Part 3:

Maan decided that he wud open his heart to her today… as it is an auspicious day for him as his angel was born on tat day…

He thot it is going to be the best day in his life… (but dnt knw he is yet to face more say it suffering r anything else coz they no complete sweetness in one's life)

Maan went to the Mall to get her the bestest of the gift he planned to get her the ring so after proposing her and will give her the ring (not knowing tat time has not yet fully come)

He picked up the jewel from the jeweler's all the girls where obviously shocked as the Maan Singh Khurana is selecting a ring…

His happiness knew no bounds while he entered the party area… it was accommodated in the lawn everyone was there chatting their hearts out…his eyes started searching for his angel…

There clad the most beautiful white sari his angel came gliding into the opening oh the moon light was just adding to the beauty he was mesmerized by the sight.

Every one gathered around her today he saw difference in her eyes…which he has never seen in her eyes before. Some where he felt she was not well at the moment.

She saw him and welcomed him…they talked for few minutes all the while his heart beating fast wat will be her reaction if he opens up his heart.

Her parents bought the cake for her to cut and placed it on the table with a candle at its center not wanting to reveal her age.

She was their baby whatever he age may be for them she is still a year old…oops not now they thot.

She made a wish like every year.

She cut the cake while every one wished her she fed her parents and took their blessing she came near him with a piece of cake…

And shared with him and next she shared with every one else. Every one handed her gift it was his turn now but he cudn't make an excuse as Geet's father was talking to him appreciating him… he was considered a family member after she joined KC and their friendship become thick…

He was also scared wat will be her parent's reaction…for what he is going to reveal…. What he doesn't know is tat two more souls like his wanted him to be hers.

Yes Geet's parents so wanted to Maan to become their SIL…

He excused himself from her dad in the pretext of getting a juice for him but her father knows him better it is going to be the day he is going to open up his heart.

Praying silently to babaji that let her daughter get her prince charming but also give him the strongest heart to with hold the strongest truth which he'll be facing.

He went to her she and gave her the roses

she took it from him very elegantly and offered him the juice

…he took it thanking her…fidgeting to open up but she knows him better so she directly asked him wat is bothering him and he can share it with her as she is his best friend.

He dnt knw wat to do he just opened up in a very polite way not wanting to hurt her but not realizing he is doing the same and reopening her wounds which was again healed by his friendship.

He went on his knees took her left hand in his he asked "Geet I want u to be part of my life as a friend, as a partner, as guide, as my well wisher like u have always have been." I dnt know the first time I saw u I felt more connected to u I felt there is something in u tat took me off my breathe I dnt know when I fell for u but Geet u have become a part of me that I can't survive without u… "I LOVE YOU GEET".

Those words went hammering into her heart ripping it the words which she wanted to forget the most yet here she is hearing the same words exactly the same words.

Tears flowed from her eyes piercing his heart making him think twice whether he did a mistake in opening up so soon…r rather he sud have talked to her parents first..

She cudn't stand there any more she ran to her rooms…

Maan got up from the ground when he felt her dad's hand comforting him…he smiled weakly while the other reflecting the same.

They quietly went to the place where the party was going on and frnds where dispersing.

They waited all the while Maan still in confusion and Mr. Handa not knowing how to disclose the truth to him.

Later he took him inside and made him sit on the couch. He went inside his room and brought something wat seemed like a photograph.

He called Maan to seek his attention as he was lost in his own world of thots…

Maan he said I know what ur going thro now it is most hardest moment in ur life when ur loved one is in pain and knowing u I know tat wat ur thinking ur are not at fault Maan this is the correct time u have chosen to open up but I also know tat her reaction will exactly be the same.

Maan looked at him shocked as to how he found out. Maan I know wat u feel for Geet not just know I knew it before u realized it. Keeping Geet's mind state in question I want to tell u something which I think Geet won't tell u at the moment. He passed the photo he slowly turned the photo and was shocked to see his photo.

