Ab Shanno ki Shaadi, hafte mein teen din

Shanno Ki Shaadi, the popular serial on Star Plus, produced by UTV, will now be aired every Friday & Saturday at 10:00 p.m., in addition to Sundays at the same time of 10.00 p.m.

Shanno, the main protagonist played by Divya Dutta, belongs to a simple Punjabi Halwai family. She is the epitome of simplicity, with her old-fashioned salwar kameez and oily plaited hair. Her fundamental talent lies in making paranthas that are simply out of this world, so much so that Arjun (Vikas Bhalla), an NRI who has returned to India in order to find a bride, falls in love with her as soon as he tastes her paranthas. The storyline lingers on his attempts to woo Shanno and convince her father to let him marry her.

Divya identifies completely with Shanno's clumsy ways and her longing to get married. This is one serial that by-passes the oft used saas-bahu angle, and instead focuses on the friendly altercation between the future son-in-law and father-in-law.
