This is a beautiful DOTW Namrata! đ¤ Thank you for opening it!
I won't talk about a specific memory, cause we didn't really have a last day as such! I had a one hour exam on my last day at school, after which I had to rush to the airport to catch a flight to Mumbai for my uncle's wedding! These are a few memories I'd like to share with you all.
Well, I jut graduated from senior high school this May, so all the memories are still fresh in my mind! We were a crew of some 20 people, where there were only 5 girls! We didn't have a last day as such. During our last sem, we all used to bunk school to stay at home and study. We'd only go for some important classes or to submit assignments. The last day ALL of us were together, would be my last day of board exams, and prom. We all wrote tons of crap in the paper (It was literature, and none of us had really studied for it!), and then walked to the nearby apartment block to have lunch at a restaurant. After that, we had another set of exams, but here we all had different subjects, different timings, different dates, so we couldn't really meet up as a whole once again. One of my fondest memories is that of my senior prom. At that time, I was in a relationship and so it made it all the more exciting for me, cause I had a date to prom! While I didn't get any corsage (he claimed hecouldn't find it! đĄ), I had the time of my life there! Sitting as a group, probably for the last time, talking, laughing, eating, and seeing pictures of our school days, listening to the valedictorian speech (which one of our very good friend had written, especially keeping us in mind) really made me cry that night! Of course, I slow danced with my boyfriend (now my ex) and a lot of my other guy friends, partied till late with everyone, came back home with my legs killing me...Oh what a day! How I wish I could relive that day! I would love to go back to high school and relive all those moments with my friends...those trips to an orphanage for community and service, after which we'd come back to the apartment blocks nearby and hang out...those TONS of surprise birthdays, all our outings to malls and amusement parks...bunking classes and sitting down on the stage on the 5th floor...prefect duties...what beautiful memories... đ
I'm gonna start my UG in engineering in a few months, and I'll make new memories there. But I know for a fact, I will never forget the wonderful times I spent in school.
I'm sorry if I bored any of you here!
Lots of Love,
Ritchelle