Mr. Handa: Maan this is not u this is Rajiv my sister's son. I know Ur shocked. Yes he looks exactly like u. know I'm going to tell u wat is bothering Geet.

And Mr. Handa started telling him how Geet's sadness is related to him….he told him how both of them loved each other from their childhood but Rajiv being a shy type dnt open up so easily…how Geet made up sll kinds of plan for him to open up…until that one day when her happiness came into her life just like lighting and vanished with the blink of eyes…

That day Geet decided that she has had enough and she'll make him confess no matter wat…he was just going on with his parents words of marrying her he always told about he marrying her but never confessed oh she wanted to hear tat from him and fill her soul… she exactly made him jealous...

She had made a plan with her frnd who will be portraying as her BF…she set everything to be done

He reacted exactly like she wanted… They where supposed to meet in a restaurant he went and watched with painful heart what is happening… but it seemed the guy dnt turn up for some matter.

He'd expected this. He'd even hoped for it. But he still felt a twinge of — pity. She'd been stood up. Again. Here she sat, alone in an upscale restaurant, dressed in her favorite little black dress.

Rajiv watched her reflection in a mirror and saw the sigh that gusted out of Geet's mouth and ruffled her hair as she sat back in her chair, closing her eyes.

It was time to make his move.

Before she became aware of his presence behind her, he cupped the back of her neck, his thumb caressing her just under her left ear. He felt her pulse leap, saw a smile burst across her face as she turned to look back over her shoulder. Rajiv stepped up beside her and watched as her smile died.

Yanking herself away from his touch, she frowned at him. "What're you doing here?"

Rajiv just gave her a long-suffering look. Then, jerking his head, he said, "Come on. Let's go."

Rajiv hunched a shoulder and turned her head away. "Get lost. I don't need you to rescue me."

He glanced at the two empty water bottles sitting before her and pulled a bill out of his wallet to leave on the table. Then he stood there for a moment, gazing at the top of her head, his mind juggling the usual spank her or kiss her debate. Under his breath, he said, "Yes, you do. And this time I'm going to do it right."

In one way or another, he'd been rescuing her since they were kids, and she'd always resented it. Whether as a pre-pubescent tomboy, or the swan she'd evolved into, she'd been diving headfirst into catastrophes and he'd been reeling her out. And though until just recently — he hoped — she'd viewed him as nothing more than a bothersome big brother, he'd never considered her a sister.

Rajiv's problem was that every time he'd tried to tell her how he felt, he'd muck it up, the result being she'd never believed him.

He reached down and started to pull her chair out from the table, the muscles of his arm flexing.

She didn't surprise him. True to form, Geet was stubborn and tried to dig her feet in, but after a brief struggle she must have realized it was pointless. With a sigh, she let him help her up and followed him out of the restaurant. They walked for a block without speaking, but he had no problem reading her thoughts. She had an expressive face, and he'd been translating it for years.

Before long he was unlocking the passenger door of his car. "Come on. Get in."

She pulled away from him, then turned and lifted her head and looked into his eyes, still not saying anything.

Rajiv felt his lips twitch. "What? Still mad at me?"

She settled her butt back against the side of his car and shook her head, a sad look on her face. "I'm not mad at you. I'm mad at Mark. Mad at myself — or at least disgusted with myself." His heart clenched as tears began to roll down her face. "What's wrong with me, Rajiv? Why is it so hard for me to find someone who will care about me once in a while, instead of thinking only of himself? Someone who can remember which night of the week is my night, and which night is the night with the guys."

Taking a step forward, she settled herself against his body, her arms around his waist, the side of her face resting on his throat. His chin came down, and using it, he gently rubbed the top of her head while his arms surrounded her in a gesture of comfort and protection. Their movements were fluid and natural, as if they'd stood like this many times before. They had.

Geet mumbled into the bare flesh beneath her mouth, "If you crack a joke, or make fun of me, I swear I'll bite you."

