Karan BHAIYA? :-s

hey guyz, did u notice in yesterdays epi that Sneha called Karan- Karan Bhaiya? 😕 i thought she must be older than him...

or have i missed something earlier this week coz i never watched it? 😕

some1 plz help me out here! 😛

Well, I never saw yesterday's episode, but Sneha is older than Karan, since I believe Pranav and Sneha are of the same age (correct me if I am wrong)

I don't Sneha ever had any conversation with Karan before...I think yesterday was the first meeting/acquaintance.

she called him Karan Bhaiya when she was talking to Pranav 😕

Oh ok...maybe we never really heard Sneha talking about Karan to Pranav. Yesterday was the first day she mentioned Karan.

to give respect sneha must have said bhaiya as karan alone would be odd

Tabu called her devars Bhaiyas as well! 😆 😆

Eventhough the bhabhi is older than devar, she has to call him bhaiya to respect him. It belief exists among many group of people.

That is correct. I have seen it in Gujratis, Maharashtrians, and Rajasthanis - you have to give respect to all older and younger people in your husband's family. Jeths & Devars are all bhaiyyas, whereas nands are didis or behens.

I was under the impression that all Indians would have this same custom!!

oye shakil i was gonna post this topic and good you posted it!! even i was thinking about this yest.!! i mean sneha calls karan, karan bhaiya!! so this mean that karan is older than pranav! i was confused there!! i don't know!! i mean when karan was having argument with pranav and other brothers, he was acting like the younger one!! so i'm confused there too!!

karan is younger... but i guess she said tht to give respect. my mom also adds bhai after the names of her brother in laws 😛
