I thought I wouldn't have time to post my reviews but couldn't resist 🤣 .

NOTE SOME of the CONTENT MAY SPOIL FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T WATCHED YET. Though I guess most have been discussed already 😆😆.

I watched 7 aam Arivu yesterday. And first of all, I had no expectations, what so ever while going for 7 aam Arivu 😳. I just wanted to go with the flow. The movie started off superbly, with a huge applause and cheer from the crowd 👏👏. Surya looked mindblowing in the Bodhi Dharman character ⭐️👏👏👏. The scenaries were amazing as well... and we thoroughly enjoyed it! Like historylover, I too felt this part could have been longer 😭...!!! But by now everyone were well into the movie.. !!

Dong Lee's Introduction (Johnny Tri Nguyen) was well received as well. After that almost everyone cracked up for the funny scenes 🤣 🤣 🤣. I thought the movie was going to be all serious but I guess there was a sense of humour as well at some point 😆😆.

In the first part, I felt that there were too many songs 🤔. Although we enjoyed all the scenaries and picturization, atleast one song could have been reserved for later on 😕!

Then things got a bit more serious yet none of us felt bored at any point. It was engaging...!!! Dong Lee's use of hypnotism, however, was a tat bit too much 🤔. It felt like he was using that power to control everyone's mind, especially during the car pile up scene. It seemed a bit gruesome at one point .

And I agree Aravid (Surya's character) seemed a bit lost in second part. Not sure if that was intentional, since he is a circus artist and he wouldn't know everything that a scientist does 😆😆...[ SPOILER DON'T READ IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED IT ] But when Dong Lee and Aravind meet for the first time, we all cheered loud 🤣, since that was Dong's first failure at controling minds.!!

And the climax was MIND BLOWING ⭐️⭐️⭐️👏👏👏!!! Loved it completely!

Performance Wise

Surya was AMAZINGGG!!!! He took great effort and portrayed the emotions of Bhodi Dharman and also the circus artist, Arvind, especially in the first part and the climax 👏👏👏. He was very built and it was a joy to watch ⭐️... no words can't describe it!!!

Shruthi hassan was awesome as well ⭐️⭐️... Hats off to her for dubbing her own voice 👏👏👏!!! She surely did great in this movie and acted well... many were full of praises for her, especially since this is her first tamil movie ⭐️!

Johnny Tri Nguyen.. Aaah... he was a great looking chap and did very well!! His body language and the way he walked 👏👏 truely fit the character of Dong Lee! He will surely go places in Indian Cinema... 👏👏👏⭐️⭐️... !!! He was the perfect fit for this role 👏👏 and many of us just wanted to get into the screen and stop this villain from doing the damage 😲🤣.

There are other characters too, but the above three stood out well!

Now Overall Movie wise!!! It was an awesome attempt!! 👏👏👏 I personally felt the story was good, and very informative! Many people appreciated it here! Now given that am a scientist myself, I was able to relate to it 😆😆!! I enjoyed this science fiction very much ⭐️!! Kudos to Murugadoss Sir for giving us a different type of movie with a great message 👏👏👏!!! I never knew about Bodhi Dharman till this movie! I was surelly a proud woman yesterday 😃⭐️! Lastly, it was great to see that all main characters were given equal screen space 😃!

Now I don't know if its me or something, but here the movie was only 2 1/2 hours, so am assuming they cut down some stuff

With regards to things that would have been made better... the use of hypnotism by Dong Lee during the car pile up scene could have been reduced a bit! And the songs could have been spread apart! And it wouldn't have hurt to add a bit of comedy in the latter part, but I guess it would have taken the seriousness out of the scenes 😃, so i guess it was fine the way it is... The ending seemed rushed 🤔. So in my opinion, they could have focused a bit more on the ending part, following the climax fight scene (which was amazinggg), things would have been a bit better for audience! They could have also showed what happened to some of the other characters (the other baddies... and those who helped do the research).

A number of us wanted to go and watch the movie again 😳, and since they only play the movie twice, I have to wait for DVD to come out! So for my city people, I guess we wouldn't mind watching it again 😳.

