17.Out Of My Life Forever
Armaan walks out of the bathroom, fixing the collar of his white, ironed dress shirt. Riddhima stands in front of the mirror, fixing her red, transparent sari with a silver border and sequences. Armaan looks up while fixing his collar and is mesmerized by Riddhima. Her long hair opened and reached to her waist. Riddhima notices Armaan gaze on her through the mirror and shivers. Riddhima's eyes lower when Armaan moves his gaze away from her body and up to her eyes. Armaan walks up to the dressing table and fixes his hair then grabs the red tie from the bed. Riddhima didn't take his clothes out and Armaan didn't know what color Riddhima is wearing. Somehow they ended up matching. This could be a sign or coincidence. They were getting ready for Vijay's wedding. An employee that Armaan helped in the times which were trouble for Vijay.
They walk downstairs to find Anjali and Muskaan with Aarav in Muskaan's lap. Also, Atul and Rahul slouched on the couch, stuffing their mouths with chips while watching TV. Muskaan did a whistle when Armaan and Riddhima walk in the living room. "Wah wah! Tum dono toh bade ache lag rahe ho," Muskaan compliments. Armaan smiles and takes Aarav from her and kisses his cheek. "Damn Riddhima. Tumne apni body kaise rakhi bache ke baad?" Anjali asks. Riddhima shrugs as she didn't really have an answer and she was turning red about talking about her body in front of the guys. "Koi toh raaz hoga?" Muskaan asks. Riddhima shakes her head at Muskaan and glances at Armaan who was looking at her from time to time while playing with Aarav. "Humne chalna chaiye," Armaan said. "Okay," Muskaan takes Aarav and Riddhima kisses Aarav.
Armaan parks the car and they get out. Both of them look at each other for a while then walk inside. Armaan puts his hand on Riddhima's bare back, leading her in. Vijay was busy so they couldn't really meet him as the ceremony was about to start too. Armaan and Riddhima take their seats.
The ceremony starts and Vijay is already seated. The girl comes with her face covered with the veil. Now, ladies don't cover their faces like ladies in the past did. Vijay and his fiance are now husband and wife. Armaan and Riddhima were standing silently. "Sir, ma'am?" Vijay's voice came and they turn towards him. "Hey Vijay! Congratulations!" Armaan says, giving Vijay a hug. "Thank you," Vijay said with a grin. "Main aap ko apni patni se milwata hoon," Vijay said and gestures for his wife to come over. Armaan and Riddhima couldn't really see her face since her head was bowed. "Yeh hai Anu meri patni," Vijay said as the girl looks up. Armaan and Riddhima stare at the girl with wide eyes and shocked while Vijay smiles bigger. "Kya hua sir?" Vijay asks. Anu looks at them with her eyes wide too then looks at Vijay. Armaan's hand clenches into a fist while Riddhima was just shocked that her mind was blank. "Kya hua sir? Dard hua? Mujhe bhi bohut dard hua jab mujhe pata chala ke mera pyar aap ki biwi hai," Vijay said with his eyes filled with anger. Armaan looks at Vijay with shock, anger, hurt all visible on his face. Riddhima looks over at Armaan and finds him calm but sees the emotions on his face. "Aap ko pata bhi nai chala ke hum aap ke peet peeche kya karte the," Vijay said with a smirk. Riddhima looks at Anu with disgust and Anu looks at Riddhima with apologetic eyes. Armaan looks at Anu then at Vijay, anger taking over his emotions. "Anu ne jo bhi kiya, mere kehne par kiya. Mujhe toh iss baat pe haansi aa rahi hai ke aap ko pata bhi nai chala ke kaun aap ki biwi ko pareshan kar raha hai." Armaan was turning red in anger. Armaan points his index finger at Anu. "You are out of my life forever," Armaan said through gritted teeth and walks out. Riddhima looks at Vijay then back at Anu. Riddhima follows Armaan, scared and worried for him. "Riddhima," Anu runs after Riddhima in her heavy lehenga. They were in the corridor of the hall the wedding was held. "Mat lo mera naam apne moo se!" Riddhima yells turning around towards Anu. Anu looks at Riddhima with tears in her eyes. "Tum jaanti ho ke Armana kitne dard main the jab tum gayi! Tum aisa kaise kar sakti ho? Agar tum Vijay se pyar karti ho toh tumne Armaan ko kyun nai bataya?" Riddhima asks. "Main darti thi aur tab Vijay bhi nai yahan tha. Jab main usse mile toh meri aur Armaan ki shaadi ho gayi thi." Anu explains. Riddhima shakes her head at Anu and was about to turn away. "Main Armaan se aaj bhi pyar karti hoon. Main Vijay ko sirf apna dost manti thi lekin usne mujhe dhamki di thi ke woh Armaan, tumhe, aur mujhe mar daale ga agar main kuch nai karti. "Toh hume sach bata deti. Ma ban na bane ka bahana nai banati!" Riddhima screams at Anu. Anu shakes her head crying. "Main sach main ma nai ban sakti," Anu whispers. Riddhima becomes a little calm as it is every girls dream to become a mom, but right now Anu needs to know that you can't just hurt people. Anu gets a slight smile on her face. "Maine suna hai ke tumhara aur Armaan ka ladka hua hai, Aarav naam hai na. Vijay ne mujhe bataya," Anu said. Armaan gave the news to his employees when returned to the office. "Mat lo mere aur Armaan ke bache ka naam apni zuban se! Mujhe yakeen nai ho raha ke tum aisa kar sakti ho. Kya paya tumne yeh kar ke?" Riddhima yells. "Apni dost ki khushiyan, tumhari khushiyan," Anu whispers. Riddhima calms down and looks at Anu. Anu turns around and walks back inside the hall. Anu's line repeated in Riddhima's head as she exited the building. She gets in the car and right when she shuts the door, Armaan drove off.
