I like it because their personalities compliment each other.
Sandya: The educated woman with a goal in life. She has a strong sense of justice and morality. She would fight for what she beleives in (the old Sandya anyway). To Suraj, she will bring justice and teach him English. Her influence may also stop him from becoming a doormat and he will finally realise that he has been used. He'll learn to say no to things that will cost him too much.
Suraj: The uneducated man who has no goals in life. He wants his family to be happy, he had no ill feelings towards anyone and is a very patient and understanding man. To Sandya, he will teach her that sometimes rules are meant to be broken for the family life and how to cook. He will make Sandya realize that there's more to life and that she is not alone. He will help reach her goals.