Surya indha moviela commerical heroinesaatam vandu poirukaaru (except for Bodhidharman)

He looks good(galmor appeal) & appears topless 😆😆

But that is how the story is - Its Shruti's character which moves the story forward ..

Suryavoda antha second character is kindoff not exactly a HERO

Thats what makes this movie different & execution konjam nalla irunthirunthaa it would have been great ..and thats where the director has FAILED..

this movie scores only for its STORY 👏

Screenplay maathram nalla irunthirunthaa this would have been in a totally different league 😒

I watched the movie few hours ago 😃. I went to theater without any expectations. Surya ennatha solla 😳 aiyoooh 😳. He looked mindblowing in the Bodhidharman character 😳😳👏. The sceneries were amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed it!! I never knew about Bodhidharman till this movie. Immediately after back home, straight hit Google thaan 😳.

I loved the 1st 20 mins and the climax scenes the most in this movie.

Brilliant acting by Shruthi and Johnny Tri Nguyen. Hats off to Murugadass for giving us this wonderful movie.

Going to watch again with other friends tomorrow, only for Surya.😳😳

finally watched 7am arivu 😳 and here's my take on it *Spoiler alert*

the first 20 mins were brilliant .. promising start, though it was in a documentary style .. but that doesn't matter... I felt tears in my eyes when Bodhi Dharman cured the girl and the way her mother ran up to her child and hugged it.. there's nothing like a mother's love in this world

however, the shift back to present day story and the sequences following up to the intermission, I would've expected it to be better ... Surya and Shruti had good chemistry, but I felt that the director didn't utilize it well in the first half .. Aravindhan's love appeared childish and ridiculous to me that I couldn't even feel for him when he sang Yamma Yamma .. I'm not against love at first sight, yet I didn't feel that same passion that I felt when I watched Nejukkul Peithidum and Anjala in Vaaranam Aayiram or the romance in Ghajini .. that magic was missing IMO ..but I still enjoyed the scenes when he first saw her at the circus, and was following her at the amusement park 😆

the songs in the first half also had very bad timing ... and because of the slow pace of the movie, the songs felt even longer than it should've been.. however, I appreciate the cinematographer for capturing such beautiful locations, especially in Mun Andhi ...

But I felt the movie really picked up in the second half... the whole look into history and combining with scientific efforts really deserves applause .. it's an unexplored concept in our Tamil Industry ... I also felt that Surya-Shruti combo finally shined too during the second-half... unlike the songs in the first half, Yellai Lama timing was really good ... the cute scene at the bus stop where he looks at her videos in her cellphone and screams out loud happily, and then her waking up, putting her cell phone away, carefully holding her bag close to her and kind of embarassed to about what he may have saw in it and worrying if he may have seen her love confession... i absolutely loved it 😆.. the genetics and hereditary concepts had me in awe.. the stunt scenes were fabulous <3

so in a way, the second half made up for the first half 😳 it was much more engaging and interesting

I thought Innum Enna Thozha would have a different picturization, still it's a beautiful song with wonderful lyrics..

the dialogues about Tamil and bravery deserve mention .. the theater was clapping, in fact I even cheered out loud that my mom told me to shut up 😆

The villain Johnny Nguyen was hot and deadly ... like each time he came on screen, I was more scared of him than the characters in the movie 🤣 🤣

Surya worked so hard for this movie and his efforts have not gone wasted.. however, the real show-stealer was Shruti .. I'm already a fan of her singing, and now I'm also a fan due to her acting ... I would consider her the hero of the movie ..

it would've been better if the first half screen play was improved and sharper editing

overall, I would definitely recommend this movie to anyone ... one should definitely know about their history ...

I, myself, is a fan of history.. in fact it's one of my favourite subjects in school ... and all this time, I had been learning about what other civilizations did .. and now after knowing a little fact about what a Tamilian did, I felt so proud ... but I also felt sad too that a lot of people didn't know who Bodhi Dharman was until this movie came out .. and just to think about all of our other forgotten heroes really hurts me ..

It'll be a true gift to Tamilians if all our hidden history is discovered ... there's nothing greater than that 😳

so my rating would be 4/5 ...