Armaan barges in the house and runs upstairs and slams the room door shut. All four of them stood up, shocked at the burst. Riddhima walks in and closes the door. "Armaan ko kya hua?" Rahul asks, worried for his friend. "Jis ladki Vijay ne shaadi ki woh Anu hai," Riddhima says, angrily. Everyone felt the wind blow out of themselves. Its been a while since they have heard of that name. Armaan comes downstairs with his feet stomping. "Agar kisi ne bhi uska naam iss ghar main ya mere samne liya toh woh bohut pach taye ga!" Armaan says angrily and glaring at everyone. No one said anything as they were scared of this Armaan. They have never seen Armaan this angry in the time they have been friends with them. "She's out of my life forever! Riddhima aur Aarav meri zindagi hai ab! Samajh gaye tum sab!" All of them nod. Armaan runs his hand through his hair and turns his back to them. Rahul moves forward to his childhood friend and puts his hand on Armaan's shoulder. Armaan looks at Rahul and hugs him and cries. Riddhima cries silently, holding Aarav in her arms. She hands Aarav to Anjali and runs upstairs. Armaan pulls back from Rahul and sees Riddhima running upstairs. Armaan goes after Riddhima.
Riddhima is sitting on the bed, crying. Armaan sits next to Riddhima and puts his hands on her shoulders. "She's out of my life forever. Main uske baare main na kabhi socho ga aur na hi humari beech aane doga," Armaan said in a soft voice. Riddhima looks at Armaan crying. Armaan wraps his arms around Riddhima and hugs her as Riddhima cries in his arms.
Riddhima wakes up to find herself tangled in Armaan's arms. She sits up and wipes her face by her hands. She looks at Armaan sleeping, peacefully. Riddhima gets up and walks over to the window and the sky is clear. The starts are shining along with big round moon. Riddhima feels warm breathing on her neck and she looks up to find Armaan looking down at her. "Aap...toh so rahe the," Riddhima says, looking up at Armaan. "Tum chali gayi toh neend kaise aayi gi? Tumhare saath sone ki aadat ho gayi hai," Armaan said with a small smile. Riddhima blushes and looks down and out the window. "Sone chale?" Armaan whispers in Riddhima's ear. Riddhima closes her eyes and shivers. Riddhima slightly moves away from Armaan, but Armaan put his hand on the side of her waist, pulling her to himself. Armaan picks her up and lays her down on the bed. He gets on top of her and Riddhima looks up at him. Armaan leans down and kisses her forehead then moves to his side of the bed. For the first time they fall asleep in each other arms.
Armaan wakes up to find the bed next to him empty. He sighs and slightly sits up. Armaan sits in a slouched position on the bed with one of his knee mounted up. Riddhima walks out of the bathroom with her hair wet and no dupatta. Armaan looks at Riddhima and Riddhima gasps seeing Armaan awake. She thought he would be still sleeping when she is done showering. "Aap uth gaye?" Riddhima asks, nervously. "Nai main abhi tak so raha hoon," Armaan said sarcastically. "Obviously main uth gaya hoon." Armaan sits up straight. Riddhima looks down, embarrassed. He smiles and shakes his head. Armaan gets up and walks towards Riddhima, making her afraid. He grabs her arm to stop her from moving back. Armaan kisses her forehead. "Good morning," he whispers and walks in the bathroom. Riddhima smiles and blushes a deep color of red.
