People die, but music never does. It remains as the window to a man's soul for eternity. One such example is the Late Mr. Jagjit Singh. I regret his passing but at the same time celebrate the gift of music he left behind. His legendary songs will always remain a part of peoples' lives, especially mine. His music never failed to liven my emotions. Listening to his melodious tunes , the heart warming and poignant lyrics or his deep resonating voice was no less than reaching the depths of nirvana itself. Although difficult to choose his best ones I would list woh kagaz ki kashti and koi fariyaad as my personal favourites. The beauty of the two songs touched me in a way like no other songs ever have. Jagjitji will be greatly missed. May his soul Rest in Peace.