Rajiv cupped the back of her head, pulled back, and dropped a kiss on her forehead. "It wouldn't be the first time, would it? All right, no jokes, no making fun. Come on. Get in the car. Everything will be okay. I promise."

Frowning up at him, Geet said, "I have my own car here."

Lightly squeezing her head, he said, "Kitty , I told you to get in the car. Now get in!"

Wrenching herself out of his hands, nearly hissing like the cat he'd just called her, she said, "Don't call me that! And how many times have I told you, you are not the boss of me!"

Grinning, he replied, "I've lost count. But I do remember that you were six years old the first time you said it."

Grumbling, crossing her arms over her chest and staying her ground, she said, "For all the good it's done me."

Exasperated, Rajiv said, "Fine, I didn't want to do this here, but you leave me no choice." With that, he pushed her back against the car, using the weight of his ****** to hold her there, letting her feel one facet of his desire, but knowing he had to make her understand the extent of it. With a deep breath, he said, "You've been a part of my life since you were six, and I was eight. So I can speak with authority and say there is nothing wrong with you, Kitty." He paused. "I wanted to drive you to the park near where we lived when we were kids. I was fourteen years old the first time I told you I wanted to marry you, and that's where we were. Since then I've told you four times. And each time, it was in that park."

He felt her gasp and heard the wobble in her voice as she said, "I told you no jokes. You're making fun of me again."

Rajiv leaned his forehead on hers. "Sweetheart, it's never been a joke. But the way I feel about you scares me, so every time I tried to tell you I deliberately made it sound like I was teasing. But I was serious, even when I was fourteen. Every time, I was standing there with my heart in my palms, offering it to you."

Geet put her hands on his chest and pushed him away, looking up into his face. "What are you saying?"

He swallowed around his heart, which had taken up lodging in his throat. "I

guess I still haven't said it, have I? I love you Kitty. I want you to be my

wife. And lately I've been thinking that, just maybe, you love me too."

She punched him on the shoulder and then yelled in his face. "You moron! Of course I love you. Why didn't you ever tell me?"

Laughing, Rajiv grabbed her fist, and then pulled her tightly to him. Lowering

his mouth to hers, he said, "I've been asking you to marry me since I was

fourteen! What more do you want?"

Ok if u want to hear tat from me here it goes… He went on his knees took her

left hand in his he asked "Geet I want u to be part of my life as a friend, as a

Geet was on top the world. That time she saw a ice cream cart on the

opposite side of the road. He saw the twinkling in her eyes and turned

to see wat she was looking at saw the cart… they both crossed the road

none wanted to tell wat the other is thinking they read the heart, and

now they are enjoying the ice cream… After the ice cream was over

Rajiv was about to pay for two but she asked for one more he shook his

head and got her one more she took it rushed for the car while he paid

and turned she was not there he saw her crossing the road but his

reaction changed at once when he saw a truck coming towards her he

called for her but she cudn't hear him, he just rushed towards her and

pushed her away she turned in time to see him hit by the truck …she was

all lost seeing him pool of blood they rushed him to the hospital his

condition was critical tat Docs gave up hope on him. He passed away all

the while Geet was totally lost dnt know what happened for more than a

week her mental state was totally shattered… we dnt know wat to do so

with the help of psychiatrist we where told to move out of the place and

we moved here and she saw u in her college…for the first time she came home and fainted …. After months we saw her happy for the first time when she saw u she saw him in u but later reality hit her and that when her college got over and she immersed herself in job hunting and wat to say is it fate that she again came and joined u. we made her understand that leaving the job which she was hell bent after seeing u as the boss will be a waste and she has to move on in her life and finally for the sake of us she moved on. She became friendly with u and brought u home and we where utterly shocked days passed u became like our family member and me and Rano noticed tat u have started feeling for her when u came for our wedding anniversary…we where happy that my daughter is going to live like any other person but now the time has come and we are leaving to you for winning her heart.
