a curiousity about gopi hugging scene

I was wonderign why gopi always hug ahemji with fingers closed. I mean when she hug him from behing she wont open her fingers on the back of ahemji... This i saw when she was hugging in swiss, i thought may be the shawl and kanaji. Then in bedroon, the education track. Today also at the iTA award performance she hugged with the fingers closed. I dont know why??? is she hesitanto hug (nazim) or its just me who is feeling like this...

Just curious guys...even i reply would be sufficient

I suspect it is a defence - a layer of defence or distance - whether it is Gia or Gopi, I cannot tell.

Open palms are very indicative of a free flowing transaction - you give and receive by way of open palms. Closing the palms restricts that movement of energy.

For example, normally (in India) if girls are pillion riding on a two wheeler with an acquaintance and the speed forces them to hold on, most girls hold like that - with a closed fist.
It is only with close people that the open palm is used - that is my observation.

The subtleties of body language in Indian culture, I guess. 😊
