his. Why am I so happy about it? Why? What are these feelings? Would I have acted the same way if... if Jeh had done the same? No! I wouldn't have. When he came close to me, I always moved back. Not because I was shy, but I was not comfortable with him so close to me. But... with Abhay... it's different. I like him being so close to me. I want to be hold more tightly by him. Why? What's happening to me?
On the other hand, Abhay came out of Piya's room and went to his. He went and stood by the window.
"What did I just do? I shouldn't have done this. What will Piya think of me now? She'll think that I did all this just to get her body. Whatever happened, wasn't good." Abhay said to himself.
What does the destiny have in store for them? Was their meeting just a coincidence or... What will Piya's 'Escape' lead to?
So... how was it? Please do leave your comments. :-D
