Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha's short-lived love saga pays off; the actors to come together in Vikramaditya Motwane's upcoming romantic film

Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha's short-lived romance in real life will now continue on screen. The Band Baaja Baraat actor and his one time sweetheart Sonakshi will be seen together in Udaan director Vikramaditya Motwane's upcoming romantic thriller. This will also mark Ranveer's first step out of the Yash Raj Films camp.
A source informed Mumbai Mirror, "Sonakshi and Ranveer will finally come together. It is a romantic thriller and a very interesting script. Vikas Behl, Anurag Kashyap, Madhu Mantena and Vikramaditya Motwane will co-produce the film. In fact, the four filmmakers are very good friends and they have now formed a production company. This will be their first project for the company."
Confirming the developments, producer Vikas Behl told Mumbai Mirror, "Yes, all of us have come together for the film. This is going to be our first project."
Talking about the film, the source added, "The film will go on floors in December. This is an original screenplay and Motwane has written it himself. Both Ranveer and Sonakshi were keen on working with Motwane. They loved his debut film Udaan."
Ranveer and Sonakshi, who sparked off rumours about a romantic liaison with their dance number at an awards function, soon became a filmmaker's most wanted on screen couple. Expecting to bank on their real life romance, prominent filmmakers tried to rope in Ranveer and Sonakshi for a romantic venture.
"Earlier, YRF tried to bring Ranveer and Sonakshi together for one of their projects. However, Sonakshi opted out of it. She wanted to work in Sajid Nadiadwala's film directed by Sabbir Khan instead. A couple of other filmmakers have also tried to get Ranveer and Sonakshi to work together," said the source.
A formal announcement with all the details will be made soon, informed the source.
