As I remember, the lives of Suraj and Sandhya have been mixed up right from the start. At the time the parents of the girl meet with the accident, it is Suraj who takes them to the hospital, and calls on the phone in the pocket of her father. They do not know each other, but pass by at the time of the funeral. Her brother is in a dilemma, as he has to leave for USA the plans were made before the death of his parents, and he does not want to leave the sister alone. He has only 15 days, and Suraj's mother too makes the same challenge to get a bride for her son in 15 days. Here Krishna the match-maker comes in the play and sets the ball rolling. She is the one who tells lies, when the brother is tongue tied.
Here is a play of destiny. The story brings out the values of the old generation and the new. Education is less important than a craft for the old village mentality. Sandhya has grown in an educated family, and gets bound to the old and the story will provide glimpses of conflict and surmounting of odds. We have to wait and see, how this happens, and wait.
Hope the audience rises up to the occasion.
