DC: Sushant bids adieu

After playing the popular character Manav in Zee Tv's Pavitra Rishta for nearly two and half years, Sushant Singh Rajput is a free bird now. He quit the show on October 23. Why did he take so long to quit when he was talking about it for almost 10 months? "Well I started talking about it while I was doing Jhalak. Though quitting was certain and I also spoke about the reason for it, I never said when I would quit. I was under contract with Balaji and was waiting for it to get over," he clarifies.

While Sushant has quit, his reel and real life partner Ankita Lokhande will continue playing Archana. Wasn't she also planning to bid adieu to the serial along with him? "No, Archana never thought of quitting. I am happy that she is continuing with the show. And that's her decision," he adds. He was planning to go to New York for a short course in filmmaking but currently Sushant says he is not going anywhere. "I am taking rest and enjoying my break," he adds.