Armaan and Riddhima walks downstairs to find Atul and Rahul sleeping on one couch with Muskaan and Anjali on the other. Aarav sat between Atul and Rahul wide awake. They totally forgot about the people in their house and for the first time forgot about their son and felt guilty. Riddhima takes Aarav and kisses him good morning. Armaan gets an idea and smirks mischievously. Riddhima looks at him confused and Armaan just smiles at her. Armaan jumps on top of Atul and Rahul and they wake up screaming, causing Muskaan and Anjali to wake up screaming. Armaan and Riddhima burst out laughing. "Kya yaar Armaan? Aise koi utha tha hai kisi ko?" Rahul asks in a sleepy voice. "Main toh apne dosto ko aise hi utha tha hoon," Armaan said, sitting on both Rahul and Atul. "Abe tu kitna mota hai?" Atul asks, trying to get Armaan off of him. "Main mota nai hoon mere paas muscles hai. Tu mota hai," Armaan said, looking at Atul. Atul looks up at Armaan with his eyes slightly open. "Tch, acha theek hai. Lekin uth ja!" Atul says. Armaan gets off of them and Atul and Rahul let out a deep breath. Riddhima sits next to Anjali and Muskaan. "Tum dono kaise ho? Hum ko neeche chod gaye?" Muskaan asks. "Sorry," Riddhima apologizes with a cute face. "Tujhse naraz koi reh sakta hai," Muskaan said, giving Riddhima a side hug. Armaan smiles seeing Riddhima and Muskaan. "Waise Aarav is well behaved. Raat ko tang bhi nai kiya," Anjali said, rubbing her fingers against Aarav cheek, who sat calmly in Riddhima's lap. "Mera beta hai obviously well behaved hoga," Armaan said with a grin. All of them were seeing a new Armaan and they liked it.
Riddhima leaves Aarav with Armaan and gets up to get breakfast ready and Anjali and Muskaan follow her. Riddhima smiles at them and continues to get the ingredients for breakfast. "Riddhima, tum aur Armaan theek ho na?" Anjali asks. Riddhima looks at Anjali and nods. "Hum bilkul theek hai," Riddhima answers with a smile. Muskaan and Anjali were really happy to see real smiles on Armaan and Riddhima's faces. Before they use to be forced or fake, but this time they are real smiles. "Riddhima, tumne jo kiya hai woh shayad koi aur ladki nai karti. Woh sirf apne baare main sochti aur chali jaati. Agar woh Armaan se pyar bhi karti toh woh phir bhi chali jaati," Anjali said. "Woh Armaan se utna pyar nai karti hogi jitna main karti hoon," Riddhima said. They look at Riddhima surprised and smile. Armaan has found his real life partner.
Throughout breakfast, Riddhima is noticing Armaan's eyes shifting towards her then back to his plate. She thought there was something wrong, but when she looked his eyes, it would be filled with guilt and apologies and another feeling. Riddhima didn't want to think that the his third emotion is love because she isn't sure herself. She doesn't want to make assumptions and jump to conclusion. Riddhima wants Armaan himself to say that he loves her and not Riddhima forcing him. If Riddhima forces him maybe he won't be comfortable in their relationship. Riddhima hears Aarav crying which brings her out of her thoughts. Armaan quickly averts his eyes from Riddhima when he hears Aarav wailing. His life has taken so many drastic turns that he didn't expect or nobody can. About an year ago, everything was going perfect when things took a big turn and slapped him right in the face. Armaan shakes his head, forgetting all the past events. Armaan is going to start fresh and forget all that has happened in his life. There was never a girl named Anu in his life. There is only one girl in Armaan's life and that is Riddhima, his wife. Riddhima is his life along with their son, Aarav. No one is going to snatch Riddhima and Aarav away from him. He will not let that happen, no matter what. Armaan will fight for them if he has to.

Riddhima hears Aarav crying which brings her out of her thoughts. Armaan quickly averts his eyes from Riddhima when he hears Aarav wailing. His life has taken so many drastic turns that he didn't expect or nobody can. About an year ago, everything was going perfect when things took a big turn and slapped him right in the face. Armaan shakes his head, forgetting all the past events. Armaan is going to start fresh and forget all that has happened in his life. There was never a girl named Anu in his life. There is only one girl in Armaan's life and that is Riddhima, his wife. Riddhima is his life along with their son, Aarav. No one is going to snatch Riddhima and Aarav away from him. He will not let that happen, no matter what. Armaan will fight for them if he has to.
