Hope everyone weekend was good! I couldn't update during the weekend as I was busy with friends and family! The only time I get to enjoy with them 😆😆😆
So back to my usual daily updates!

Chapter 28
Maan sat at the dining table looking through some files while eating. Ocassionaly, he would look at Geet from the corner of his eyes. She was quiet as usual but this time she sat little bit far away from him. Whenever he would as her to pass him something, she would just slide the contents toward him. It was getting him mad for how long is she going to be mad? Its not like its his fault. No one ever made him say sorry and this would be the first time that Maan Singh Khruana will say sorry. He gets up to leave for work. He turns around to say something to her when the phone rang. Maan looks at the caller...
Maan: Hello...(he looks at his watch) hmm okay I will be there soon. (He turns around and goes toward Geet. She gets up seeing him. He pulls her face up making her face him.) Geet woh...(his phone rings again. Maan gets angry and picks up the phone) Yeah Rasika...yeah our meeting is tonight. Next time call the receptionist to confirm the appointment not me.
He leaves the house without looking back at Geet. She went upstairs mad. She lies on the bed thinking about him. "Can't even say sorry properly. I don't know what he is made out of." She sits on the bed...she looks at the table and something catches her eyes. She looks at the tawiz on the table. "He didn't wear this today? Now what? Babaji had said that it is for his protection. Should I go to work and give this to him? No...forget it...he will come home eventually..." She puts the tawiz on the table. She looks at the phone waiting for him to call but so far nothing. She lies on the bed and closes her eyes. After few minute, she sits up when a phone call disturbed her, "Hello..."

Maan entered the office with two bodyguards on both sides. He went straight to his cabin ignoring everyone as they stood up to greet him in fear. He sat on his desk and made a phone call.."Hello...is he here?" (he smiles) "Call Adi to my cabin..." He hangs up the phone...feeling satisfied...a minute later a man knocks on Maan's cabin. "Come in..."
Adi, Maan's accountant, came inside the room. "Sir you called for me.."
Maan: hmm there is a person outside waiting. He is here for him job position.
Adi: I didn't know we were hiring.
Maan: Now you know. I want you to give him a job that requires a lot of labor maybe a peon, office cleaner, anything...
Adi: But sir we don't have any position available
Maan: THEN MAKE IT AVAILABLE! Fire someone if you have to! I don't care. Understood!
Adi (scared) ye ye yes sirrr
Maan: Good! Have him start the position today. Here is his file.
Adi (looks through the file) Sir he has a degree and everything.
Maan: I know...and?
Adi: According to this he should be
Maan: Adi if you are so worried about him and his degree then I can give him your position.
Adi (closes the file) No sir that is not necessary
Maan: good you may leave. (Adi leaves the office. Maan sits back thinking about his next plan..."I will make you suffer and your whole family too...but first let me start with you and then move on to your family" He smirks...
His whole life flashed before him again, his childhood, his pain..he opens his eyes in anger. He thinks about Geet to calm him down, her pain flashed before him. He realized what he has done and hasn't said sorry yet. He picks up his phone to call home. The minute the phone rang he hung up the phone. For the first time he was scared and nervous. He was worried what if she doesn't forgive him? What will he do without her? Her silence already killed him little by little.
After a while his mind diverted back to work, even though it was hard for him to concentrate, every moment was spent thinking about Geet. He wanted to go home early but couldn't. There were a lot of meeting lined up today which he couldn't cancel. Soon the day was about to be over. Maan had asked Adi to keep a close eye on the new employee. Maan didn't want him to come and meet him yet. Nope. That little meeting was saved for later. For now he had other things to worry about. Once in a while he would look at the phone waiting for Geet's call but nothing came. He tried on so many levels to call her but failed to hang on long enough for the phone to ring. He looked at his watch, 6:30 time to go home...as he was about to get up...his phone rings..he frowns looking at the caller.
Maan: Yeah...I only have half hour to give you. After that I am done. okay I will be there soon...(he leaves the office to meet his client Rasika. The car stops outside of some kind of club. He goes inside..the guards of the club knew who he was and lets him pass by without any introductions. A young girl with mini dress walks up to Maan and kisses him on his cheek. Maan wipes his face from where she kissed him. She looks at him with a frown.) Miss. Rasika you have about 25 minutes to make a deal after that I am done.
Rasika (laughs) always in a hurry. Come lets enjoy a little. We can talk business later.
Maan: Don't waste my time! (he says in a threatening voice which scares her.) come to the point.
Rasika: Sure...I have a table for us at the corner. Why don't we sit there and talk. (She leads Maan to the table. He sits...Maan pulls out the contract papers.)
Maan: here you are! Sign this so that I can go.
Rasika: What would you like to have?
Maan: Your signature. I am not going to say it again. Sign it.
Rasika: hmmm let me read everything. (She opens the file pretending to read it. Maan sips his drink looking at his watch every five minutes. For some reason he was feeling calmed..as if Geet was here. He shakes his head no...he knew she wasn't the type to go to a pub but for some reason his eyes scanned the whole area. His eyes focus back on Rasika) Okay everything is good. (She signs the paper) There you are. Now can we enjoy one more drink?
Maan: Our meeting is over. Good bye.
He gets up..as he was leaving..he bumps into a familiar scent and body. He looks up and saw Geet in a suit. Both look at each other shocked. Maan looks behind her and saw Yash with another girl standing close to her while she looks at him with fear...He heard Yash say something to the girl..."that is him" but he tuned everything out as he looks at Geet. Rasika comes and stands next to Maan. Geet looks at him and then at the girl who had her hand on his arm. )
Note: Okay many of you guys no rather all of you guys are wondering who is the person that Maan wants to destroy? Well sorry can't reveal that now! That will be later on...😳😆 until then keep guessing...and I will keep giving you guys hints in the updates!😆😆
